I booked flights for my boyfriend, my sister, and myself — not realizing that a Prime account had been automatically renewed (without any reminder email or notification). Because of this active account (which I had actually intended to cancel — but the agent at the time only refunded the money for the membership, without cancelling it), we experienced problems after the booking. We ended up having to pay an extra €142 for two of the flights, due to a price difference caused by the Prime account — even more expensive than booking directly through the airline. As an apology, they offered us a credit voucher. I then wanted to cancel my flight and rebook it in order to redeem this credit. I did that — but was no longer able to rebook the flight. Shortly after, my account was deleted and the voucher was gone. So to summarize: We ended up paying significantly more than we would have if we had booked directly through the airline. I was never able to use the credit they gave me. I had to pay cancellation fees on top of everything else. I had to buy a completely new ticket from the airline. All in all, we spent hundreds of euros more than necessary — just because I booked through Opodo. I find it completely unacceptable that subscriptions are renewed without any reminder. The customer service was at times borderline insulting. They’re not allowed to hang up, so one agent just put me on mute for 10 minutes — until I gave up. I didn’t just lose money — I lost 4–5 hours of my time trying to explain the entire situation to them and arguing for a refund that I rightfully deserved. It was absolutely ridiculous. So please take this to heart: Book directly with the airline or through platforms like Booking.com, where everything is handled properly. I even read afterwards in the news that Opodo has already had legal trouble with the courts. Stay away! Better to pay a few euros more — and have peace of mind.

I have been waiting for a refund since 2021. After numerous phone calls and letters threatening to take them to court, still no correspondence. Terrible company. I wouldn't use them again ever.

1 star - Misleading 'free' membership offer and poor customer service I recently booked a flight with Opodo because I was offered 'Prime Membership' with 15 days free and no surprises. However, despite selecting this membership option, I was charged within three days. When I tried to cancel the membership, I was told I would not receive a full refund and customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive. I was told it was a product and not a subscription, which was misleading from the start. It was impossible to reach a supervisor and the staff seemed to just read off a script without really being able to help. This experience left me with a bad impression and I would urge caution before committing to any 'free' offers with Opodo.

Plus jamais ça 😡! Opodo, c’est fini, trop de problèmes répétitifs avec cette société. J’ai réservé et acheté un vol il y a 6 mois. La compagnie aérienne vient d’annuler mon vol le jour jour prévu. J’ai donc dû racheter un billet 200 € plus cher auprès d’une autre compagnie, toujours sur le site Opodo. Opodo a attendu un mois pour me rembourser et en plus ´ma facturé des frais d’annulation ! Non négociable. Malgré un statut Primé. L’annulation du vol n’est pas de mon fait, je n’ai pas en plus à payer des frais d’annulation. Mon avocat prépare maintenant un référé auprès du tribunal pour préserver mes intérêts. Fuyez ce site.

If there was an option to give 0 stars, I would have chosen that! My flight was cancelled by the airline and I did not receive my refund after more than two months by now! Soon over 20 mails and messages with the support and nothing happened so far! Unbelievably bad!

Extremely bad company. I bought two tickets, got refunded for one, didn't receive back the full amount even if support told me I will get back. There is no way of canceling your prime subscription if you test the free trial!!!

The worst travel agency ever, never buy a ticket with them, they forced me to take their membership for one year, because somehow I bought two separate flights with test abo, and they immediately charged me for one year membership without allowing to test for 15 days. It is very unethical, directly to charge clients, even if the client made a mistake. I want write about two other cases, which I had bad experience with this company. About many years ago, I bought accidentality for the same person two flight, and it took over 2 months, that they gave me money back. Another bad experience I had with Edreams which also belongs to Opodo: before two days to my flight they cancelled my ordered ticket, which I bought about 2 months ago.

Worst customer service experience ever! -> They just don't want to cancel a prime subscription I never made... a test subscription was made a yearly subscription when I requested an invoice and did not make any booking! ...fighting with them for weeks now :( Not willing to help! Also not okay how the site/app tries to force you into prime!!

