I am renting a flat in Birkenhead and Burplepricks were the managing agents. They never answer their phone claiming that they are closed for staff training, since well before Christmas, instructing me to report a fault via their web site. My landlord has cancelled his contract with them and instructed me to cancel my direct debit with them and rearrange with another agent BURPLEPRICKS ARE NOW SENDING ME EMAILS DEMANDING PAYMENT OF ARREARS. Of course, its not possible to reply to these emails nor do they answer their phone. No wonder they need such lengthy staff training sessions . Not worth the one star I am obliged to give them.

No one answers their phones or reply’s to emails. I was Spammed with 50 automated emails about a property I put an offer in but when the house had sold I was not informed of this small detail and my offer is still left as pending. At the viewing they said they had a problem with the booking system. they allowed easily over 200 people to view the house at the same time during a pandemic. Kate Thompson The “local property expert” which is laughable because she couldn’t answer any basic questions and has still yet to answer her phone after weeks. She is only capable for opening the door for crowds of people to crash round the property in every direction.

Very unprofessional and not answering When you make an offer it takes ages and I feel the process is not very transparent.

24 weeks after we made an offer on a house and we are not even close to exchanging, their solicitors sent a contract with the WRONG purchase price and cannot be contacted for months on end every time. We keep being promised that the solicitor has been made aware of our complaints but nothing ever happens, we are ready, the sellers are ready to move and the solicitors used by Purple Bricks have a different excuse every day for not being in the office. Still waiting on them to pass on our enquiries to the seller since November, how long does it take to send an email?! 24 weeks according to purple bricks who answered my complaint saying that we were being impatient and that it is normal for a sale to take 16 weeks...at 24 weeks they are still not taking us seriously. Avoid this company like the plague they are ruining my life

If you are selling or buying a Property in the Uk, dont use this most unproffessional Company. They do nothing ,suggest you use PPL solicitors who are a farce excuse for solicitors ..My pathetic buyer who wasted the last 5 months of my life used these to sell his home. Purplebricks made him use PPl property lawyers for the legal work.Well after months they dont even know there seller has broken the chain, lied to everyone not even kept in contact with purple bricks. They still show the home sold subject to contract..They dont keep a eye on the sitution and partly to blame for not keeping a eye like most good Estate agents do, everything has fallen apart and there fool customer has not even told them he has pulled out .Again shows how unproffesional they are as orginal compleion was last year .

My daughter sold her house in July 2021 and still hasn't completed. For a full week there was no one to deal with it as "the servers were down". The solicitors don't get back to you for days on. The most shambolic and stressful experience ever

Purplebricks and their property ‘experts’ have proved to be not only incompetent but also rude and misogynistic and for this reason I terminated the contract as I did not want to be associated with such a company. They ‘investigated’ the claims and like most companies brushed of my concerns. Of course they did not offer a refund.

Read the small print on the service agreement before you sign up . If you sign up and your property doesn’t sell they still charge you . I am at present in a dispute re a payment of nearly £2000.00 .

We were made a series of commitments like, update calls, extra photography, a video journey around the home. None happened. The local representative lied to Purple Bricks about his contact with us. We had to get our money back via the ombudsmen and the house sold via a traditional estate agent. Purple Bricks customer services were unhelpful, rude, and quite happy to carry on with the lie. A GDPR request revealed the truth. Do better.

They put in 100% to get you signed up with a great pitch then put in minimum effort to get your house sold. Some days you just can't reach them because they're busy signing other people up. I was listed with them for months and had barely any viewings. I had to go to a real agent in the end to get my house sold. The High Street agent organised lots of viewings and worked hard for their fees unlike these people. Waste of time, waste of money, avoid! They're cheap for a reason, a total scam.

Purple Bricks offer any appointments, at any time, without consideration of the agent's location to be able to physically be there for the appointment. An issue I encountered when trying to arrange the valuation initially, and happened to soo many potential buyers with the viewing of my property thereafter. They rely on you booking the appointment, then getting in touch with you to change the time retrospectively. A frustrating experience that in my mind, starts the process off in a negative way for both vendors and prospective buyers. The 'agent' herself came to the property to measure up, take some pictures, get the listing live, but she didn't do much more than this. She was quick to send her invoice to my solicitor for the 'services' she offered. Lisa on the other hand, who did my agent's viewings on her behalf, was great. Always happy to take my calls and texts, making every effort to accommodate the viewings and kept me up to date. Lisa is the reason I give any stars in this review. If the post sales teams are meant to take over once a sale is agreed, they also don't earn any stars. On the two ooccasions I spoke to the post sales team, I gave a full explanation of the position I was in and the help I needed and on both occasions they completely ignored/misunderstood what I'd said and didn't help at all. Needless to say I gave up after that and dealt with it all myself. Fortunately for me I had a responsive buyer who I was in touch with directly. A word of warning, if you intend on using your own solicitor, PAY UPFRONT for your Purple Bricks selling fees. Something I didn't do and was hit with a hefty and unnecessary charge. Small print that in mind opinion was too easy to miss. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Purple Bricks.

They have single handedly caused the house I'm buying to take 17 weeks. This is still not even confirmed to go ahead. Pathetic company.

Disgraceful service, dire complaints procedure, approved conveyancers break GDPR, the worst experience with a company I've ever had. Do. Not. Use.

I booked a valuation online and prior to travelling I called them to confirm the appointment and I was told it was confirmed booking. I travelled some 50 miles and to my surprise it was a no show by the agent. Bernadine Williams never showed up or had decency to call me. I called on mobile and left 2 messages. With no answer I called the head office and after been put on hold for 10mins I was told neither Bernadine or her manager could be reached. This company is waste of time and unprofessional so please avoid at all cost.

My mother died I wasn't in the right head space to sell the house at this point. I engaged with Purple bricks to sell the property. The sales lady who came to see me reassured me its no sale no fee etc She would do everything sit back mourn in peace and let me sort things. She also boasted about me being only one of 30 clients as they like the personal touch. They told me there would be Great communication etc etc. Non of this happened so I stopped the service. 1 year later they send me the full bill for the house sale claiming I should have read the small print. They told me lies that I deferred the sale and turned down a offer to which is why I owe them the money. I Never had a offer nor communicated to. They to top it off they didn't return my house keys so i had to change the front door! Apparently that's my fault as well.
