Overall the coverage, process, iOS app, and experience filling claims have been good. There could be improvements to the timeliness of processing, often there is an excess of multiple days/weeks before issues are surfaced or payments are made.

It seems like the annual increases are really high. They start out reasonable but skyrocket with age. My Pom is 7 years old and I'm paying $90.75 per mo. I don't know if any bills will exceed what I'm paying.

easy to sign up - first time used it for his wellness exam - seemed to get a fair amount back - hasn't hit my bank account yet though. It would have been nice to get a message with the Explanation of benefits - I had to go into the app to see what was happening with it.

My overall experience so far has been very good. I have two young cats/kittens and have them both signed up with Pet Best. I had my first experience using the claims process recently; it was very easy to submit the info using either the website or the app and was reviewed & processed within a few weeks. My only minor complaint is a small nuance in how the copay % works, the copay % is taken into account not just after meeting your annual deductible but also before meeting it (ie if you pay $500 towards approved/covered expenses and have a 10% copay, only $450 counts towards your annual deductible, the $50 is copay and doesn't count towards the deductible). I didn't fully understand this before signing up and assumed it worked similar to healthcare insurance, but overall had a good experience and will continue to keep my two kittens/cats insured with Pets Best.

We recently had the opportunity to utilize our emergency pet insurance when our dog had an allergic, life threatening reaction to a bite or ingested object. I'm glad we have the coverage and will be reimbursed 90% after our $500. yearly deductible. The only criticism I have is that our regular Vet comes to the house instead of having an office. We naturally used him for follow up visits. His office visit is not covered since it's a house call. There should be a normal office fee allowed even for traveling vets. A Standard amount that they would pay if it were a vet with an office instead of an RV. Simply a normal and customary fee for this type of visit that doesn't exceed a regular office visit.

The coverage is wonderful and a great piece of mind. We get a good chunk of our money back from our vet bills. My only negative, is that I’ve tried to contact the company numerous times via phone and chat and have not been able to speak to anyone.

Great insurance for the price. Payment should be quicker. Also sometimes especially in an emergency Vet visit, payments are done over the phone and no receipt is provided. I submitted the vet bill showing the costs and total amount which showed a payment. I had to submit my credit card bill to prove payment which slows the reimbursement process and is not warranted.

While it took a while to speak to a representative to answer some questions I had, once they were resolved, everything went smoothly. I received the exact amount I expected. The money was in my bank account soon after I got the email saying my claim was approved.

All has been good so far but I don't know where my reimbursement is stated it was paid but I haven't seen it hit my account. They were very quick to complete it but haven't seen it

I would give them a 5 except that they have an odd way of applying your deductible. Yes, it is disclosed in the fine print, but I didn't understand that was how it was being done until I filed a claim. Instead of applying the total dollar amount of each claim to the deductible until the deductible has been met, they take out the "copay" amount (in my case 20%) and only apply the amount they would have paid. In all the years I have had insurance for pets and humans, I have never seen this. So, it means if you have a $250 deductible, what you really have is a $300 deductible if that makes sense? Aside from that, claims payments could be faster, but so far, the rates are reasonable (I have a 2 year old dog - they will go up), and I like that they pay from whatever the vet charges, not what they think the vet should charge. My previous pet insurance only paid on what they thought was a reasonable charge. I can't say that I disagreed that the charges were sometimes very high, but I can't control what the vet charges, and all of the vets in this area seem high to me.
