I had an excellent experience with Prep Expert's SAT course. My instructor, Miguel Chavira, was engaging and made learning enjoyable. He provided valuable strategies and was always willing to answer questions, ensuring we understood the material thoroughly. The course's structure, including practice tests and homework, was instrumental in building my confidence and improving my test-taking skills. I highly recommend Prep Expert to anyone aiming to enhance their SAT performance.

It was a very helpful course. I Started with a 1270 on my practice tests and after the course my best score was a 1510 on a practice test. My instructor Miguel Chavira put a lot of time into helping us and it really showed. The course was not just helpful for content, but also helped my test taking skills and overall ability to study.

Working with Miguel as my SAT tutor at Prep Expert has been nothing short of transformative. From the first session, it was clear that Miguel wasn’t just another tutor ticking off a curriculum checklist—he genuinely cares about his students’ success and goes above and beyond to ensure they achieve their goals. One of the most memorable moments for me was during a particularly challenging session on SAT reading comprehension. I was struggling with dense passages that seemed impossible to decode, and I started feeling frustrated. Instead of rushing through, Miguel paused the lesson and broke the passage down sentence by sentence, showing me how to identify the author’s tone and intention. He used relatable analogies that made the abstract concepts click, turning what felt like an insurmountable challenge into a manageable skill. That moment stuck with me, not just because I finally understood, but because of his patience and encouragement when I was ready to give up. Miguel’s teaching methods are incredibly effective and unique. His strategies for the SAT math section were a game-changer for me. He taught me how to approach problems systematically and look for patterns, which not only improved my accuracy but also shaved precious minutes off my test time. I still remember the moment when I solved a particularly tricky geometry question using one of Miguel’s shortcuts—I couldn’t believe how simple it felt once I followed his approach. What truly sets Miguel apart, though, is his ability to connect with students on a personal level. He always made an effort to understand my learning style and adapted his teaching to fit my needs. Before every session, he’d check in to ask how I was feeling about my progress and what specific areas I wanted to focus on. This personalized attention made me feel seen and valued as a student. Miguel’s positivity and sense of humor also made our sessions something I looked forward to. He has this incredible way of turning even the most stressful test prep moments into opportunities for growth. There was a time I bombed a practice test and was convinced I’d never hit my target score. Instead of letting me dwell on my mistakes, Miguel reframed the situation as a learning experience, helping me analyze what went wrong and creating a clear plan to improve. His unwavering belief in my potential motivated me to keep pushing forward. Thanks to Miguel, I not only improved my SAT score significantly but also gained confidence in my ability to tackle challenges beyond the test. He’s more than just a tutor—he’s a mentor and a cheerleader who genuinely wants his students to succeed. I’ll always be grateful for his guidance and support. If you’re looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in your success, I can’t recommend Miguel enough.

My instructor was Suzu Paudel. She’s a great teacher and explained topics really thoroughly. She was also really patient and made sure to look and talk through everyone’s concerns and questions, even if she already explained it. Her classes along with the resources the course provided made the studying process much more organized and easier. My SAT practice scores went up by around 300 points from the beginning of the course to my actual test!

English is not my first language, I've been struggling a lot with reading and writing questions, but just within 6 weeks, I've been able to ace my score and raise it to 730 points, this course really gives you a different approach on the SAT questions, there are lots of useful tips that I've been using from PrepExpert, and Suzu Padel, my instructor, has helped me and all the class to understand every single concept, explaining it in many different ways so everyone can understand. Thank you.

Zoom classes or courses in previous years have felt mundane and lackluster, but after 6 weeks with Dr. Kevin Parrish, I have to say, I am amazed at how engaged I was and how much I have learned. I am scheduled for the December 7th test and can’t be more confident in my ability that Dr. Parrish has instilled in me. I believe in Prep Expert!

