“Use of the PC configurator is simple and informative. During the build process I was well informed on my PC's progress and delivery came quickly. I now have a PC built to my spec that satisfies in every way. Just a shame I rely on Microsoft Windows.”

“I went with PC Specialist for my new prebuilt because my dad had bought one a few years back and we were impressed with the quality and service provided. The configurator was great and I was able to navigate it easily and spec what I wanted. At the time of ordering RAM prices had started to shoot up due to huge AI/data centre demand so I was able to get the same spec prebuilt, tested and delivered (and with a warranty) as it would have cost me to buy the components individually and build it myself. Therefore it was a no-brainer. After placing the order I was kept updated on the progress of the build and even received a 3d picture of the machine which I thought was a nice touch. A few days later it was delivered neatly boxed and with no issues. The packaging arrangement meant that all the components were not placed under stress whilst in transit so there is minimal risk of anything coming loose or being damaged. Upon unboxing I took a look at everything and, as with my dad's PC previously, I was impressed at the professional quality. Cable management was tidy and everything appeared to have been done right. Having recently spent several days using the machine, tweaking Windows to my liking and then testing it out with some games I am very happy with my purchase. PC Specialist know what they're doing and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering going down the prebuilt route instead of building their own.”

“This was my third purchase from PC Specialist, my last was a high-end £5k desktop a couple of years back. As expected this has been faultless (Microsoft aside😡). I needed a decent replacement laptop so after so research and price comparison, PC Specialist were [still] head and shoulders above the competition. I ordered a Defiance Pro 16" with upgraded storage. The turnabout was extremely quick and it arrived in under a week. Comms of build progress were first rate and accurate. The real test of any company is dealing with issues. During the Windows update, which included build 25H2, the awful Bitlocker locked me out and refused to accept the key (a known MS issue). I sent a quick email to the tech support team as it was brand new and I didn't want to void any warranty. As expected, they advised a fresh install which, although a real pain, worked. All good until I discovered the fresh install had deleted some drivers like the touch pad. Finding these drivers on the website was not simple, but another email and the link duly sent had these reinstalled in no time. *Lesson is to run Windows update first before installing 3rd party software. The only thing I dislike is the cheap looking RGB flashing keyboard - it's so distracting and crass. I'm yet to discover if i can adjust to backlit only - another email i think 😉”

“Bought a new power laptop for development purposes. Uhm, the spec was up to the minute near enough, so it shouldn't be a surprise that it is absolutely excellent. This was my own customised version of the Recoil 18. During the build process there was one component mismatch due to my custom selections, so there was a minor upgrade to the RAM required, but this was inexpensive and was resolved quickly without adding much to the build time. Service was competent and polite, can't have any complaints. Machine is highly capable in all arenas, although it is loud fans wise, so I still wouldn't recommend any laptop for music making and production etc, this is still best served with a silencing tower configuration. Overall this is a fine machine.”
