I never heard of this company until this morning when they attempted to take £59.99 from my account & luckily my bank blocked it, but then I find that This company took £59.99 out my account last year. This is a scam😡

On May 22nd I bought a flight from Seville to Paris from Opodo. The price of the flight on the airline's website was €98. Opodo offered the same flight for €84 on the condition of becoming a Prime customer (with a 30-day trial period, free and cancelable at any time). I found the offer attractive, but was wary of Opodo due to its bad reputation. So I decided to hedge my bets and take a screenshot of the price and Prime membership terms and conditions. Then I bought the ticket. What was my surprise when I saw that Opodo had charged me €130. The reason for this, they argued, was that their system didn't register me as a Prime member. I called the next morning and a lady from support listened to me and said: "You are right, but I can't do anything, I just work here." I later received the link through which I could file a complaint with Opodo's finance department. Still without success. They completely ignored the screenshot I took. I feel cheated and have not only lost money but also my time. I recommend anyone who has been scammed by Opodo to file a complaint with the European Consumer Protection Agency and share their experiences on websites like this one. I have also initiated a dispute resolution process with my bank to reclaim the funds. Only consumer pressure will bring an end to this company's deceptive practices.

I had a horrendous experience with Opodo while trying to manage my return flights from Mauritius to Almaty through Delhi. Here are the details of my ordeal: 1. **Cancelled Tickets with Partial Refund**: While in Mauritius, my return flights from Mauritius to Almaty via Delhi were cancelled. Opodo offered a refund, but only for the Mauritius to Delhi leg of the journey, leaving the Delhi to Almaty ticket non-refundable. This significant financial loss was not clearly communicated upfront. 2. **Lack of Refund Clarity**: Opodo did not inform me that the refund would be partial. Had I known, I would have requested an exchange for better alternatives instead of being left with only half the money returned and no viable travel options. 3. **Lack of Direct Flight Alternatives**: By the time Opodo cancelled my flight, no direct flights from Mauritius to Delhi were available. The only remaining options required a stopover in Mumbai, which necessitated an Indian visa that I did not have. 4. **No Assistance Provided**: Despite my urgent need for assistance, Opodo was unhelpful in resolving the situation. As a 7-month pregnant woman, I was left stranded without support, unable to purchase a new ticket or endure a journey of more than 30 hours, which were the only options available on their platform. 5. **Stress and Health Concerns**: The careless attitude of Opodo's customer service caused immense stress, jeopardizing my delicate pregnancy condition. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist left me in a highly distressing situation. Overall, my experience with Opodo was appalling. Their indifferent and unhelpful service, coupled with the financial loss, lack of clear communication about refunds, and lack of viable travel alternatives, made this a nightmare scenario. I strongly advise against using Opodo for travel bookings, especially if you anticipate needing any level of customer support. This company’s careless attitude has left me deeply dissatisfied and stressed during an already vulnerable time.

Dont use them. They automatically sign you up to their annual subscription if you take a discounted flight. It's borderline fraudulent. The customer service guy was ok but pretty much refused to refund my money. Used quite high level upselling strategy instead. In the end i took a discount just to stop going round in circles and god knows what cancelling will be like next year. Just leave well alone

I bought a ticket from Opodo in 2022 and in September 2022 and September 2023 they stole money from my account. I tried to contact them my phone or on their website, but the reference which they gave for booking, had expired so I couldnt get to them. I opened a case via bank, but bank didnt do anything till date. I advice all not to buy from them as they steal money from accounts and there is no way to contact their custommer service.

Their website sneakily lures you to get a one month trial period of their Opodo Prime Plus. After the trial period expired, they charged my credit card for a one year renewal without informing me or my consent - their terms and conditions clearly say they'll warn you before the trial ends. Then they refused to refund me for this service that I never wanted, never used, and do not intend to use. This is theft!

Bought a flight ticket via opodo prime from Berlin to Barcelona - package flight & hotel. Checked separately and was not any cheaper. Furthermore we also paid for baggage. When we checked in was told we had no baggage allowance and was required to pay on the spot €108. On arrival we called Opodo 3 times (3days) and each time they said it was sorted. The 2nd time the person said will call us back but no return call. We called a third time before checking in online & was assured all sorted. On arrival at airport airline confirmed Oporto did not pay for any baggage. So again we had to pay €50 for baggage. Yes what a scam !! Now trying to get Opodo online to sort out refund is a joke!! We should have an avenue to complain to the authorities about this company to enforce the service provided or to refund.

