Take to long to process claims. And don't seem to cover anything. Maybe I have the wrong plan but I thought it was one of the better plans they offered.

Confusing how benefits are applied. I submit a claim for Health and Wellness and receive something like: “Sorry, you’ve used up that benefit for this year.”

I am a new customer and felt that the $500 deductible was too high, ON TOP of the co-pay! By the time the claim was processed we got a tiny amount of money. Not happy.

Hi Susan, this is the policy you selected when you enrolled. We dont choose the deductible for you. If you want a better coverage plan, please give us a call.

Considering a different insurance company. I have noticed that I do not receive adequate coverage and from experience have had better coverage with other companies.

Pets best does everything they can to delay paying. I sent them a receipt that I’ve paid yet every time they want to see a paid receipt. My vet would not let me out their door without paying. Anyway what difference does it make pets best is supposed to pay me not the vet. The vet would not be going after pets best he vet would be coming after me for payment. Petsbest just delays payment. Another time I had a big bill and petsbest didn’t believe the invoice so they contacted the vet to get the exact same invoice before they would pay

Hi Marcia, you have been with our company for a little over a year with multiple claims submitted. As you know from previous experience, we require an invoice showing proof of payment in order to process your claim. We notified you to let you know what was required. Verbal proof of payment from the clinic is also allowed. We will notify when the claim is done processing. Have a good day.

Website is horrible and doesn’t provide any idea when you claim will go through. Downloading a simple invoice took forever and I had to a few attempts

I purchased a more expensive plan @ $70/mth I submitted receipts for over $1100 & received a $15 reimbursement. I felt frustrated and called to cancel. The rep said she would look into and see if there was a mistake. I hope this get rectified as I thought I would be receiving almost $500+ in reimbursements. If not I will have to cancel as you may have over promised and under delivered.

These folks have figured out how to prevent a substantial amount of your veterinary bill from being applied to your deductible. My out-of-pocket expenses are very much higher than anticipated. Will be finding a new company shortly

Hi Michael, wellness does not apply to your deductible because you dont have to meet a deductible in order to be reimbursed for the wellness expenses. Your policy renews in May and you are able to remove or cancel the plan at that time. We are sorry to hear you are looking to leave and wish you the best.

I have not been happy with the customer service. I couldn’t get a hold of anyone to check the status of my claim and when I got the check half wasn’t covered and again I call customer service and I wait on hold for 20 minutes with no answer

Very unhappy with the customer service I have been receiving lately. They don’t seem to care if customers are happy. This applies to supervisors as well. The referral program is a joke and her applies unless I call in. When I was happy I was referring lupus company all the time. Done referring for sure. My premium just went up hundreds of dollars as well.

the coverage amount and reimbursement program is very unclear. I received a vaccination bill for new puppy. I paid $173.00 at time of service. My reimbursement was only $93.00 No detailed info, just the lump sum, with no explanation. Not a good value at all, based on me purchasing the fully comprehensive program, that includes wellness. I don't see the value here!

Very very slow to pay claims. Made a claim and it took over a month before they paid it. But they did pay it with no hassle they need to work on there claims.

They used to be great, until they sold the company. 35 days for a claim to be approved. They used to be so efficient, not any more.

SLOW claims processing - even for routine services (well check vaccines) Hour long wait times for customer service reps to answer phones Claims adjuster didn't recognize Canine Bortadella as a vaccine and didn't pay it until I brought it to their attention Really bad - reason I'm leaving two stars instead of one is because people I have spoken to have been pleasant - not their fault the company is so bad

They don’t cover 90% of anything. Make sure you read every word of the policy and fine print. Like most other pet insurance, likely not worth it in the long run

It took a month for them to contact my veterinarian due to my photos and fax of my dog’s wellness shots to be processed. It put me in some financial tighthold for his follow up due to how long it has taken. And I am starting to see the same happen again. It took them last minute to notify me that they were having issues and were extremely backed up with claims. If this continued to happen, I might have to switch to another pet insurance.
