Shipping costs of £29.95 on an item costing £23.62 seem excessive, especially as it was sent via Royal Mail.

Ordered on a Monday (machine was in stock) and paid extra £9.95 for fast delivery as a contractor was coming to my home to use the machine. Having chased Power Tools Direct several times, they eventually emailed me 8 days after the order and told me they have no stock and are refunding me. By this time the contractor had been anyway and charged me for his time even though I didn't have the machine. So Power Tools Direct cost me an extra £300 for nothing. If they had no stock, why did they put the order through, take my money and not contact me once to let me know I wouldn't be taking delivery? Awful, do NOT use them.

On one let know anything. I paid for express delivery yet 5 days later still waiting. Go somewhere else if you want anything. I will be reporting them if something doesn’t happen soon.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service. We do advise at checkout in bold red text that orders may well be delayed due to Covid 19 restrictions on both our warehouse and that of our carriers.

Not really very good. It was not their fault and this company is normally a delight to work with but they were let down by delivery agents. It was on 3 day delivery and 8 days later I still don’t have them. Hoping for tomorrow. Great people usually.

don't order as a guest, never received product, was told it was delivered, had to fight to prove it was not, as in security cameras proof. I contacted the delivery company, not delivered, rang, got answering machine, I email, got sarcasm, to then get told you have a refund and closed my account. You can only leave a review, if you have an account. I paid for item then £7.46 for delivery then £6.07 tax. You have done me a favour, cheaper on Ebay. Terrible company feel free to cancel this account too. I hopefully, manage to save some one else the nightmare you have put me through

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the treatment you received. Unfortunately if we do have confirmed delivery to the requested address we do have to ask for other evidence and carry out an investigation. This is standard policy for virtually all online traders. With regards to your other comment on your account being deleted, if you order as Guest then an account is not created, that is what Guest means, so we did not delete your account, it just never existed. In the end you received a full refund for an order which we had proof of delivery to the correct address, hardly a nightmare I would suggest?

Ordered Makita grass shears (body only) but which should have been "Supplied with hedge trimmer shear blade" as per Power Tools Direct web advert. There was no hedge trimmer shear blade and now PTD will not send it. The order has not therefore been completed.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service. As we have explained the Hedge shear mentioned in the description is the attachment that is shown in the image and comes already fitted to the unit. This is as verified by Makita. There is no other accessory for the unit.

A broken pump had been boxed and sent to me as brand new! I have asked for a replacement but so far nothing. They said a courier was coming to collect the broken pump but they have not turned up!

Was supposed to be next day delivery but came 2days later, no one replied to my email and was impossible to contact anybody on the phone even after leaving my number on answer phone. Got the product but was to late as needed it next day !!!!

Hi Mike, hands up we did just miss the shipment for the carrier on this one. It was ordered at 11.52am and our shutoff is 12pm so it was a little close to the wire. We would always advise customers that must have an item by a certain day that there are circumstances that can arise with our warehouse and the carriers that can cause an item to be delayed on rare occasions. I can only apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you

placed an order and paid for 1-2 day express delivery, still waiting on 4th day for delivery. contacted customer services who told me that they do not guarantee the delivery, so why offer something you can not do, no offer of the extra postage refund, really disgusted will not use this firm again, i am thinking of contacting the fair trading people to see what they will say, buyers beware

Item was in a plastic tub and just put in a polythene bag, due to the weight of the item the tub split and approx half of the contents spilled into the plastic bag, the tub contained screws which cut through the plastic bag in a number of places causing some of the contents to be lost. I emailed the company's customer services to inform them but never received any form of response.
