I just received a beautiful teal dress in my usual size. It fits me like a bath robe. I love the fashions and the natural fibers, but they really need to be more realistic about their sizing.

Poetry Fashion catalogues are beautiful, and the clothes are well made and fashionable. I've bought a lot from them, and my main complaint was that the boxes were flimsy and always arrived broken and unusable for returns; a simple plastic envelope would have been better. Lately, the pants have been unwearable for me: they are featuring wide legs, or full pants with narrow hems - maybe a great look on a tall slender model, but on a short (5'4") 148 lb. women they look absolutely ridiculous - not flattering at all! The new cord trousers in particular have very tight waists (a common problem for Poetry Fashion) and way too much fabric in the hips and in the stomach - also the corduroy has no stretch and is very heavy. The twist linen they use, on the other hand, is fabulous - cool with a nice drape and no wrinkling.

The website was hard to use. The garments were expensive and all seemed to have very picky and elaborate care instructions.

Beautiful styles — no petite sizes.

The natural fabrics are gorgeous and the knitware/corduroy invariably well made. One of best things about Poetry is they provide two sets of sizing charts for each item: one is standard size chart and the other gives the length dimensions of the item so you can order a size up or down as necessary. What I dislike is the unreliable delivery (even if you pay extra) and if you point this out in your review their Customer Services resent it and won't print any negative review of your experience. They prefer a false narrative of customers' experience. I also dislike their associated company called Wrap which offers poor quality clothes and which pesters me with catalogs despite my asking them not to send me any more.

I agree with Chris Fierke. I would like to order a number of items, but the negative reviews scare me.

Not sure what to think so many good and bad reviews. I've been getting their catalog for the last 2 years and see so many items I would love to buy. But these reviews scare me. Sizing issues - refunds - shipping - cheap materials. Guess I'll wait another 6 months to see if the ratings get any better.

I ordered linen pants according to the measurements they gave on their website. Size 12. I'm 5'9" tall and usually wear a 10 or 12 US depending on the manufacturer, They were HUGE and I measured the waist and it was 2" more than the website says! Order down at least 1 or 2 sizes. They need to definitely change what their measurements say. Now I have to pay $6.00 to send them back and I ordered 2 other sizes this time and will again have to pay $6.00 to return one of them.

The only reason I even bought a second item from them, is that I LOVE the designs, BUT, I had to nag to get any tracking info!i still haven’t gotten any after a week! I also wrote a review about the silk velvet coat I bought, and they turned both reviews down! The only thing I said was “the velvet nap was going in the wrong direction, but the coat was so beautiful!” Also, they do not specify they are sending stuff from the UK! Why? No response from last two emails!

Shipping is EXTREMELY slow. Box was damaged. Read the other reviews about customer service and attitude. Fabrics are lovely. The pleated pants I bought are small in the waist and HUGE in the pleats. Not going through returning due to reviews about that. Ordered a short top with buttons at the bottom I really like..

I gave three stars only because commenting without giving stars wasn't possible. I just wanted to say that there are two companies with almost the same name "Poetry Fashion" and Poetry Clothing". They carry totally different lines of clothing and probably have different customer service records. "Poetry Fashion" carries beautiful natural fiber clothing. I'm interested in reading their reviews, but can't be clear on who's being reviewed here.

I'm sure the products are nice but beware - if you return something you pay for return shipping +++ the original shipping costs. In my case over $20 for one sweater. Will not buy from them again

I’ve bought many pieces from this company, but I have trouble making sure my pick is the right color for me. I am a 65 yr old, blonde, blue eyed white woman…I almost never see models with that coloring. Their latest catalog had a white woman, with brown hair, on only 7 or 8 pages, out of a 183 page catalog. To me, even if I didn’t have trouble with the colors, it looks racist. Why can’t we see half and half? There are certain colors I cannot wear against pale or beige skin. A company in the business of designing and selling clothing to women should know that. Very unhappy and am thinking of no longer purchasing from them.

I have recently made two expensive orders, returned the first because nothing fit - too big - and the second one, the same problem. I have had to return both. Everything from Poetry feels oversized and big. A size 12 dress felt bigger than a 16! It was huge and so much fabric. And the pants are boxy - roomy in the wrong places - and and plain unflattering. The fabrics are lovely, which is why I'm so sad. Everything looks so great on the tall, lithe models in the catalogue but not so much on a size 10/12, 5'4" person. I won't be ordering anything more from Poetry but I will admire the way their clothes look in the catalogue.

I read reviews on the company before ordering for the first time. I like some of the merchandise. I find the catalog to be very nice. I want to order 6 items from their Autumn/Winter Catalog, which is an investment for me. The unfavorable reviews regarding shipping delays, quality, and being affiliated with an undesirable company has changed my mind about ordering with Poetry Fashion. I'll keep looking.

I have been purchasing Poetry Fashion and Wrap London Clothing for the past 6 years. I have found that although beautiful initially 'out of the box, the linen tops last not even a season. The linen fiber is too delicate even for a cold, delicate wash, air dry. There are other labels of higher quality; don't waste your money.

I'm bewildered. Ordered two sweaters and two shirts in U.S. size 12, and they're so huge I could get lost in them. I'm guessing they're probably 16's, but I really don't know! I'm wondering if it's worth trying to exchange all four items for size 8's and pay the shipping cost, and then find out those aren't the right size either.

I had been getting a catalog for a year. I love the look of almost all of their clothes. I hesitated to purchase any as 99 1/2% of their reviews got poor ratings for clothes and customer service. LaShanda, in customer service, in the Margate Florida facility, which I now believe is closed as the phone number is no longer viable, gave me confidence to try one item. I tried the chunky linen sweater. It arrived damaged. I was able to return it and I was not charged for using the label. They sent another sweater and I really liked it. I washed it by hand, as they suggested, even before I wore it. I laid it flat on a towel. It shrunk and was misshapen and the fibers were very stiff. The style is there and the quality is not. It is also quite expensive for what it is. The good news is I called their number in England and spoke with a Mr. Thomas Higgs. He was very reliable. He told me to return the sweater and that I would get a credit. It took a while, but then again it is international, but I did get the credit. So for customer service they get a good rating. If they had a facility in the United States I might try something else but since they seem to have closed the one here I am reluctant to do any more business with them. If it helps anyone they are what J Jill was when it was terrific, used to be.

Everything in the catalog is just what I would like. Unfortunately, after waiting a year because I was afraid to order anything due to the previous reviews of others, I did order a sweater. It arrived damaged. I did exchange it. This one was fine. You must allow two weeks to receive anything. The bottom line is the quality is not there for the price. I can give a very good review for the customer service I received from LaShanda in customer service. I hesitate to order anything again even though the styles are just what I like.

This clothing would be stunning if you lived in a kibbutz or worked in a sterile robot factory. Depressing uniforms.
