“I had the surgery as a 60th birthday present to myself. Having been very short sighted since my teens it is a revelation to be able to see properly again. Having to wear reading glasses for close up work has been a small price to pay.”

“I was amazed after having my treatment, how quickly my vision had iproved. The staff were so good and helpfull, and they explained to me step by step of what would happen. My after care treatment has been second to none. I have to say the care and attention has been excellent, from everyone at optical express. My only regret is why i didnt do this when i turned eighteen. Now everyone i meet asks how i got on i say you should go for it its a great job.”

“The surgery itself was quick and easy with no pain or discomfort. The staff were very pleasant and provided a great deal of care during and after my surgery. I am so pleased with the results, having the surgery has made a great difference to my life and I would recommend Optical Express to anyone.”

“Having laser surgery has made my daily life so much easier - I no longer have to keep track of whether I have spare lenses with me wherever I go. Although I am still trying to get used to not reaching for my glasses as soon as I wake up! The process of consultations and procedure were so quick and easy, I would recommend it to anyone.”

“make sure you get a surgeon who not only has good statistics (don't be shy to ask for this information) but who you feel personally comfortable with. this will make the surgery itself far less stressful - at least it did in my experience. i had LASIK, the most accurate and most expensive one. the surgery itself was pretty weird but the surgeon - Manick Patel, who I would totally recommend- and nurses helped by talking me through it, including counting down to the end of certain stages of the procedure. it really helped to know how long was left. after the surgery i felt very faint and shaky - lots of hot sweet tea helped. make sure you eat properly before your surgery! even if you are nervous- it will stand you in good stead afterwards. after the anaesthetic wore off, i was in quite strong discomfort - not pain exactly, but discomfort, too much to sleep really -for 4-6 hours - then it was gone. you will need someone there to look after you, for sure. i felt pretty fragile for the first few weeks of recovery, especially in crowded tubes etc, but my vision was pretty good straight away. my right eye is slightly less than perfect, but may improve with healing. I am def. glad i have done it, even at £3.5k.”

“I cannot believe how easy the laser surgery was. Despite initial sqeamishness over having something done to my eyes, friends who had it done convinced me I should go for it. I am really glad I did. Fab eye surgeon and after just 1-2 hours of discomfort (teary) eyes after surgery I have had no other problems at all (just a little dryness for 1-2 months after, for which I had drops and gel provided, which really helped). Now I have completely normal if not better eyesight than before and no longer have to worry about eyes at all. Brilliant! Anyone considering this should definitely go for it!”

“I always wanted laser treament doing for years but never took the 1st steps(which were very easy) as soon as i had the free app and was told that i would be good for me i coulden't wait for it to be don.........got it done and it was so easy,no pain or anything. 1 month on and i feel fantastic,it has to be the best decision iv ever made. It's brought my condivandace right up. People get it done!!! And thankyou to everyone who's helped throught out”

“Wish I had done it sooner, you hear it all the time but it really is life changing. I couldn't wear contacts so relied on glasses everyday. This has changed absolutely everything I do, I have more confidence, and after 4 weeks I have better than 20:20 vision! Amazing!”

“The surgery changed my life completely. I can do everything more freely,all activities are easier, I don't have to think about the glasses or that I can't see something. Finally, I will go for a diving course. I am never looking back and don't regret the decision, maybe the fact that I haven't done it earlier. I would recommend laser eye surgery to everyone. Thank you.”
