“I also joined ox care, the sales person agreed to allow half down and remaining to be paid via debit card one time use, the memo is clear if u do not elect an option, option 3 states if u did not elect the first two then monthly payments will be the your choice. Called several times told 5-7 days, week three already, stay away from this company.”
“I joined they took my money I cancelled the next day 6/21 and they said they would credit my account. It is now 8/21 and I have not seen a credit to my account I’ve called and I can’t get a person to talk too. Iv left messages no return this is the biggest scam that I’ve Ever seen. Buyer beware they just want your money and you will never be able to reach them”
“The representative lied about warranty coverage, monthly pricing, false advertising. There comprise was a month free coverage. A month free coverage does not negate the lack of coverage for and extended warranty.
The company is a scam operation that does not provide any services other than taking your money. Please return my money and make me happy.”
“Well this company is a joke. First off they said that the company that I go thru doesn't pay claims...😆 That's calling the kettle black, pushy sells person too. LIES!!!”
“I would never, ever, buy anything from a company that begins their pitch with a lie. In this case they said that they were responding to my request for a quote. None of my vehicles would every be sold a warranty because of their age and I certainly did request a quote.”
“Actually, I should give this company a 5 for tenacity. I bought this 5 year gilt-edged warranty. last night. This morning I awoke with buyer's remorse, realizing that I could afford to spend this money right now. I called their 24 hour service and God help me, I've never been exposed to such high-powered efforts to stop me from doing this. They very cleverly tell you when you
call the number you've been given, that someone from that department will have to call you back. By 2 PM, still no call, so I call them back and ask them for the cancellation dept. After they put you on hold for some time, you get the most persistent keep you at all cost, sales person you'll ever encounter. Boy, she can sell. I wound up losing my temper and shouting (perhaps because I seemed to be dealing with a deaf person). I am now told that they are cancelling me but it will take 5 to 7 business days to get my refund.. I hope this is true! I am not here to say their warranty is either good or bad. Have no way of knowing. However, I will say, their sales people are formidable.”
“Got the policy in June of 2020. They asked for an estimated mileage. Told them and called back with the exact mileage about 3 days later. Now of January 2021 they said that I never gave them the mileage and I’d have to wait 1000 miles before I can get any service for them to pay. Canceled the policy right there and then when I provided paperwork proving my mileage in July of 2020 was close to the mileage I gave them in June 2020.”
“The don’t stand up to their contracts only refund money and cancel policies, read deep in the reviews, rarely pays out on claims! I’ve gave them everything they asked for even every oil change done on vehicle 29+ over 5 years worth and parts receipts I even have the voice recordings, been without my vehicle for month +, running around and submitted everything they ask for everything it’s always something different, I have it I’m a car guy!”
“Total scammers. Paid out $409. Canceled in two months, car was totalled. Refund, $18. Rude people who ping pong you between themselves and Palmer, the administration company. Filed a complaint with my Attorney General's office.”
“I would give a no-star review if it were possible. This company is predatory and contacted my 81-yr old mother to sell her their "insurance" product right after she had an accident last summer, leaving her with memory impairment and a concussion. She thought the call was about the insurance on her car, not surprisingly, and when the email came through from Ox Car Care that said it was EXTENDED WARRANTY INSURANCE, she emailed them back immediately, not once, but THREE times, telling them that she wanted to cancel the service, she had not intended to buy it. She never used the policy and thought that was that. But of course, it wasn't. Because Ox Car Care had her credit card number and kept billing her, month after month.
I got involved in her finances in the fall when she was diagnosed with post-concussive disorder and discovered the recurring charges to "paylink" and OxCarCare and with quite a bit of difficulty, tracked the culprit down. No one at this company was helpful. No one at Ox Car Care would make a refund or agree to help. We got the recurring payments stopped, but as for the missing $811.70? Well, we sent a demand letter for refund in January and got VISA involved. As of today, March 9, 2019, still not a peep from Ox Car Care to even acknowledge our complaint, our letter or to apologize for the inconvenience. I have now reached out for help to the Better Business Bureau to hopefully resolve the issue and warn others about what appears to be predatory sales practices on the elderly.
Please be warned when dealing with this company that they are not going to be easy to communicate with, especially if you have a problem.”
