I first reported car problems (rack/pinion and tie rod) on 12/21/2022. They (ox car care) finally inspected it 12/29/2022. Today is 1/2/2023 and no response from ox car care. Meanwhile they’ve deducted my monthly payment.
Ox car care is the worse after market car warranty company as far as customer service, and their claims process.
Toco and protect My Car provide better customer service and process claims in 48 hours or less.
I hate ox car care and recommend all my fellow veterans, military, reservists, coast guard, and all first responders do not buy an ox car care policy/plan or to cancel existing plan for one previously mentioned.
As a disabled veteran I have shouldn’t have to choose between driving my car in its poor condition to my va Dr appointment or rescheduling it. As a new patient in the are I’m fortunate to get an appointment so soon, otherwise I had to wait until march. I don’t have the money to pay for transportation/ambulance to dr appointment. My having had triple bypass heart surgery, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, kidney disorder, and several allergies makes my car vital to my maintaining my health. The delay in the repair of my vehicle due to the claims process of ox car care is endangering my health.
If I could have it my way they would pay for repairs, refund my monies, and I would go to a different warranty company.

“The 49 down payment is to help refine the training of bogus information and lies about the policy. Total scam. Don't buy this and dont pay for training. Canceling is a nightmare full of last minute harassment.”
“I purchased a car sometime ago I wanted to get the ox auto extended warranty they told me was $50 to start in $199 a month which was fine three months Later it turns out I needed a new radiator and a couple of other things which were definitely under where in tear the company it was fixing my car reached out to them with my numbers and they refused to fix everything I ended up spending $5400 Ox offered nothing Not even adequate reason as to why they weren’t going to cover those things that needed to get repaired I spent $650 paying ask for something that they could never return on totally a scam”

“They signed me up for the diamond package saying that's what I needed for my 14 Escape. Paid my initial fee and then my next month, but the next month there was an issue. They didn't get their money so they cancelled my account, without any notice or warning of any kind. Now they refuse to refund my money because they cancelled me!!!!! They are quick to sign you up and take advantage of seniors and disabled vets like myself. If you don't like it or want your money back you have to hire an attorney and pay a lot more just to get your money back. I suppose it's better to support a local attorney than Oxcarcare.”
“My BMW broke down on me December 3rd 2022. I called Ox and let them know what happened. I had the car towed to BMW Ontario. The estimate given was a lot. So I had the car towed to a private shop that services BMW and Mercedes. I let Ox know that the car had been moved to another location where the estimate was very reasonable. I was told to send in the invoice AFTER I paid first and I would be reimbursed 50% .
After I paid the full amount and got the car home, I got an email denying my claim. I am the original owner of my BMW; I’ve had it for the past 16 years! I needed a break for the repair cost. So I called claims …
Hugh Hinds, Shawn and Christian laughed at me as they transferred my calls between themselves while telling me that the underwriting Dept decided my fate on the claim…Believe me, there is a place in hell for people that do this to senior citizens. We need to find Kathy Mc Donald the CEO and drag her there as well.
I’m glad my Beamer is fixed but I don’t appreciate the hell I was out thru with Ox the ass! They lied to me, took my money and laughed at me! I’ve never felt so ripped off in all my life! May they pay deeply!”

“Signed up with this company 11/07/22, went back to cancel after finding out that they don't give you free oil changes or tire rotations and whatever else lies they tell you in the commercials, it was 4 days later when I cancelled, they are supposed to give you a 30 day money back guarantee, it's 12/19/22, I can't get through on the phone, and no one is returning my calls, so I will be contacting the attorney general to see what can be done about this company and their practices of ripping people off, so please don't waste your time with these people it's a scam, they won't refund your money, stay far far away it's all a lie, tried car shield they are no better”
“I have platinum to get % off oil change. They kept saying they was working on my claim. They never sent mechanic authorization. I found out they never paid claim from last oil change. You can never get someone nor get a straight answer. They quick to take your money but not assist”
“I purchased two contracts for two separate vehicles, they are falsely advertising covered they declined to pay and cover the repairs. My contracts were canceled out ox car Care never refunded my money and kept billing me for canceled contracts and which were charged to my credit cards I had to cancel my credit cards and get new ones just to get the reoccurring charges to stop. Ox car Care where the ones that canceled my contract then they turn around and say that I needed to send them papers a cancellation which I did they said they got those papers and I would be getting my refund now they said they don't have the cancellation forms and they're refusing to refund my money.
This is a very poorly ran organization set out to rip off senior citizens and disabled veterans. Speaking with them on the 16th of December still getting the runaround I'm being told I have to send in another letter of cancellation to get my money back.
BE WARNED OX CAR CARE DOES NOT PAY FOR REPAIRS ON YOUR VEHICLE THEY WILL FIND A LOOPHOLE TO SAY THAT SAID REPAIRS ARE NOT COVERED THEY WILL CONTINUE HAVING YOU BILLED AND AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS WITHDRAWN, CANCEL YOUR PAYMENT METHOD AND GET NEW CARDS TAKE THEM TO COURT AS I'M DOING. I signed up with OX Care and they are dreadful and fraudulent. They would not pay any claims that were supposedly covered by them. My mechanic and I kept trying to get them to pay for some of the work done on my car for months. I would call to talk to a customer service rep to be told that I need to email them. To go on their website and even try to look up your claim is non-existent. I have paid them a lot of money each year and I got ZERO in return but they certainly got thousands from me for not doing or covering anything. The customer service reps are robotic and send you to a supervisor who then disputes the claim because the mechanic replaced a part with a brand name they do not cover...WHAT??
FRAUDULENT business practices please save yourself time, energy and money”

“I worked for this company a few years ago, and they my literally tell you to lie to the customers when they answer the phone. I was paid $12 dollars an hour, and a few dollars commission for each phone call I transferred to a salesperson. But if you call in sick, or a few minutes late, they’d take the commission back that you actually earned. It was the biggest joke of a job that I ever had. The so called owner, Kathy McDonald spent more time on the match.com date site looking for men, then she did monitoring the complaints from customers. She’s a joke, and it’s amazing that this company is allowed to do what they do.”
“So this is the second and last review on this company. I have a blown engine along with other work that needs to be done, it took weeks for them to send an inspector. Then it took over all most 2 weeks to get in contact with the claims department to find out the delay they said they were going to do something finally. After 2 more weeks I get another call from the mechanic and he said that he was told they were not going to fix the car because my title was salvaged. I don't know where they got this info from but the car only had 1 driver before me and the title was never salvaged. Regardless I don't know what that has to do with anything they just didn't want to fix the car. People save your money you will get Ripped Off.”
“Ox car care has the worst claims department, I have been trying to contact the claims department for almost a month but to no avail. I've left numerous messages and have not received one return call. Also, they sent out an adjuster to inspect the vehicle then ten day later they denied the my claim. Neither customer nor the claims ever answered their phone. I had to call the number I called to purchase the extended warranty in order to speak to someone.”

“Working for a dealership that does not sell this warranty does not help matters. We have been reaching out to them for over 70 days now. The poor client has also been. Neither one of us are getting through and when we do they treat us and the client like idiots. I feel bad for the client they approved so much for his repair then expect him to pay to have the part shipped to our store. I wish the client would have done some research before purchasing this waste of money and paper. You guys are good at collecting but that is where it stops.
