Don't bother wasting your money with this company! I've paid more out of pocket and on premiums than they have reimbursed me for any wellness or illness visits. The $500 deductible has a big hitch to it. They take out so-called copays so it's almost impossible to reach said deduction amount for the year. Yes, the deductible is annual. Even on wellness visits they only reimburse once! So if you are a few weeks early on your pet wellness visit they will not reimburse you for it. I would not recommend Pet's Best to anyone. Take what you would pay for a premium every month and put it in a savings account. This was a big waste of money! And in today's economy, we all need to save not waste. This was an expensive lesson for me. I will be canceling my policy before my next renewal. And of course, premiums are going up by $30 MORE per month! DO NOT PURCHASE A PET POLICY FROM PET'S BEST! I repeat DO NOT buy a policy from Pet's Best!

I spent close to $900 within 6 days to see what was going on with my dog! On that 6th day he just died right in front of me on May 6th. He would have only been 11 on June 1st. In submitting my claims, to add insult to injury they only paid $8.12 of $892.77. There should be something in there payoffs that if the pet dies to ease their pain by paying at least half whether or not the deductible was met or not!!! I thought it was just very heartless.

I have very rarely used this insurance. It seems when I have, they never pay anything. We pay a $45 monthly premium. We’ve had this insurance for nearly 6 years. My plan is to cancel if this last claim isn’t paid. I’m not very happy.

This is the worst insurance company we have ever dealth with. They constanly ask for more paperwork and infomation that we have sent 3x. My husband and I are both elderly handicaped adults. The last thing we need in this world is being harrased by your company for the same paperwork over and over again. My husband had a stroke a few years ago and we were afraid he was going to have another with his blood pressue was so upset with them.. Some one help us. Richard and Celeste Selneck

It took months to get the Vet bill reviewed even with multiple phone calls. They did not cover what the policy says should be covered. Not worth the money

It took a month and a half for them to process my claim only to refund me 50 dollars out of a 700 dollars bill for my cat

Coverage doesn’t really seem financially feasible for wellness visits and the hassle entailed in getting reimbursement and time involved for their review process has me questioning if I’d be better off just saving the money myself.

Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. I just filed my first claim in 4 years and I was very unhappy at how they calculate the reimbursement.

Always undercutting substancially of what vets cost. Looking to find new coverage or self-insure because it is a similar payout.

A month to process claims is outrageous. The fact that this insurance company elects to cover so little should cause concern for anyone shopping for pet insurance.

I honestly was so excited to have this company cover my new pet because my sister raves about their excellence but I received the complete opposite. It’s like talking to a brick wall the amount of times I had to call and say the same thing over and over about my adopted dog. On top of the terrible turn around times even though advertised 10-15 days be prepared to wait 30-42 on top of them requesting the same medical records you have submitted already 3-4 times. Completely disappointed and sad that I did not receive the same experience as my sister. And it’s not the customer service people they are great it’s the claim center that needs to get it together. Considering canceling if this next claim that I’ve been waiting forever for doesn’t go as planned. Why give them money if I’m seeing zero benefits.

However, Pets Best also understands that some pets have a limited medical history. In most cases, claims can still be reviewed so long as we've been notified of the history available and all available records have been received.
