This could be the Number 1 internet provider from HELL. They will promise not to disrupt your internet connection but I am stuck without the internet for almost a week. Even worse their technical staff lied to me and claimed the modem was locked. When I terminate further involvement with them, they sent me an Email demanding I pay any outstanding charges! They do not care about the several hours I spent trying to fix the problem and the cost.

The Worst Service provider. I am without internet for almost 3 months and they dont care. My Internet is down since June and the earliest appointment they gave me was 3rd of August which they did not turn up. They dont even have the courtesy to let us know that it has reschedule. I only got to know when I rang on the day when they did not turn up after taking the day off from work to attend the technician. They rescheduled the appintment on 23rd of September. How can they do this during this time when internet is the source of income when many of us are working from home.

I am existing Origin Energy customer for their electricity and gas and was sold to bundle my NBN Broadband and get a $10 discount from what I was currently paying with my NBN current provider. After receiving assurance from their Sales team they can also port my home phone number accross using my existing modem router supplied by my current provider and that Origin uses the Optus NBN network I decided to proceed with their offer. However during the setup of their NBN broadband connection with their Tech Support the technician advised they were unable to port across my home phone number and to solve the issue i would have to buy a new modem router costing $120 or an adapter for $60. I asked them why can't you supply one for free like other providers so and then they said sorry that's not our policy! What a f@#$'n waste of time. So basically they're saving not having to supply a modem router hence they are able to offer a $10 discount for their monthly bundle plan for 12months and make the customer pay for the difference for the cost of a new modem router instead. Talk about misleading the customer. That's like buying a car but you have to pay extra for the wheels if you want to drive it! Lol what a major rip off! Avoid Origin Broadband, the headache, the disappointment and not having any Internet for a day trying to reconnect back to your previous provider!

Existing Origin utility customer and was offered to bundle my NBN with them saving $10 mth compared to my current NBN 50 plan with TPG. I went ahead with the assurance that they can also port my home phone number accross using my existing modem router I received from TPG. The day I try to connect with their tech support they advise me they can't port across my home number and to do so I have to spend $120 or more and buy my own modem router or buy an adapter for $60 apparently to port my home phone number accross, what a bloody inconvenience and waste of time!! So they're pretty much saving the cost of sending you their own modem router and were reluctant to send me one for free to resolve the issue like all other providers would do! So in the end there was no benefit or savings and I didn't go ahead as they couldn't deliver on their promises. And adding to my disappointment I was inconvenienced at the same time with no internet trying to reconnect back to TPG who I had no issues in the first instance with their NBN50 no lock in contract plan I was on. I was just hoping to save on the monthly fee. So don't waste your time with Origin NBN as the $10 savings doesn't apply if you have to purchase your own modem router to port across your bloody home number! Their sales people didn't informed me of the potential issues just to get the sale and probably didn't care about wasting my time or having a potential bad customer experience!

Complete rip off. When you sign up, service will never commence. You will be put on hold with customer service from Manila for hours. Stay clear of this company. Complaints department are completely hopeless and threatening. Ombudsman guys need to sort out this doggy provider for sales team luring vulnerable customers. STAY AWAY from this company

Bought the basic package and we had our WiFi drop out and stop working nearly every week of our 12 month contract. Had to call monthly just to get it to work, and as two full time students, this was not what we needed. No refund was offered to us. Would not recommend to anyone.

Please, please do not use this company. I have been out of Internet service for 10 days now with no resolution to my complaint!!! I have been told that my contract has 9 months to run and I would have to pay them over £300 if I want to switch provider. I have spent money on phone calls and get no updates from them. I do not usually write reviews but this company has made my blood boil. Please avoid!!!

I moved away from Origin Broadband because they wanted to charge a moving fee when other providers didn't have any connection fees. Problem was, the modem they sold me and informed me would work with ANY provider only works with Origin. This was after I specifically questioned if the modem would work with ANY provider and was informed that it would work. Matter has now been referred to the TIO for action.

Appalling service, don’t go with this company whatever you do, promised me 11Mbs never in 12 months went any high than 4Mbs and that was rare sometimes less than 1 Mbs. Finished the 12 month contract paid in full. Than I get letters from Debt recovery Agency wanting £287. Complained about the poor speeds said they would get back to me they never did. They should be paying me for not fulfilling the contract. You’ve been warned.

The worst experience. Connected for a day then nothing for a full day. Reactivated after spending more than an hour on the phone, disconnected every afternoon for the last 3 days. Origin claiming a request from another provider has resulted in me being deactivated on their end. They cannot tell me who/ how and don't seem to understand that I have not authorised or requested a change. How can they have me successfully connected 3 days if a transfer is on progress? No explanation. Not only have I been in lockdown in Melbourne, I have expressed the urgent need to be connected for work. They claim I will still be billed!! You must be joking. Do not choose Orgigin as your provider, do yourself a favour.

The worst ISP ever - frequent complete blackouts, unmotivated incompetent staff, nonexistent oblivious support. They were cheap and bad years ago, now they are priced as others but became even worse than ever. Never ever sign with them and god forbid for a contract upfront

Please do not ever use this company! Origin Broadband Australia are the dodgy 1980s Used Car Salesman of Australia: constantly promising a service and not only failing to deliver but being deceitful and dishonest in the process. I have now waited over 7 x days for a 30mins visit from an Origin Broadband Technician to install my Modem and connect WIFI. For 7 x days in a row they have promised then cancelled a Origin Broadband Technician visit to my apartment and instead delegated that Broadband Technician Visit to myself for over five hours of fault finding/trouble shooting: no nothing worked - then Origin Broadband tried to charge me a fee for services rendered! I now know a lot about Origin Broadband and if anyone wants an unqualified Technician to completely fail the process of installing your modem and wifi and make you pay a fee (ie Origin Broadband) then I’m your guy!
