As a fairly advanced jazz pianist, I found your platform very useful. I particularly liked the transcriptions/explanations of the teachers' performances. Many aspects can be improved, however, this is a valuable set of resources for practice and self-improvement. Thank you.

Great content and courses! Only 4 starts because some of the transcriptions where a little innacurate.

365 days with „Hutch“ is a very inspiring quarantine tool for me right now, wich brings me back to focus again on the essentials but also gives me some great new ideas after 30 years of playing the drums. Thank you for your great work!

i'm very happy , Sean is a good teacher , only one thing for me is a little bit poor : the exercises , and the material to study is not sufficient , more scores, songs and other opportunities to improve the study , mostly for student like me , that are studying trumpet about tree years, it would be very valued. thank you for all !!

Open Studio is definitely one of the best Piano / Jazz teaching sites around the internet. It does a fantastic job of filling in any existing "knowledge gaps" you may have in theory and practice. One of the most detailed practice regimen. Although just one thing can be improved upon: if they make video downloads available for members who have purchased courses. Notwithstanding, I will not end this review without mentioning the synergy between the two teachers handling most of the piano courses, Peter and Adam, they are not only nice geezers, but well knowledgeable in their craft, as well as the rest of the team, In Sure! Please buy any course on this site! Ugo. Nigeria.

I purchased the Keez to Jazz Piano course for $129. Compared to some of the other competitors in the online Jazz Piano lessons marketplace, I think the price point is on the higher end, but I have been so impressed with the podcast and you tube content that I figured I'd give it a shot. Logistics: I had high expectations for the website and interface, and they were certainly met. The website and course flow is flawless. The living notation is so nice to have and the site is easy to navigate. I found it to be visually appealing as well. 7 stars. Course Material: I was looking for a course which would have some modern flair and advanced ideas that would help take my playing out of the intermediate level and into the advanced. I was pleased with the lessons but the curriculum didn't seem to have a particular rhyme or reason to it, covering a wide range of random topics categorized into core components of music (melody, chords, rhythm) but never touching on the elementary core concepts... again, not a problem, and certainly in line with what i was looking for : Digestible lessons of advanced concepts to help modernize and expand my playing... but that makes me wonder... whats the difference between "Keez to Jazz Piano" and "Advanced Piano Concepts" also by Geoff Keezer? Am i missing more licks and concepts that should have been included in the Keez to Jazz Piano course? would that have been a better course for me? I worry that the ambiguity between the two courses may cause potential students to struggle to commit to one in particular. The concepts in Keez to Jazz Piano certainly seemed advanced to me, so what am i missing that was omitted from this course for the purpose of being included in the Advanced Jazz Piano Concepts course? Conclusion: It pains me to not give the course 7 stars, but I must be true to my ever so slightest dissatisfaction. I would rate my experience at 4/5 stars. Suggestions: There are many moments when Keezer is providing the student with examples of certain rhythmic or melodic concepts, and sometimes these are notated via soundslice, but they are omitted from the workbook. Although you can print the soundslice to pdf, it would still be nice to have some of these included ahead of time. Further, there are other times when he goes into an improvised passage and it isn't even notated. Please spare me with the "use your ears, transcribe it", I did and I have transcribed the lines which resonated with me during these periods of Keezer Shedding at the end of the video, but I cant help but feel like it would at least help to have everything notated ahead of time. I'm very satisfied and I think if I could go back and do it again I would simply purchase the access pass. Thanks for the hard work Peter, Adam, and Geoffery, Open Studio is clearly the forefront leader in online Jazz education.

I did the Pentatonics course and still working through it to build speed particularly with the triplets and semi quaver patterns. My disappointment was in not having suggested fingering for right hand on all twelve scales. I appreciate that we can work out what is supposedly best for ourselves but written suggestions would have been beneficial in keeping with the support promised.

The Jumpstart course is little bit confusing. It starts with description of pianos, synths, midi, usb... and the first guided lessons beginns with an etude which is maybe moderate for beginners. Greetings Bartosz
