The time to process claims is VERY long. Really needs to be sped up. Additionally, the WAY individual claims is processed is problematic, as I can't link claims together. Some of my claims were denied improperly, as they were individualized, vs being tied to analysis being done to diagnose an issue.

Easy to file claims. Claim processing is slow. Quick reimbursement once claim has been processed. I’m disappointed that they will not cover the standard treatment for Giardiasis, Panacur C. It was prescribed by the vet, is standard treatment, but is also available OTC. I received mine from the vet, and had a receipt

The benefits and pricing of their plans is decent. However, their turnaround to process claims is very, very slow. Approximately 30 days.

They have great customer service. I’m glad that they are covering a lot of my puppies’ vaccines and services, but the time that it takes for a claim to be processed is terrible. My claim from 10 days ago was processed before my claim from June.

I am not sure I am satisfied with the insurance. I may switch to another company or cancel completely. I guess I thought more would be covered. What's the point of having a wellness plan if you are not going to cover the basics of keeping a pet healthy. Just not feeling that it is worth it.

The wellness information is provided to you prior to enrolling so you can decide if the plan will be beneficial to you or not. Insurance is meant to help you with the unexpected, broken bones, urinary blockages or cancer. Wellness is not insurance, its a benefit meant to help you offset the cost of what you would be spending whether you have insurance or not, so its not going to pay your full bill for these wellness visits.

Over 30 days is too long to settle a claim. If there is an issue with the vet getting back to you with necessary information, you should let the customer know.

Yes, prices will tend to go up as your pet ages. Much like in human health care, an older person is going to be more expensive to insure than a younger one. Similarly, a pet's chances of becoming ill will increase as they age. The insurance premiums are designed to reflect this increased risk of illness. Rates are based on pet's age, breed, and cost of veterinary care in your area. You'll be happy to know that prices do not go up because of your pet's personal claims filing activity. We notify you 40 days prior to renewal to let you know what to expect and renewal is 12 months from your enrollment date.

I do not like this insurance, and will be changing when I year is up. They do "deductibles" on each charge. For example, the vet did bloodwork to check for ticks because he had an infection on his eyelid. It was a bump the size of a pea - bleeding. They would not pay it. And a deductible on every other charge. The bill was $206, but they took out $45 in deductibles. It seems inexpensive, but it is not. They make up for it in the deductibles.

A deductible is the annual amount you must satisfy per year before reimbursement begins when you have a claim. So for example, let's assume that you select a plan with 90% reimbursement and a $250 deductible. Now assume your pet has a $1,000 vet bill. We would take the $1,000, multiply that by 90%, and then take off $250, leaving you with a reimbursement amount of $650. You can think of the other $350 as your co-pay. Once your deductible is met, we would simply multiply all future vet bills for the year by 90%. So, if you had another $1,000 vet bill in the same year, we would reimburse you $900. We are sorry to see you go and wish you the best.

The wellness plan is not worth the extra money. We ordered six months of heart worm chews (totaling $66) but the policy only reimburse us for $30. We were unable to find anywhere that sold heart worm preventative for $30 or less.

Great service, but needs improvement on there time on there claims takes awhile. To process.I had submit my receipts twice.

Overall I would rate them as just Okay. The service is friendly when you call in. It is easy to file a claim and you can do it with your mobile phone. But don't expect you claim to be processed quickly. It takes them close to 40 days just to process the claim. They are experiencing growing pains and will always tell you they are adding staff.

Pets Best is not the company it once was prior to CareCredit's involvement. Claims were processed in two weeks and now its 40 days or more. Way too long for policy holders to have to wait to be reimbursed for expenses.
