PLEAE BE AWARE OPODO OPERATE A SCAM TO GET YOU TO SUBSCRIBE TO PRIME MEMBERSHIP. They sign you up then you are unable to turn off auto-renew. After 12 months they will take a further £79.99 from your account whether you want them to or not. They will trick you into signing up for another 12 months at a reduced rate. BUT STILL THEY DONT TURN OFF AUTO-RENEW. Be aware of this. I have communicated verbally by phone, by email and by complaint to ensure auto-renew is disabled, but every year they take £79.99 from my account and tell me its non refundable. I have had this issue for 4 years. I dont want to be a customer but they keep taking my money. I have sent them a copy of an email that explicitly states I do not want to be a Customer and not to auto-renew my account, but every year they continue to take my money. A VERY DISHONNEST company. I am looking to take legal action and get the Press interested. BAD BEHAVIOUR from Opodo. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY! If we all complain then they will change their dishonest behaviour. Please share your experience of this too

I booked a flight and with knowing had had subscribed at £99 a year.i did all I could to get out of it but they said it was to late for refund.all they could do was offer £99 off my next flight,im not a regular flyer.i thought they had unsubscibed me but I have just been billed again ! They are a scam !

I am a long time Prime member and have used Opodo for private and business flights, but I have had enough of their non-transparent and dishonest practices and will now cancel my membership and never use Opodo again. Having used their price freeze option on three flights at a cost of 860 Euros, I went back three hours later to confirm the booking and had to pay 907 Euros. This is such a con. Recently I had had similar experiences with Opodo where the price shoots up at the payment window having gone through the whole flight booking process. This is just so dishonest. Never again!!

Opodo charged 79.99€ without my consent for a Prime membership I never subscribed to. The “Cancel membership” button does not work, support ignores emails, and phone support never answers. After I requested a refund, Opodo even deleted my account, making it impossible to access any information. This looks like a clear scam and an unfair commercial practice. I had to file a chargeback with my bank and a complaint with the European Consumer Centre because Opodo refuses to help customers. Avoid Opodo – deceptive practices and appalling customer service Opodo swindled me into an expensive, unwanted subscription through misleading wording during checkout, a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I also used their so-called “price freeze” feature, which boldly promises to “freeze your price for three days” and reassures you “don’t worry if the price goes up, we’ve got you covered.” In reality, this is a lie. When I returned to complete my booking, the price jumped at the final payment screen. After four exhausting rounds with their truly incompetent customer service team, they eventually admitted that price freezes don’t actually guarantee the original price. In other words, they fully acknowledged that their marketing is false and misleading. So there you have it; Oporto in a nutshell: deception, denial, and dreadful service. A company built on lies. Avoid them at all costs.

I got a-30 days Opodo primevtrial in July 2023 and cancelled it 2 days later. Opodo debited in August 2023.I failed to get my money back despite my repeated requests. Opodo debited my account again in August 2024 and 2025 despite my repeated cancellations requests.I got a letter in Spanish in August 2025 then in English,at my request, to tell me that my subscription will be cancelled in August 2026 ! I have all my emails with Opodo. I would not advice any British to get involved with Opodo.

I purchased a ticket from Apodo in 2023, and at that time, I was led to believe that the Prime membership was optional. After requesting its removal, they confirmed it was canceled. However, in the following years, they automatically renewed the Prime membership without my consent and charged me £99 each year. Although the ticket initially seemed cheaper, the automatic renewals ended up costing me far more over time. Despite numerous calls and emails, they refused to refund these charges. This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels deceptive. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious with Apodo, as the initial savings can quickly turn into unexpected and recurring costs."

Besides the Prime membership scam, Opodo is now scamming customers by changing their ticket classes. I booked a business class ticket for approximately £94, which was about £3 cheaper than other apps (around £97). However, instead of receiving the business class ticket I paid for, they issued me an economy class ticket, even though the economy fare is clearly £64. I contacted customer service and submitted a complaint form with all the supporting evidence, but their response stated that the booking could not be changed and no refund would be issued. In the end, my attempt to save £3 ended up costing me £30. Avoid this company at all costs, they scam customers by changing ticket classes.

Thsi company has made a businness of scamming people. Please do your research online before being tempted by their offers. For aexample, if they book the flight with th wrong name they take no accountability and when you cancel they do not give the full refund from the airlines but they withhold about 100 even thought it was their mistake to begin with. Thenyo have spend hours delaing with credit card company and consumer protection autority to get your money back. My advice if you have already being scammed is to not give up and pursue any legal route to meke them accountable.

Your company failure to issue refund for a non hire. Due to incorrectly given Information. Then to be told about terms and conditions within two hours of making booking that nothing could be done. This is not a business that has any customer service and only thinks of profits for a service not given

Avoid Opodo at all costs. They automatically charge membership fees without any notice, and do it repeatedly. Their emails and customer service are completely useless — you simply can’t reach them. A huge scam. If you want to cancel your membership, they don’t even give you the option to do so or to remove your card details from their system. Horrible!

A disgusting and deceitful company. They give you a voucher, which means their partner won't serve you. You won't get any customer service after that. To get your money back, you'll most likely have to go to court.

I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with Opodo. When booking a flight, they force you into their so-called “Prime free trial”, which sounds harmless — but canceling it is nearly impossible. There’s no visible button or option anywhere in the account to cancel, and no one ever replies to emails requesting cancellation. After the trial, they simply charge your card without warning — in my case, 120 €! This is absolutely ridiculous and feels like a deliberate scam tactic to trap customers. I will not use Opodo again and I strongly warn everyone to avoid this company at all costs. They make canceling intentionally difficult and ignore all support requests. Opodo: I want my money refunded immediately (Account with booking reference 23823439265). Until then, I’ll keep sharing my experience so others don’t get tricked the same way.

worst experience, I do not recommend dealing with them at all. They will deduct (steal from your account) the membership fee of 90 euros from your account and they will not inform you about it. If you complain, they will send you a voucher (credit), which if you use to buy tickets from them (OPODO), the ticket will be even more expensive than the same ticket from other companies. Avoid buying anything through them!!!

I bought hotel and flight ticket from opodo and it showed my much less price as compared to other websites. When i was about to pau, it gave me option to opt for 14 days free trial and pay less which i clicked on. I got confirmation that i am on free trial . Later in the evening, i was charged for opodo prime membership . When i caleld them, they refused to refund the money and said that i was not eligible for free trial . The flight ending up costing me more than i would have paid anyways and i felt so cheated.
