Website well designed, easy to navigate and informative. However, extremely difficult to reach representatives by phone, extraordinarily long wait times, quality and capacity of personnel lacking.

Pets Best Insurance is well worth the money! We have had this insurance for more than two years now and we definitely recommend this health insurance to any Pet Owner in need. Their claim submission process is streamlined. Pets Best keeps you updated as the claim is reviewed through the Claim Process. They reach out if any claim needs more explanation, and their reimbursement invoice is detailed and clearly states the reason(s) why an item is/is not covered. We have had one increase in our monthly payment over the past two years, but it was a minimal increase. We are very please customers indeed!

I had to do an appeal of denied coverage for second pet that Pets Best covered fully for first pet. It took a long time to get someone on the phone and they were not well informed of policies or process. I sent in the appeal along with a letter from our vet and it was denied again. No comment on why they paid for pet 1 and not pet 2 for exact procedure. To ask a question, I have to call the same number and go through a customer service person. Feel brushed off in an unfriendly, hard to use process.

Claims are processed quickly and it’s good to be able to talk to a human instead of a chat bot if there’s a question.

What’s the point of insurance if I’m not being insured on any of my vet visits?

Need better coverage for annual and routine vet visits. Often, coverage is denied when the plan lists it as covered. Rates went up considerably over the last few years (from around $40 in 2020 to around $60 in 2024–same plan for the same dog).

Fraud. Save your money. I had two dogs insured from early/mid life through end of life care. My most recent dog I Spent more than $3,000 in her final weeks. Monthly premium was $82. Reimbursed $38. Not even half. Almost exactly the same experience with my older dog. Spent far, FAR more in monthly premiums than having anything “covered” by them. They fooled me once with my first dog. Shame on them. They fooled me again with my second. Shame on me. You’ve been warned.

Thanks to Pets Best I do not need to worry about my injury prone kitty!! Who want to put their pet down over not being able to pay? Pets Best has been there for my Star for over a year, and 3 visits to the ER alreay. Thanks for keeping our family healthy, and together!!! Ray C

I can’t believe how lucky I am to have Pets Best Insurance for my dog. Unfortunately she broke her ankle. Pets Best has done everything exactly as the policy described! They have been kind and quick and kept me posted during a short time while they checked medical records. I could not have afforded to care for my dog without the insurance and I would have had to make some very difficult decisions. Getting Pets Best was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Very affordable pet insurance and easy to navigate. The only inconvenience experienced was that it took over a month to get claim processed and there weren’t even any hiccups with it. However, once processed, I was satisfied with the reimbursement.

When I first purchased the insurance I loved it, my dog turned 6 and they double the price - so now it is super expensive. Can't switch at her age now to another company so I am stuck.
