“Opodo is a scam! One of my flights was cancelled and they did nothing to offer an alternative flight. I had to rebook with my own money. When i contacted the airline, the said they will refund me as it was their fault the flight was cancelled. The airline said the refunded Opodo the money for my flight and Opodo refuses to refund me saying some excuse that the costs to reimburse me is greater than the flight??? what the heck?? DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! They also charged me a premium fee and deducted 64, 99 pound from my account without my consent!”

“I paid the tickets, then I received message that they cannot confirm, but the money was paid already. So I had to purschse directly from the Aircompany the tickets, pay them again!! There has been 2 weeks and I have not got back my money! OPODO is using my money withought paying me any interest! God knows from how many people they charged and use their money. Probably banks are not giving them loand so theu use private people found and tell stories that refund takes 5-7 days!! OPODO is A SCAAAAMM!”

“OPODO IS A SCAM IN MY OPINION OPODO IS A SCAM IN MY OPINION!!! you might think that you're getting a cheap flight, but they will automatically sign you up for an OPODO Prime subscription that will cost you £69.99 per year. And be careful, because its on an auto-renew, so unless you cancel OPODO Prime, you'll be billed again next year. Even cancelling the subscription is difficult Date of experience: 12 April 2024”

“My flight was cancelled 5 hours before the flight by Wizz air , opado who booked the flight for me not only did nothing to find an alternative flight , but did not accept any responsibility to resolve the issue and was just referring me to contact airlines , the 2nd flight to return had to be cancelled and Opodo again just informed me it was non-refundable and did not help at all it’s a terrible travel agent who does not feel any responsibility towards customers once they receive the payment”

“FRAUDULENT COMPANY… I signed up for the free trial through the app, and booked a holiday, which then they sent two confirmation emails confirming the start of the free trial and that i wont get charged before 30 days unless i cancel, and that the cost of the prime membership was £0… Then the next day i was surprised to see £89.99 charge on my bank account, so i called them up and they refused to acknowledge the fact that it was a mistake… They refusing to give me my money back…. They tell you that opodo does checks and found repeat free trial which is not true… they keep blaming you for not reading “terms & conditions”… They do their checks after you have booked your holiday and spent £1000s, and then tell you we cantered refund if we complain…. I have been waiting for a customer service manager to contact me after i raised an escalation and was promised a call within 72hrs… SCAMMERS Full-on entrapment tactics to charge you more money….”

“Our flight was late and our carhire was cancelled. We paid in full up front. Opodo is acting fraudulently by taking payment without providing the service. They are refusing to refund and the customer service is very aggressive. Avoid this company.”

“AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Cancelled subscription 3 months prior to renewal by phone. Customer service kept informing us of all the benefits. After 60 minutes on the phone, insisting we wanted to cancel. They agreed. Also cancelled subscription via their website. In June they took a renewal payment (even though cancelled subscription!) Have now spent over 5 hours (over the course of 6 phone calls) attempting to get a refund and been told every time to wait 72 hours and I should receive refund. Nothing received! Worst customer service, terrible customer care, highly advise anyone NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY!”

“Opodo is saving card details and putting in subscription themself. I was so shocked that they put on subscription. I called and cancelled but still doubt they might take money from the account. Ridiculous customer service , no flexibility options, service agent with poor communication and understanding skills explaining bla bla but literally doing nothing. Big scammers They should be banned from UK . Airlines should stop giving them access to sell tickets”

“I have been waiting for a refund for 10 months now. NOTHING from Opodo. Same story on their chat support...they keep passing me from one to another agent saying wait 72 hours... for almost 10 months now! DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY!”

“We took the "Cancel for Any Reason Guarantee", and after we canceled because of strikes, we tried to claim the reimbursement from OPODO. It was a nightmare, after several days of trying to reach them we finally gave up. Basically this is how these scammers take your money, their strategy is simple: the entangle you in useless chat discussions, emails and calls with Indian call centers who purposefully follow predetermined scripts to make you lose time and energy. I find it unbelievable that OPODO is allowed to operate in the EU.”

“I still haven't heard a thing from Opodo regarding my refund. It's been 2 months now. I'm guessing no updates, no body is doing anything. I know what's going to happen, when my cancelled flight date comes around, Egyptair and Opodo are going to say it's a no show. Absolutely ridiculous. And i am so terribly disappointed. I feel I am getting nowhere and it just makes me frustrated writing emails all the time. Well they've lost a customer who frequently uses Opodo and Egyptair. I've never had an issue until now and I personally feel extremely disappointed. DO NOT USE OPODO”

“I bought a round trip flights from Opodo. I saw that in 30 days they will charge me for the Prime membership which I forgot to chancel in advance so I say it's fair that they charged me for it. However, during check-in it appeared that my outbound booking did not include checked-in luggage. I called Opodo and they ensured me that I have checked-in luggage and if I am to pay something at the airport I should get a receipt and claim it to them (this took about 40 mins). I was charged 30 EUR for the luggage and took a receipt. After another 40 mins on the phone I was able to submit the receipt for a refund. I was supposed to be reimbursed in 10 working days which did not happen. I spent another 45 mins with them trying to get my money as it is just a matter of being accurate and actually providing a service and not just scam people and hide it behind a bad service. Month and a half later I am not refunded. Decided that I don't want to wait until my membership is to expire as I don't want have anything to do with Opodo and I don't want to forget to cancel it on time. So I called them to cancel and they started suggesting me 30 EUR to be paid on my account and a 90 EUR voucher to use with them. I rejected and insisted on canceling. They said they cancelled it, but I don't really believe it. I also deleted my account in the app. I hope I do not get charged again then the membership is to be renewed. Do not trust Opodo!”

“What a joke this silly broker is. After clicking confirm and entering my credit card information a pop up showed up telling me my flight is now 80EUR more expensive. I just went to a different broker and paid the original price. I will now forever remember to stay clear of these jokers.”

“I booked flight tickets in February from Opodo with their 30 days free membership trial. When I contacted them to cancel my trial, they offered me a lucrative deal of two vouchers, one towards the flight booking and another towards flight plus hotel booking. I became member and paid the fees. However I never received those vouchers. I keep on calling them, I’ve made numerous calls ( more than 10 times) since march. I’ve never received those vouchers. Every time I call them, operator sitting in some foreign land apologies and ask me to wait another 24-48 hours. I feel sorry for those employees. I’ve not yet received vouchers. I also asked to speak to manager and they said he would call me back within 24 hours but never received a call. What a waste of time.”

“Opodo insnared me in a fine print Ts&Cs operation called Prime Membership costing £89.90 after booking flights. The membership charge was sent to my credit card company without authorisation 30 days after the free membership expired. The T&Cs were in very fine print and I ended up paying over the odds for a flight booking. My credit company contacted me to say that the payment was fraudulent but subsequently I was unable to dispute it as Opodo claimed I had agreed to their terms. Call me naive but Opodo is a company operating in bad faith. I can't imagine may customer have anything to gain from the 'membership' they offer. The staff at Opodo were very polite..”

“don't buy flights on this site by any chance, last year I took a flight to Germany and today I took 100 e only because I bought one ticket and they automatically stole my money and now they won't give it back, so be careful and don't buy!!”
