About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

“Unfortunately took 1 month to recieve my items even though I am in Southern Qld. The tracking process would only tell me when my items arrived at the various stages of the delivery process but never when I could expect then arriving. Contact with Outback Equipment by phone and Couriers please by email did not give me expected arrival date. Service not acceptable .”

“Terrible, will not buy from them again. Took over 5 weeks to get my delivery sent via express post. Took them 10 days to even ship items in stock. They do not respond to emails, it was only after 4 weeks of waiting when I put in a complaint threating a charge back that someone got back to me. It's a shame, as they do have nice gear and prices, but I'll never buy from this website again.”

“I needed a shower exhaust fan quickly and phoned to make sure the item was in stock. Promised it was so I ordered and was given an AustralianPost shipping number. A month later and still no exhaust fan. Australia Post said it had never been picked up. Upon contact with the office I was given two different stories at different times. One that they over sold and another a computer glitch. Never a word to me the whole month. I ordered from another Qld competitor and received the item in a few days.”

“Initially my item was not ordered when paid for - so instead of immediate delivery, I then had to wait for supplier to resupply - some weeks later. This resulted in having to delay the rest of the work I had wanted to complete while in Brisbane- (ie getting a scooter carrier fitted) and caused me to have to do an additional trip to Brisbane to get the work done”

“You're a joke of a company you use a courier company that keeps the parcels in their warehouse for nearly 2 weeks then send it back to you. I will never buy from outback Equipment again .and recommend people not to as well as you never receive your orders. when I rang outback equipment all I got was yes the not the best of Courier companys”

“Ordered December 27th 2021, received 7th February 2022. Sent enquiries via their website asking where the item is and got completely ignored. I will not be buying from there again.”

“Got sent the wrong product and had to go to Coopers plains to swap it over, made more difficult as I had already paid extra for an urgent delivery which I didn’t receive urgently!”

“Unfortunately, I can’t really write a positive review because my package didn’t get delivered as expected when I ordered it. I paid for expedited delivery which said within two days so my package would be delivered before I left Australia. But my package didn’t arrive at that address until after I had left to return home to Canada. So my taps are still in Australia and I am now in Canada. Very disappointed as my daughter had the tap on my grandchild’s mud kitchen and it was fabulous. I wanted the taps to create the mud kitchen here in Canada for my grandkids and friends grandkids.”

“Staff were great - product not so much. Ordered one of the storage hatches with removable hinge. The box is actually two parts and was only held together with 4 rivets, one of which had already fallen out. The two parts actually don’t fit together all that well so had to fill all the gaps with silicone and extra rivets. If I wasn’t in such a tight spot and needed a hatch I would have sent it back. Very far from the “Italian mad quality” listed on the product description”

“Items were listed as in stock but still took over a month to leave the factory. The delivery finally arrived and my rock sliders were missing. They deemed this “a glitch in the system” and offered no compensation. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them but they aren’t returning my calls or emails. Shocking, will never use again or recommend to anyone.”

“I did not buy anything from Outback Equipment. They got my email address from Google and asked me to write a review of their website. Well, I don't even know what the website looks like! In the meantime, I wanted to do a nice review of a motel we stayed in but the motel would not allow it!”
