The time to process the claim is very lengthy, compared to other pet insurances that I have had in the past.

It took 3 weeks for my dogs claims to settle, still waiting for reimbursement as I write this but hoping it gets here soon via Direct deposit

Once a claim has completed processing, we send out an Explanation of Benefits via email to the Policyholder. If the Explanation of Benefits shows a reimbursement for the claim, the first page of the Explanation of Benefits advises how the reimbursement will be sent, via claim check or direct deposit. The Explanation of Benefits also advises to allow 5 to 7 days for a claim check to arrive, or if the Policyholder has signed up for direct deposit to allow 5 to 7 days for bank processing time. On future claims, if you’d like to receive updates on your phone regarding the claim status, you can sign up to receive push notifications on our app under the More menu. Never having Pet Insurance before, I am disappointed with a payment from this company amounting to half of the $278 Vet bill I submitted. They advertise 70 80 and 90% reimbursement. My policy is for 90% yet I got half of $278. Oh well.....

I am grateful for the service. However, processing times have been outrageous for each claim that I have submitted. Additionally, lots of mistakes were made on some of my previous claims that kept me from getting my money back.

Prices are okay but wait times for reimbursement are very long up to 40 days, had a an expensive surgery that cost me around $5,000 and it took around 35 days before I got reimbursed 80% and my credit score dropped a good amount in that time

I still cannot figure out why Gus's Nexguard is sometimes covered and sometimes not. I know it has something to do with the dates but I order when I have the extra money so sometimes its not 'once a year' and exactly what dates are the year... 1-12 or something else?

Wellness visits should be fully covered I pay a lot in the insurance every month and get less than 50%back

They seem to issue payout amount as they promise based on the plan you choose… but I just absolutely cannot deal with the processing times. Each claim I’ve submitted has taken over a month just for them to approve and then another week or so to get the payment. At that point we are not only paying our vet bill up front but now having to accrue interest on our credit card. In the meantime they are still taking our monthly payment no problem. It’s so disappointing. Every review for them says the same, why are they not fixing their ONE main issue by hiring more staff? By continuing on this path they are losing loyal customers left and right. The upper management decisions here seem poor. Hire more staff for faster claim processing and you could potentially be a 5 star company!!!!!

Claim denied . Not notified. Needed a credit card receipt despite vet writing that I paid in full. Had to call to find out problem.

The approval process on my claim took way longer than I accepted and then was denied because I didn't have proof of payment for the balance, which meant I had to refile a claim and wait another month....couldn't they just have call my vet to confirm payment was made??
