Terrible company, bad connections gave 2 months to sort it out. Still not sorted so I had to leave as I needed a reliable service that they said they were but clearly were not. They wanted to charge me £420.00 to leave. I left and told them they must not take any money from my account as this would be theft as I had not given them permission to do that. They took it without my permission and I have made a complaint to OFCOM. Please do not trust this company. Customer service is extremely poor, it takes about 30 minutes each time you need to speak to someone and when you do they answer the advice is questionable to say the least. The connection was poor and sometimes non existent. When I changed to another provider, I had no issues and have not needed to contact them at all since the change over. I connected with the company via live chat, Telephone and email. None of these options were efficient. The only reason I gave one star is that there is no option for 0 stars.

The broadband and price is ok, my problem is, I'm a pensioner and dont get my pension till the 13th of the month, they insist on taking it on the 1st of the month when there is no money in the account, despite numourous calls from me requesting they take it on the 13th, they refuse to do this. So on this basis alone I'm cancelling the broadband, I'd sooner pay a bit more and they take the payment when my pension goes in the bank.

Don't pick Origin Broadband go with one that is with the Ombudsman Service 'voluntary code of practice' these have minimum service promises. Origin has a very slow connection, paying gor 36Mbps getting brlow 9 Mbps, ghey promised it would be suitable gor home working. They promised they could fix it waiting for engineer took us out of the two week cooling off, should have csncelled it then instead of waiting for engineer. Now stuck with contract they say we just have to keep paying until contract ends even if we change supplier to a fttp supplier. I have to go to office during covid lockdown to work because of this.

My advise go with an internet service supplier that has signed up to the 'voluntary' code of practice. Read Origin Broadbands terms and conditions! There is little to no commitment to the customer. To summarise it says- Pay your bill or you will be passed on to a debt recovery agency and your credit score will be affedted. No service, pay, poor service pay, no contact with Origin pay. It reads like a script from Goodfellas mafia movie! If your a new customer do not be fobbed of with "we'll get back to you or we need to send out an engineer", as they will take you out of the cooling off period and the T&Cs will apply, cancel the contract immediately!

Worst internet provider and worst customer service! Do yourself a favour and go with another internet provider. Internet didn't work for 2 months, and they charged me $300 to cancel. Complaints go nowhere. Waste of time and money.

I switched to the broadband which took 2 months to go live. Customer service approach was bad. I was with the Origin from End of July to November and those days were the dark moment of my live. 5 whole days without signal and always having poor service. Cancellation fee is horrendous. Not a good service at all. One major switch i regretted on a daily basis.

Horrible before it even was connected. Promised 100mbps and I get an average of 12mbps. My whole family is upset and disappointed. Zoom calls drop out and apps on my phone don't load. It is horrible. Do not go with Origin in Australia. And they want a $300 exit fee!!

I was sold origin on the understanding it would match or better bt Internet....it doesn't nowhere near, so don't waste your hard earned money, I have done 2 reviews a katey lady has eventually taken the case....hopeless..... don't waste your money, the service drops, and is slow, don't waste your money, the next is cut and paste of last email to katey. Hi Katey,  Thanks for getting in touch, its a step forward in the right direction hopefully! OK, I have 2 phone lines at my property, 1 in the annex and 1 in the house. The annex is still running BT Internet, and the house is running Origin. They both use the same cable from the exchange to our house, then the cable splits, to both property's. As Origin WiFi is so abysmal I have connected BT boosters to the annex Bt router, I am getting an average of 40gb from this at approx 20m from annex.  if I stand next to the Origin router with the same devices then I'm lucky to average at 10gb and constant drops, which is awesome when trying to watch TV programmes. If it is true that all calls are recorded then if one was to go through the recorded transcripts of the sales person whom sold me Origin, it was clear that I was told Origin will beat or better BT! oh! how wrong!. I have had a chat with the tech team and tried different channels as suggested, and I have also checked the gb speed hard wired which is great, but this is 2020, everything is WiFi, phones, fridge, printer, TV, laptops, tumble dryer, etc, etc, So I would just like what I was promised, nothing less! I was told I have the best you have, which I asked for, so, does this mean origin are not that great?? now if this is the case then fine, end my contract and let me go, but I'm not prepared to pay £400 odd pounds to leave the contract, when you are not supplying what your sales person has promised. Its a bloody pain, but I can do reviews every week or so, I would rather not! I would like whats promised or let me go no strings attached.

Beware of Origin Broadband. An absolute catastrophe of an internet provider. Beware of Origin Broadband. An absolute catastrophe of an internet provider. Key points: - Advertised speeds was totally false and unattainable. - Internet connection dropped out all the time. (2x a day or more) - Call centre support is all outsourced to overseas - Call centre failed to provide adequate fixes despite a 2 hour testing which was emailed to provider for no follow-up. - After I switched company, my problems were solved - Origin 'supposedly' quoted me for a 24 month contract, and charged a $300 fee for cancellation. Although my quote has no mention of this. - After switching to a different provider, all my internet problems were fixed. Full review: After moving into a new home and joining Origin for electricity and gas, we were offered an internet plan bundle at $50. Subsequently, when accepting the offer and joining afterwards - they said that they could only give it to us at $80 as prices had increased in october. On the first day of the service, my router was configured incorrectly and unable to connect to the internet. Tech support later figured out that the default settings on the router were incorrect. That wasted an entire day of work. In the following week, we experienced frequent dropouts and constant problems with the internet. I was frequently interrupted at laggy VC meetings and common streaming services were totally unusable. My partner and I decided to switch the internet to a new provider, which subsequently fixed all our problems on a plan that was virtually identical. Origin then told us we need to pay a $300 cancellation fee, as the quote was for a 24 month internet service. Despite this, the original email we were quoted for had no mention of this, and especially was provided to us at a lower price ($50). What an absolute joke of a broadband company. Stay away from Origin Broadband.