I left my bag on a flight in Aukland in February so had to cancel all my cards and obtain new ones. Opodo have just taken a membership fee from my account, even though I cancelled it, using my new card number. How did they get my card number?? I certainly never gave it them. I have disputed the matter with my bank

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE A SCAM TRAVELLING AGENCY AND WILL AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR A SUBSCRIPTION THAT WILL HAVE YOU PAYING A NON REFUNDABLE £60 OR MORE MONTHLY WITHOUT ANY PRIOR REMINDER. THEY ALSO HAVE VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON ANY OF THEIR COMMITMENTS. I HAVE NOW CHECKED AND THEY HAVE MULTIPLE BAD REVIEWS AND I DONT KNOW WHY SUCH A COMPANY IS ALLOWED TO EXIST. I HOPE THEY CLOSE THEM DOWN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED, SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU OF THEIR ONGOING MEMBERSHIP, UNTIL AFTER YOU PURCHASED FROM THEM. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR BANK DETAILS THEIR MEMBERSHIP IS DEDUCTED ON A MONTHLY BASIS THEREAFTER. SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!

I was scammed by this company along with many others. They offer you a cheap flight but two weeks after you book, they deduct a $100 claiming you signed up for their membership. They refuse to refund you the full amount, only 50%.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The Opodo company dealed with Transavia an airport flight from Paris to Amsterdam in Oct.2022. The flight was cancelled without exuse and Transavia refunded the money to the agent Opodo without any possitive of negative answer from thwm to my claims. They answered to me by the robotic sms dialogue wich is completely ironic to the customer. Unacceptable !

Opodo is a total scam Don’t book through them Even when they offer deals you end up paying more cause some of the deals are fake I had a return flight from Marrakesh to Munich which turned out to be fake. They just take your money and run

I booked a flight to France with 'Flexibility' package that stated I could change the date of the flight. However, after trying to change the time, they just say that there was an issue with the change, and that they tried to contact me via phone (which they certainly didn't do) and there's nothing I can do about it. I fear the tickets are not even real. I will likely try to claim something back through consumer centre.

AVOID OPODO!!! I FEEL ROBBED because after I purchased my flight ticket on 11/04/2024 for 170.64 which so far was reasonable but on the very next day 12/04/2024 from my bank account has been taken ANOTHER 69.99 (from OPODO again, for "some reason") and WITHOUT MY AWARENESS.. (otherwise I would not purchase the above ticket) I AM NEVER GOING TO OPODO AGAIN! VERY DISAPPOINTING!

I had booked a flight from Prague to Manchester with Opodo. Flight was confirmed and informed that boarding passes would be sent 8 to 24 hrs before departure. A day before departure email to say that they are unable to send boarding pass and to go directly to airline. Unable to obtain this. Opodo had used a different email to mine to make this booking and a different reference number. We called Opodo. Opodo was unable to help us and said we would just have to go to the check in desk more than 2 hrs before the flight and pay for our boarding pass. This cost us 1650.00 CZK. £57.14 sterling. When I contacted Opodo again about this they said they don't do refunds and couldn't help us. First and last time wirh Opodo.

Booked through opodo prime, they showed a big saving , priced with airline direct, found same price !. kept with prime trial as free 30 days, but auto checking was not working through their system for some reason. Airline could not find booking, bounced between the two to get sorted, after 2 hours of chat box and logins and cache clearing, airline customer service on phone sorted eventually their end. Opodo Prime no help or benefit this time, just made it more complicated, so thought to cancel, using the app... it wouldn't cancel for me, had to use website and pass through all the sales pitches before cancelling trial. Phew ! didn't want auto direct debit to pay for more hassle.

Opodo is a big Scammer. I've paid for a £90 voucher and I've called customer support more than 30 times regarding my vourchar and now 25 days have passed but still I didn't receive it. They always told me you'll receive it within 24 hour but they're lying.
