Took 3 weeks for bill to be approved, unsure of my 1st experience with company, even when I sent them all the paperwork I had . Glad this matter was cleared up, and I can finish care for my dog.

Fairly slow to review claims, and tends to be a bit stingy. But reasonably priced, and ultimately I got reimbursement for most of what I expected.

My Parents and sister have pets best and it seems I am the only one who waits forever for reimbursement. I received my letter last week and deposit still has not hit my account. Why does this keep happening with every claim for Waylon.

Please keep in mind, that Pets Best issues payment when the Explanation of Benefits goes out. This means, that the length of time between when you receive your Explanation of Benefits and when you receive payment could be determined by your chosen financial institution. Reimbursement takes a long time. I signed up with Pet’s Best because it was advertised as a 10 day reimbursement rate. Can take up to 45 days. Anything they don’t want to pay is attributed to pre-existing conditions.

Customer service has been fantastic and the time is representative has spent in answering my questions have been phenomenal. The only complaint I have is the time it takes to complete a claim. My past insurance was 3 to 5 days no matter how large the claim was this last claim took over a month that would be my only complaint, as it takes a little time to get funding back.

I did not receive my Paid Claim in 5-7 business days (much longer) and the claim response took much longer than usual.

Once a claim has completed processing, we send out an Explanation of Benefits via email to the Policyholder. If the Explanation of Benefits shows a reimbursement for the claim, the first page of the Explanation of Benefits advises how the reimbursement will be sent, via claim check or direct deposit. The Explanation of Benefits also advises to allow 5 to 7 days for a claim check to arrive, or if the Policyholder has signed up for direct deposit to allow 5 to 7 days for bank processing time. On future claims, if you’d like to receive updates on your phone regarding the claim status, you can sign up to receive push notifications on our app under the More menu. I was disappointed that your max allowance for necessary annual procedures was so low compared to the costs at my vet. I live in cape cod MA, and through no fault of my own, every thing here is overpriced as a result of the influx of wealthy seasonal vacationers

I like having insurance for my pets . But the deductible is a bit high for my English Bulldog. I don’t believe I’ll meet the $1000 dollar deductible unless he has a serious accident. He goes for his wellness checks and his vaccines . He had an ear infection was not covered.

Slow to process claims. Takes 30 days or more sometimes. When I enrolled I was promised 10 days maximum. Would like to see payment upfront then be responsible to vet for balance like some of your competitors are doing.

It takes a while before we get reimbursed. We never had issues with ASPCA. Claims are just taking so long.

Purchased the option to cover for wellness and exams. When I submitted a claim it was denied because it said what I was submitting was apart or normal routine care. Also had to wait for over a month to get a response on another claim. Also trying to renew policy and they for some reason don’t accept Chime.

The payouts take a long time. Additionally the whole amount does not apply to the deductible, only a percentage.

It is written into our newer underwriter’s Accident and Illness policy that we apply the Policyholder’s chosen Coinsurance, minus the Policyholder’s chosen Deductible, up to the Annual Limit of the policy. What this means is, on an eligible Accident and Illness claim, we apply the Coinsurance percentage first to all eligible line items, and then the Annual Deductible, and what’s remaining is the Reimbursement, up to the Annual Limit of the Policy. That’s because the Policyholder is responsible for the Coinsurance percentage on the entire eligible invoice, even before meeting the Annual Deductible for the policy year. The claim process takes a long time to get a response about claims. Not all claims are covered as stated. The app doesn’t work as it should, I use the website to check on claims.
