“The content is amazing. I don't like podia though. I wish it saved my login. I wish there was a last watched section so I could pick up where I left off. With soundslice I wish there was a way to bookmark a spot in the movie to review later. Also soundslice is almost unusable on my phone, I'm glad that you provide just the plain videos. For longer videos I would like clickable links to times in the videos for each section. Sometimes I want to skip to a solo in a video and have a hard time finding it. I have to keep notes of the video and time spot.”

“"Excellent" is the key word..., in terms of the way & style of presentation in videos, the content and summary points of workbook, the user friendly way of following the music played in videos with living notation and last but not least the motivation provided to all of us, the emerging jazz pianists, through the courses. “Very good approach for Keez for Piano, and Approaching the Lead Sheet. Both courses offered practical useable information. The Penatonics course is not as useful. It so far (3 lessons) has been playing a pentatonic scale, with the instructor and a metronome. The accompanying fingering chart is only for the right hand. The instructors state to find your own fingering which for this is not helpful. To develop control, speed, dexterity and power for scale like playing the the fingering is critical. Almost all of the success of rapid playing depends on developing useable fingering for both hands. I found another book to help with pentatonic scales specifically which devotes a lot of time to the fingering. It has been more helpful. The pentatonics course as you may deduce for me is not helpful. I don't know if /when I will do another course from Open Studio. I will keep looking though at the options.”
