Ordered 2pm Thursday and paid extra for 1-2 day delivery. Finally arrived Monday. Said I had passed the 2pm cut off. Needed trimmer over weekend. Now completed work and trimmer stands until next year. They offered to take it back but I have to pay carriage. Special delivery one way and return delivery is not the service I expect!

Hi Richard, I am very sorry to hear that the item wasn't with you in time for the weekend. The delivery service you chose is a 1-2 working day delivery and since the item in your basket was listed as a 2 day delivery item and the order was placed after our 12pm cutoff for order processing, the delivery date was correct according to our delivery terms I'm afraid

Received a faulty angle grinder. Phoned customer service - reluctant voices. Not really wanting to accept responsibility. Asking me to contact the manufacturer (not my responsibility). Very poor helpline. Hoping to hear from someone who will acknowledge a customer problem.

Hi Sam, no negativity was intended I assure you. You did state that in your opinion there was no fault with the machine and that you considered it to be a design fault. As this is a longstanding product from Makita we merely advised you that contacting Makita through the number we passed you would be the best way to proceed, before we were able to act on their advice. As you were not happy with this we agreed to contact Makita on your behalf which we have now done and responded to you. Unfortunately you placed this review straight after speaking with us on the phone, which to be fair gave us very little time to carry out the actions we promised to do. So we have taken your issue seriously, but there is a set of processes that must be adhered to when you are suggesting there is a design fault with a tried and tested product that you wish to return having used.

I ordered A hammer for £44 from this company with 2 day delivery 9 days later after many phone calls and emails i have not received my goods, and been told i will have to wait until they get the hammer back from their couriers before i can have my refund.....BAD BAD mistake ordering from this company. Hi Stephen, I am sorry for the poor service on this occasion. It seems that the carrier were unable to identify your address which was the reason for the delay. It is our policy not to refund the customer until we have successfully identified the location of the parcel, as often the parcel does get delivered eventually, albeit delayed. I beleive this is the case for your delivery and you have now received it. I am sorry for any inconvenience you were caused

I haven't received it yet from City link who said they would try again to deliver on Mon but didn't!!!

Hi Mark, I am very sorry that your delivery reschedule was not carried out by the carrier. As soon as we were informed of this a redelivery attempt was scheduled and the parcel was delivered to you sucessfully the next day. I am sorry our carrier has let you down on this occasion

Hi Barry, I think you may have the wrong company? The only order we have for you is for some Ronseal One Coat Fencelife which was delivered to you on the 27th May which was the next working day after ordering. Please do contact us if you feel this is not the case and we will look into this as a matter of urgency

Hi Graham, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service. I'm afraid that we cannot guarantee that the colour of any of the paints we sell will match the images precisely as shown on the site. We do display the manufaturers own image, but the sample may well look a different shade when viewed on a computer, or indeed different machines. Your order was placed over the weekend so would not have been processed until the Monday. We did ship it on the Tuesday and it was with you on Wednesday, which should have been within the advertised time period for the product. Having paid an extra £20.95 for express delivery of my order, only half the goods arrived, several phone calls and emails later, after a fortnight almost had passed, the long overdue goods turned up. The courier group Citylink were blamed for the problem. The customer waited patiently and the retailer Power Tools Direct made no gesture whatsoever for the inconvenience - other than the statutory meaningless apology. An extremely disappointing purchase, hence for this reason I cannot recommend this retailer.

Hi Edward, I am sorry to hear of your less than ideal experience with us. We did ship your order on a next day service the day after your order was processed, but unfortunately one of your parcels was not delivered by the carrier for some reason. Unfortunately we could not get a response from the carrier for some time as to what had happened to the missing parcel and whether it was in fact still on its way to you. In the end we had to give up on chasing this information and we sent out a new order to you and have had to write off the first set of goods. This is an extremely rare situation and I am sorry that your order was so delayed, but we are normally required to confirm where a missing parcel is before we can arrange a solution to the problem.

I thought I was ordering a more powerful Dustbuster as the figures 7.2 indicated . Instead they referred to the wattage and not the voltage. \delivery by City Link was appalling. After the 2nd attempt at delivery a card was found in the garden half eaten by a snail informing me that I should collect at my local depo which is 60 miles away and a 1 1/2 hour journey. After many attempts to get a human response I eventually persuaded City Link to send it again.

Hi Audrey, I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the product supplied. You were correct to look at the figure 7.2W as a measure of how powerful the unit would be, as it is indeed Wattage that is the measurement of power, not the Voltage. If the unit is unused and you still have its original packaging we would be happy to refund you for the item if you wish to return it to us?

Hi George, I am very sorry that your item was delayed, it appears that Royal Mail lost the parcel, but we did send a replacement order, by next day carrier, as soon as we were notified of this and I believe you have now received the goods. Ordered a batch of "Wooden Handles" that stipulated the length was 48 inches. When they arrived and I put them next to some other poles I already had, I noticed immediately that the Wooden Handles were quite a bit shorter. Nowhere on the website did the description say "approximately", all the wooden handles were 47 inches. The length I required had to be 48 inches minimum. The handles actually come with a label on saying 48 inches as well. I am not pleased with this, "Power Tools Direct" either need to improve their quality checks, or state on their website "these measurements are only approximate. VERY POOR.

Hi David, I am sorry to hear that the product was incorrectly described. I think the issue is that it is described as 1.2M and the conversion of this to imperial equates to 47.24inches and this has been incorrectly rounded up to 48inches. I have asked for the description to be corrected and have refunded you in full for the order. I am sorry for the inconvenience that you have been caused