Worst travel agency ever.... I am flying frequently between europe and north america since 20years. I never had any major issue using the plane company website everytime. last time I had to take a flight in a hurry, without knowing precisly the date of my return. I used opodo and their Flex option to be able to change my return easily. Turns out the flex option is working only until 24h before the departure of the first flight. Meaning you can't change your return after you took the first flight. First time I got screwed like that. I won't go for Opodo again and will make sure nobody around me end up using their service

They only have AI for support which is sorry and always learning. I needed a corporate invoice from them and it was impossible to get it, so overall the tickets might cost me whole lot more than what I paid for

I booked a round-trip flight from Hamburg to Montevideo via OPODO on 14 September 2024 (Booking reference: 18957034311) for €1,600.97. The airline (Lufthansa) immediately cancelled the booking, as the layover times were too short and the flight could not be accepted. Lufthansa informed OPODO right away, but OPODO never informed me. I only found out the flight was invalid when I tried to check in just one day before departure. OPODO continued to show the flight as confirmed and even emailed me a confirmation the night before. This last-minute discovery caused serious disruption to my travel plans and additional costs (hotels, transport, etc.). Lufthansa rebooked me on a flight two days later, but my holiday was ruined. I submitted a formal complaint and refund request to OPODO with all documentation on 15 February 2025 — they never responded. I am now seeking a full refund and damages through PayPal and the European Consumer Centre. This was not just a mistake — it was a complete failure in service and communication. At minimum, I expected OPODO to reply.

Don't use Opodo. It is not user friendly and the customer service is also worse. I called their customer service and they also saying they can't do anything. I simply request them to share me e-ticket number and e-ticket confirmation pdf file but they can't provide any. Even I don't want to give 1star. it is not worthy to use that website.

I booked a flight with FlyOne through Opodo (reference 18133072946) for a journey from Stansted to Tbilisi, with a layover in Chişinău, in August last year. Due to a delay on the first leg of my flight, I missed my connecting flight. When I arrived in Chişinău, FlyOne informed me that there were no other flights available for another 2.5 days. As a result, I had no choice but to purchase a last-minute ticket for €180 to continue my journey. For the past six months, I’ve been tirelessly contacting both FlyOne and Flightright (a flight delay compensation company), but to no avail. Desperate for a resolution, I reached out to Opodo on 10th March 2025, hoping they would assist in dealing with FlyOne. Unfortunately, their response was not just disappointing—it was appalling. They claimed to have "forwarded my refund request to FlyOne but hadn’t heard back" and told me I should now deal with the airline directly. This came after I had already informed them that I’d contacted FlyOne multiple times since August 2024, without success. Opodo has completely washed their hands of the situation, refusing to take any responsibility or offer any compensation for the additional costs and extreme inconvenience I’ve faced. The lack of customer service and accountability from both Opodo and FlyOne is frankly shocking. I am thoroughly frustrated and deeply disappointed by their unwillingness to help resolve this issue. I strongly advise anyone considering booking through Opodo to think twice. If anything goes wrong with your flight, you’ll be left to fend for yourself—Opodo certainly won’t lift a finger to assist.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Opodo, and I strongly advise against using their service. I booked a flexible ticket specifically because I needed the option to change my return flight if necessary. On their website, it clearly stated that I could change my ticket before departure, with all costs covered. However, this turned out to be completely misleading. When I tried to change my return flight, I was told that changes had to be made 24 hours before the outbound flight—something that was never mentioned on the website. Now, even though I haven’t flown my return flight yet, Opodo claims my flexible ticket has expired and refuses to help me in any way. Customer service has been a nightmare—completely unresponsive, irrelevant, and unwilling to acknowledge their misleading information. Every time I complained, they just repeated that they had sent me a confirmation email with the terms and conditions, refusing to acknowledge that their website had deceptive wording about flexible ticket changes. This is a scam. They lure customers in with false promises and then refuse to take any responsibility. I’ve made multiple complaints, yet Opodo keeps deflecting and refusing to offer any real solution. If you’re considering booking with them, don’t. You’re better off booking directly with airlines to avoid being trapped by their shady policies and unhelpful support.
