“Opendoor made the home selling experience pleasant with minimal stress. From a very fair offer, great communication, and allowing my family and I to use the home a few days after closing…it all seemed to good to be true. Then Opendoor deposited our proceeds less than 24 hrs after closing. I’d give them 6 stars if it was possible!!”

“At first I thought it was to good to be true, but was quickly reassured that this is legit. My experience was so smooth that I still cannot believe it happened as stated on the app and webpage. My story is not fantastic, but it is true and believe me you will love the experience. The process is all on you, once you get the offer, you accept or decline, if you accept then you pick a date for closing. Follow what is asked of you and once closed get the money owed if there is a difference between what you owe and the offer plus cost. I received my funds the day after closing. Yes, the day after closing the funds were in my account.”

“What a wonderful and easy process for selling my home. It was so easy and smooth. Granger was the representative I worked with and he was great. After agreeing to sell he was always available when I had questions and responded promptly. I would recommend this to anyone. From beginning to end it was great. It sure beat having to show the home and deal with all that.”

“I can’t believe how easy it was to sell my home through Opendoor. I am very busy, have dogs, and as you know when selling a home typically it needs to be shown over and over causing disruption to daily life. Not with Opendoor. I can’t believe how easy the process was to video my home up load it and get a quote. The team on the selling side was so supportive! I could text or call my coordinator with any questions and she walked me right through next steps. When closing on my new home was delayed after closing on my home I sold to Opendoor, we were able to stay for free for an additional 6 days which helped us to coordinate our moving truck and helped to save other costs. Just so happens we also bought an Opendoor property so we experienced selling and purchasing. I can’t believe how seamless the process was. Each coordinator helped us step by step. If you are selling your home you must consider Opendoor. The ease to selling and the above market offer we received was amazing. I highly recommend Opendoor!!!”

“As a seller, I do not recommend doing business with them. Alexandra Melendez the Transaction Coordinator for Opendoor overlooked supposedly some critical information for Opendoor which caused them to decrease their offer nearly $20,000. This change in offer price came on the last day of their 10 day window with less than 12 hours remaining. Fortunately I did not need to take their offer and rather wait for additional offers to come in that are more reasonable. This felt like dirty buyer tactics from a company that is looking to take advantage of sellers to turn around and re-list the house at a much higher price to increase their profit margins.”

“Stacey Hurley was extremely patient and helpful. I never had to wait for an answer to any of my inquiries. She always responded in a timely manner. The whole process was quite easy with proper instructions. Also my representative at OS National Title, Beverly Bergthold, was nothing short of amazing.”

“Selling my house thru Opendoor was an excellent experience. Our experienced partner Josh Forrester made the process simple, was super responsive and was a pleasure to work with. Opendoor business model works. The positive reviews that I read are true and this is an honest operation with excellent people. On the other end, my purchase of a new home was Not thru Opendoor and turned out to be a complete headache. But get this, due to the hiccup that caused this, Opendoor still allowed me to participate in their 1% Buyer Refund program... Love it! No more traditional Realtor services for me. For a smooth run from Sell to Buy, I highly recommend Opendoor. Thanks”

“If I could give zero stars I would. Not only are they not fully transparent in their contracts, even as the facilitator for a 3rd party. Addendums were not referenced in the section pertained to. They make their own rules and do not clearly reference the addendums. They pulled out of the sale 72 hours before closing. Not only do we lose time, we lose utility deposits, movers and much more. What’s even more disgusting is they immediately placed blame on the 3rd party company they represented, even after admitting they were paid an additional fee by the 3rd party company to add an addendum that, according to my brokers legal team, was “a technically legal, however, very unethical loophole.” RUN, DON’T WALK if opendoor makes an offer, even as the facilitator of a 3rd party. By the way, the third party was Progress Residential.”

“We were skeptical of iBuyers but Opendoor was exactly as advertised. The process was very easy, straight forward and stress free. I will note they charge a "repair fee" upfront which was just less than 1% for us. There was nothing wrong so essentially it was a 6% fee s the 5% advertised when you do the math. I would use them again for sure.”

“Haven't gotten past the initial "just put in your address to see value" BS that turned into a million questions and then after all that they couldn't give me an estimated value the reason did not make sense I spent 10 minutes answering a bunch of questions thanks for NOTHING”

“OpenDoor made it extremely easy for us to prepare to downsize. We got an offer that was very reasonable within 3 days of our virtual walkthrough. With this in hand, we were able to make an offer on a new build and have over 3 months to pack, plan and buy what we needed for the new house. Checkout was painless. We would highly recommend OpenDoor and have done so to several friends and neighbors.”

“I would have rated much higher except for the apparent bait and switch with my 'ASIS' contract. I was in the process of signing the first contract when I noticed my first name was spelled wrong. I contacted my representative who said it would be corrected and sent back to me the next day. I received the contract and proceeded to sign assuming the financials did not change. After signing, to my dismay, I noticed Opendoor had added a $7100 'Repair Addendum' to my 'ASIS' contract for my 2b/2ba condo. Very high and not what I thought I was agreeing to. I would have disputed this had I known at the time.”

“I would use Opendoor again many times. Process was very seamless and very communicative. I’m still in home for 5 more days after closing but they have abided by every promise they made. Once I signed contract…no more appraisals, inspections, etc. just like they said. I closed on new home today and it was my bank that was issue with receiving funds from Opendoor. If you want a no hassle/easy and convenient sale of your home then Opendoor is way to go. I received market value of my home and didn’t have to go through pain of listing it the traditional way. Now I just have to get everything moved out, sweep/wipe things down but no deep cleaning. Major stress wiped away with Opendoor handling all else!”

“I purchased a home that was being built in CA and it would have been so much more complicated if Opendoor wasn't an option. They made the process so easy! I was able to schedule my closing date up to 9 months in the future which allowed time for me to stay in my current home until my new house was built. Then when it came to closing time, I was able to coordinate this with the closing of my new home and stay up to 7 days post-closing for no additional fee. This allowed me time to close on my current home, close on my new home, and schedule movers. This was the best decision I have made to-date!”
