“Before my surgery I had very poor vision both for distance and reading. I wore hard contact lenses for 35 years and then went over to glasses when it became too difficult to read and see distance. I never liked wearing glasses and so I tried soft contact lenses that could cope with my astigmatism and prescription. These were OK but not perfect. I then read about refractive lens replacement and decided it was exactly what I wanted. I am over the moon with the results and would recommend it to anyone in similar circumstances.”

“I won't lie, the procedure itself isn't fun, but it definitely does not hurt and the 24 hours afterwards are uncomfortable but that is all. I am truly amazed at the outcome, and it is such a freedom not having to wear glasses or contacts - after 27 years! Thanks very much.”

“I was always a little worried about having laser surgery due to my profession as a digital modeller for the Automotive industry. The staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable throughout my procedure and the staff during the follow up appointments have been outstanding.”

“Put at ease on the day by the staff and strangely reassured by the fact that they were all wearing scrubs. Team were amazing - put me at ease as I was slightly nervous about the anaesthetic eye drops as I take a lot of local to feel the effect when I have had it before. Procedure was straight forward and strangely realxing, pain afterwards was worse than expected and I think it would be advisable to tell people to take painkillers ahead of treatment so that they are already taking effect as soon as you are out - I didnt take mone til I got home 30 mins later and then it took 30 mins for them to work so I had a very uncomfortable hour. All said though I would not hesitate to do it all again if I had to ... and would encourage all of my friends and colleagues to do it too!”

“excellent sevice from start to finish. i struggled with contacts and glassess for years which where uncomfortable and gave me headaches.since having treatment i have had a new lease of life in sight and take it as second nature now. should have done years ago and it will pay financially through time.”

“Scared to start with, thinking of all that could go wrong, but after things were explained by Mr Carr I felt confident in going ahead with surgery. It was all so quick, and over before i knew it. There was slight discomfort after suregry but that went with pain killers. With all that I would have no difficult in do it again or recommending this to friends and family. Its made my life so much easier, being able to see things from across the room. and details of things that were blurred for so long. Walking in the rain without wiping my glasses, or walking into a room from the cold and being able to see. my breathing is so much better as well because there is nothing pressing on my nose.”

“I have had a great experience with Optical express. I had so much trouble with my eyesight in the past and when I had my little boy, my eyesight was more important than ever. Since getting the surgery, I can tend to my son in the night with no problems and I don't need to remember my glasses or contact lenses when I'm driving. The surgery was quick and relatively painless and I was able to see better alomst immediately afterwards!”