The Prep Expert SAT course has been life changing for me, it has upped my SAT score by so so much, and has made me excited to take the actual SAT. I am so so thankful that I have gotten this opportunity and am excited for what lies in my future because of it. Isabella Raicu was my instructor and she was a very warm and fuzzy person, who made the classes not only interactive and helpful, but fun.

I feel like this class was pretty good I learnt a lot and I feel like I can improve even more with these strategies in my notebook so I could review them. One of my only concerns is that my instructor Isabella Raicu had to deal with her rooster dying and she still had to do the classes, she did them well I’m just worried for her well being. My instructor, Isabella Raicu was a good instructor she helped us when we needed help and always asked if we didn’t understand something if we encountered something challenging, after we tried it by our selves. My other concern is that I feel like that course resources should be opened for a year once the classes stopped so in case we missed anything or want to look at the hard math quizzes, practice tests, and the modules. If it costs money to keep the resources continuing then I’d recommend just having an option to send a message claiming they don’t need the resources if they completed the real SAT and got score they’re satisfied.

Miss Isabella Raicu was a wonderful prep expert instructor who made this learning experience wonderful. She taught the class with ease making sure everyone was on the same page and following along. She took her time explaining and going into detail allowing me to understand the concepts throughly. She also made the class inviting and I always felt comfortable asking her for help or to review something again. I would definitely recommend this class again for other students taking the sat. The homework assignments that prep expert offers is extremely helpful to me. The advice and rigor the homework’s offer is exactly what students taking the sat need and it has been very helpful for me.

I had Miguel Chavira as my instructor. He was awesome, great at explaining both the math and english part. He never made anyone feel bad for asking to go back and review something. The course itself was very informative. I learned a lot, especially from the practice tests. The homework truly helped me review what I learned from the class. Overall, great instructor and course.

I just can't praise enough how my experience has been so far with Prep Expert, especially with Nirmal Karthik. From day one of class, his passion to teach resonated, as did his commitment to the students. I was rather overwhelmed and uncertain going into this course, and through Nirmal's supportive approach, I regained my confidence in no time. The structure of the course was very clear and well-balanced regarding teaching the subject matter, practice tests, and homework assignments. The practice tests were priceless; they used simulated actual test conditions and allowed me to ascertain where my strengths and weaknesses lay. Each successive test acted as a stepping stone by which I could track my progress and build my skills with regard to taking this test. Nirmal took the pain to go through my homework assignments, explain elusive concepts, and made sure things that were taught got across. For this personal touch, what could have been a very harrowing experience turned out to be quite friendly. Studying was enjoyable in this class because of the camaraderie, and I will truly miss the friends made along the way. I wholeheartedly recommend Prep Expert to anyone who wants to raise test-taking skills and find a mentor that truly cares about the success of the student!

My instructors were Miguel Chavira and Taylor Trautwein they were great in explaining each concept slowly and thoroughly, helping go through the homework and making sure the class understood it, I also liked how in the last week they gave us tips and advice on each of the concepts. This class was great and definitely helped me better my score, feel more confident in standardized testing, and being able to use the concepts in my classes at school. This was a great class and I am very grateful for the instructors.

Ilia Kolmagorov was my instructor. The class was good but the homework is pretty extreme and the class is fast, but I was able to take some test-taking strategies from the course.

Our student's online experience with Prep Expert did not yield the results expected. Prep Expert could definitely be a better partner with the parents by providing automated emails of the student's weekly progress. Their login website is geared toward the curriculum not toward updates on progress. A crisp automated email would keep the parent informed rather than in the dark, which is what I experienced. Prep Expert should also consider being honest about the amount of time needed to succeed in their course. The website should say 72 hours of class time. It does not mention the work required outside of the class time. I believe an additional 144 hours of outside of class study is necessary. The time commitment is definitely a summer course only. It asks too much of child during the school year. Our other student had a much better success with a local in-person class with Comprehensive College Prep in Laguna Hills, CA.
