“Great build - I initially thought the CPU fan mount was broken but it turned out to have been partially unclipped - either by vibration or snagging on the packing material. GPU support bracket was a bonus I hadn't expected. Initial setup was fine but Win11 update a mess as it seemed to want to 8 or 9 updates at once insisting that these had already been deferred. It stalled at 65% on latest major version. Restarting according to the minor update prompts didn't help. Chkdsk reported uncorrectable errors and DISM stalled at around 60%. Reset via recovery console (Shift - shutdown) ran but dumped me back to the login prompt without changes. I have been here before with Windows update so did a fresh install which ran and applied upgrades without problems. Sorry about the saga but I hope it helps someone downstream, Jim”

“We put together this laptop at the suggestion of my nephew, who is a gamer. The service and the price are really great. The computer is slightly slow on opening software, such as Adobe suite and the touch pad is not very reactive and the battery doesn't seem to last very long.”

“Easy to use website with good value. Good customer service and communication. When the PC arrived the packaging was good but unfortunately the PC wouldn't start at first but after checking all the cables inside and reseating the ram it seems to be working great now. When it wouldn't start PC specialists were really easy to contact and helped me check through the computer on the phone. Only downsides with my experience so far was sometimes the website wasn't the easiest to navigate and when picking parts it be great if the stats and info and images on the parts was easier to see but this is a nitpick. Other downside was the stress with the PC not starting after shipping (was more of the fault of the delivery company since the box arrived with the up arrow down!) but the customer service team were very helpful and after I got it to boot helped me test it and make sure all was good. The real good side is the Warranty and parts and service and overall alot easier then building it my self... plus the cable management inside is very well done. So far quite happy with my experience and would recommend.”

“From start to finish the whole process was easy to understand and smooth progress. excellent updates with job progress. Quality build quality components. All round good choice for the discerning high end pc user. The pc was delivered well within the time limits and in good shape. The only gripe I have is with the company who supply staff for the assisted installation service I chose as i am disabled and the computer is large and heavy. The guy turned up earlier then his appointment nevertheless i let him in as was keen to see the pc unpacked and installed...The guy turned up with no kit at all....not even a sonic screwdriver. I had to lend him a knife to unpack the boxes...when it came to installing the pc he plugged the hdmi lead into the motherboard socket and not the video card...so for quite a long time we had no working monior which was worrying...fed up with the guy continually turning the pc on and off to fix the the problem, i checked where it was plugged in myself..moving the lead to the video card hdmi socket we had working screen..hmmm..it didn't take much longer to realise this dude knew nothing about pc's and had to go...he left..not before trying to tell me the L-shaped piece of black plastic was meant to stand the pc on to keep it clear of the floor....righto...nutter, looking at the case instruction sheet turns out the piece screws to the inside of the case as a support. Do not use the assisted installation choice untill whoever employs these people makes sure they know the job...cheers. happy pcspecialists pc owner.”

“Delivery was faster than expected. Product looks really good and so far works well. Only down side is I have a buzzing when the gpu has more power to it which I believe is coilwhine. So I got unlucky there”

“Overall experience is excellent had updates on my order through out the process and I think it very good value for the money. But I did have some issues when I first got my laptop a few programs and games wouldn’t run and and few other issues. But after I did a fresh install of windows it all cleared and works great now.”

“DPD did not make delivery and did not tell PC specialist the truth. They said they tried to deliver but did not even turn up. The last two computers we have had have issues with. These issue are not solved quickly. Quality control, Service has gone down. What a shame they were a good Company.”

“Good build quality of pc. Website is clear and easy to navigate, delivery was on time and easy to track. Customer service could be approved, I asked for a fan to be moved and was told by email it was done (but it wasn’t so had to move it myself) and also I had to ask for a windows 11 activation key, it wasn’t given in the pack.”

“PC was built and I was kept up to date during the process. Arrived well packaged. Unfortunately the Thunderbolt card had been installed in the wrong slot on the motherboard so pci tunneling wasn’t working. I ended up wasting a few hours before realising this. It’s well documented which slot needs to be used. This was disappointing as everything else went well”

“The ordering process was easy with the ability to configure the system as I wanted it. Being critical, better and more detailed pictures of the case options would have helped a bit - it's supposed to be a PC case, not a disco, so pictures of how the various components fit within the case would be more helpful than arty shots of RGB lights. Pricing was cheaper than the competition and although I could have bought the bits cheaper, not having to build it myself and getting a warranty make the small premium worth while. The overall build quality is good enough as a custom build & the pictures provided after assembly was a nice touch, likewise the status updates gave me confidence that the order was progressing. Delivery was a smooth process with the PC arriving on time and well packed in a sturdy box with good all round protection. Again, a nice touch was the box containing all the spare parts, screws, blanking plates, etc from the case and parts - it's good to know that if I change the system in future that I have these. The less said about the Windows 11 set up process the better, but that's not down to PCS. Overall I'm very satisfied with the whole process and product.”

“My son specified a new pc at Christmas as my old one was very slow. I ordered and it was delivered as promised and set up went fine. However after 6 days it would not boot up. After talking with PCS help line a new hard drive was dispatched with I fitter without too many issues. Again the pc worked fine for about 8 days and then again would not boot up. Same screen and message as previous fault. Another hard drive was offered which I refused and insisted on the pc being replaced or my money returned. After much discussion the faulty pc was collected and eventually a replacement pc built to same spec was delivered albeit contained in a slightly different box. This has since worked perfectly and I hope this will continue to perform. Regrettably the experience was painful and took a lot of time to resolve which left me without a pc for several weeks. I lost count of the number of emails and phone calls!”

“I needed a new computer set up that was tailored towards my specific needs rather than having the new model that catered towards everything. PC Specialist was straight forward to use, went a bit over my head as a new user, the pricing was fair, and the delivery time was great. Arrived in excellent condition too, and I'm very pleased with my computer now. Great job!”
