The claim processing is very slow, the underwriting did not state about the number of processing days, not unless you call the hotline they tell you its 30 to 42 days.

The insurance is not worth what you pay. I was very disappointed in the coverage and fine print. As soon as possible I will be dropping the insurance.

The premium at renewal is not based on the claims you’ve submitted, but it is based on your pet’s age, breed, and the cost of veterinary care in your local zip code area. As pets age, their odds of needing medical care increase, as do the odds this care will be more expensive. Premium changes occur annually at renewal to balance these age-related health risks with rising medical care needs. For the amount I pay, and benefits I signed up for, I get zero help. They covered less than $200 of an over $2000 spay bill.

This insurance is very disappointing. They reimburse minimal amounts and charge a high annual fee. I would not enroll another pet with this company.

The calculations for reimbursement are completely wrong and nobody wants to look at it. If I have a 70/30 plan, then I should be receiving the 70% reimbursement NOT your company

It is written into our newer underwriter’s Accident and Illness policy that we apply the Policyholder’s chosen Co-Insurance, minus the Policyholder’s chosen Deductible, up to the Annual Limit of the policy. What this means is, on an eligible Accident and Illness claim, we apply the Co-Insurance percentage first to all eligible line items, and then the Annual Deductible, and what’s remaining is the Reimbursement, up to the Annual Limit of the Policy. That’s because the Policyholder is responsible for the Co-Insurance percentage on the entire eligible invoice, even before meeting the Annual Deductible for the policy year. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee specific claims outcomes, or the payment of a claim, until all information has been received and reviewed. I feel like I am better off without pet insurance cause it's not worth it. It did not cover much & I paid a lot out of pocket. Not even going to receive that much money back. Don't use best pets. It's not worth it. It's hard to get a refund because first of all you felt like it was not old to me all the money. So I paid for the doctor's visit.

It took over a month to get a refund. too late. Compared to the monthly premiums I pay, the insurance premiums covered are lower than those of other insurance companies. Considering whether to cancel or not.

I am VERY disappointed with this pet insurance. I submitted over $700 dollars in claims to be told they will only reimburse $20. I've reached out to them and as of this writing have not received a reply.

I am paying for insurance since year with this company, I made my first claim when my puppy had a false heart murmur, I waited over two months then received not even half of what I paid back, I am very disappointed and feel cheated

The Explanation of Benefits also advises to allow 5 to 7 days for a claim check to arrive, or if the Policyholder has signed up for direct deposit to allow 5 to 7 days for bank processing time. Claims take a month to be processed and only reimburse a year for the 3 year vaccine. Customer service is reachable only by phone which is not convenient at all.

The claims take way too long to process comparing to other companies and their customer service was really bad each time I called to try and get an update on the claim I submitted.

They take forever to process the claims and most things that you use it for either arent covered or go towards your deductable.

Claims are processed in the order they’re received. Claims take an average of 15 days to be completed. However, more complex cases take up to 42 days currently. When there’s a claim with both medical treatment and wellness items (routine care) on the invoice, we split the claim into two claims and process one for Accident and Illness, and one for Wellness. When you receive an Accident and Illness claim Explanation of Benefits from us, if any of the processing went towards the co-pay or deductible, that means the claimed condition was coverable. If a claim was denied or ineligible for coverage the amount would be in the ineligible column, and the Explanation section would show why it was denied. Keep in mind all Accident and Illness policies have a Policyholder chosen per pet co-pay and deductible that must be met before reimbursing on eligible claims. Understand, we cannot guarantee specific claims outcomes, or the payment of a claim, until all information has been received and reviewed. Our Wellness Endorsements are a set schedule of benefits that are not subject to a deductible or co-pay. Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. To keep the additional premium for the Wellness Endorsements reasonable for our Policyholders, they are not designed to fully cover all your wellness needs, but to assist you with the financial burden of your pet’s annual wellness care by providing some reimbursement of what you paid to your veterinarian for their services. You can find your Declarations Page and Wellness Schedule under Documents and Forms in your account on our website. If you’d like, we’d be happy to go over your claims and coverage concerns with you. I’ve been waiting for a VERY long time for my claim to be approved, and all I get is an email saying they are sorry with no update to how much longer I might be waiting. I pay a lot of money for this insurance, I shouldn’t have to wait multiple months for my claims to be approved and for me to get my money back when my pet falls ill. If I didn’t have an elderly animal, I would go elsewhere. Will not be using them for my next pet.
