“Item was showing as in stock but they had none, money refunded”

“Order placed online and paid for, 2 days later, "sorry we can't supply". Refunded, but 2 days wasted. Online stock control is not a difficult thing theses days”

“Absolutely disgraceful service, ordered an item , they didn't deliver, when i questioned them after the delivery due date, i was told it was a stocking error, they did not have the product. i was left stranded without the item out of pocket until the money has been returned, no compensation, no sorry and admitting the fault was there's. i had to chase up with them, they had no customer service. there answer to all of this was 'it industry standard' to sell an item they do not have in stock, take your money , not delivery, no contact with you and not admit responsibility. there website claims that they are amazing and that they delivery excellent customer service, dont be fooled guys, call them up before ordering anything online and make sure they have it in stock.”

“accepted my order took the money for express delivery, 6 days later no contact from them but no delivery. They did not have the stock to sell but took the payment and order anyway. If you cant fulfill order you should say so and not accept”

“It took over 2 weeks to tell us our order was not available. In the meantime we had to keep chasing for info Power Tools was in no way proactive in keeping us updated on our order status. Money was refunded and same product ordered and received from another company within 3 days. Not impressed with service and will not buy from again”

“Paid for required screws etc for an urgent job. paid for 2 day delivery. nothing Now they will not respond to my emails. Obviously a poor drop shipping account. This will go to court I reckon. I just wanted simple contact and updates on my order.”

“Ordered on a Monday (machine was in stock) and paid extra £9.95 for fast delivery as a contractor was coming to my home to use the machine. Having chased Power Tools Direct several times, they eventually emailed me 8 days after the order and told me they have no stock and are refunding me. By this time the contractor had been anyway and charged me for his time even though I didn't have the machine. So Power Tools Direct cost me an extra £300 for nothing. If they had no stock, why did they put the order through, take my money and not contact me once to let me know I wouldn't be taking delivery? Awful, do NOT use them.”

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service. We do advise at checkout in bold red text that orders may well be delayed due to Covid 19 restrictions on both our warehouse and that of our carriers.

“Not really very good. It was not their fault and this company is normally a delight to work with but they were let down by delivery agents. It was on 3 day delivery and 8 days later I still don’t have them. Hoping for tomorrow. Great people usually.”

“don't order as a guest, never received product, was told it was delivered, had to fight to prove it was not, as in security cameras proof. I contacted the delivery company, not delivered, rang, got answering machine, I email, got sarcasm, to then get told you have a refund and closed my account. You can only leave a review, if you have an account. I paid for item then £7.46 for delivery then £6.07 tax. You have done me a favour, cheaper on Ebay. Terrible company feel free to cancel this account too. I hopefully, manage to save some one else the nightmare you have put me through”

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the treatment you received. Unfortunately if we do have confirmed delivery to the requested address we do have to ask for other evidence and carry out an investigation. This is standard policy for virtually all online traders. With regards to your other comment on your account being deleted, if you order as Guest then an account is not created, that is what Guest means, so we did not delete your account, it just never existed. In the end you received a full refund for an order which we had proof of delivery to the correct address, hardly a nightmare I would suggest?
