Tried to phone and email regarding a home for sale. Absolutely nothing back. We live a 4 hour drive from the property and wanted to confirm some things before we book and drive for a viewing. Pictures awful cant see back of garden to see how big/small or whether stairs etc as I am disabled.

Absolutely incompetent !! Don't use this company, they provide 0 service and still want paying. They couldn't accommodate the first 4 viewings, which were all rearranged usually 3 times and all then cancelled by the viewers. Turned out their viewing rep was on holiday with no replacement. They weren't chased up until I complained. The 1st actual viewing was supposed to be accompanied by the estate agent, she didn't turn up! No apology, phone call and didn't even bother to call anyway. 2nd viewing the viewing rep stayed about half an hour complaining how bad purple bricks was to work for, she left purple bricks shortly after. Put in a complaint, took 15 working days for reply where they basically said they had upheld their agreement, they tried phoning me whilst I was at work, unable to take call, so they made their decision anyway without asking anything further apart from what the agent had told them. Now escalled the complaint, not holding out much hope as the whole company is obviuosly fraudulent . Will take it further to ombudsman if necessary

Absolutely amazing experience with Putplebricks. The communication was amazing ,our agent (Anne Mitchell Scottish Borders) always emailed straight away - even on weekends & evenings. Couldn’t recommend them enough , The booking system so easy, viewers just requested a time & we confirmed it - no waiting for agents to get in touch to do this- especially at weekends when a lot of estate agents are closed . Sale agreed with our first viewing. Purplebricks also recommended an solicitor and they have been great . They keep you informed every step of the way - also the estate agents & solicitor fees together are cheaper than our local estate agent charges by themselves.

The estate agent who showed us the property was very helpful and lovely. However the estate agent who is dealing with the sale of the property was useless infact- Jennifer Brundell. Poor contact, communication and co-operation. Put an offer in after viewing and was then told the seller wanted higher so put another offer in to which seller sent a counter offer of same price which i accepted. two weeks later i am being told that it has been sold to someone else. What humanity is this, just lies and interested in their commission. Would not recommend at all! Dont waste your time with them!!!

Shocking!! Viewed a house, and put a offer in. Had a phone call to say someone else had upped there offer, so we did. Was told they would be in touch. Waited all day and the house is sold now. The agent that showed us round had a major attitude problem and didn’t know anything about the property. Very disappointed with purple bricks will never view another property with them again.

A house for sale through them in my town was up for sale at a ridiculously low value, resulting in masses and masses of people booking viewings for a house they may well have thought they could afford, going by PP price. There was never any way that the property was going to be sold at the low sale price and PP doing this probably wasted a lot of people's time. Put in an offer stg 10k over the asking price, which still made it insanely cheap for the area we are talking about and naturally it was declined. Fair enough but then the negotiation window opened but never really worked properly. There were several offers, some of which were made by people who hadn't even viewed it! Guess it went to one of these people, likely a developer. If Purple Bricks had put up a realistic sale pride in the first place people would have had a better idea where they stood. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now, as a buyer or seller

Very unhappy . Booked our first viewing on a property with purple bricks, rushed from work to get there in time , both myself and my partner were very excited with it being our first viewing . Waited at the property for over 2 hours , estate agent never turned up . Couldn’t get hold of them till next morning , was told someone would ohone me back . No return call which I waited on all day . Very disappointed.

Worst estate agent I've ever used. In order to use my own solicitor I had to pay an 'Admin fee' of over £300. Ridiculous. The local agent was great until I had a buyer then was extremely difficult to contact. I had to organise access for the EPC engineer and the buyers valuer even though Purple Bricks knew I worked away from home and the house was empty. Speaking to the buyer recently the local agent has still not handed her set of keys over, about 9 weeks after completion. I am about to sell another property and will use a local agent. The bill for Purple Bricks was around £2000. Very expensive for a poor service.

Used Purple Bricks to manage the tenants & rental of my property as I live abroad. After sales and property management is so bad. It’s a nightmare to get through to my property manager (PM) (which has changed 5 times in less than two years). My current PM is rude, condescending and patronising and never returns my calls. Any issues or query’s I had, I had to sort out myself. Do not use this company.

Don't use them. My student son can't get back the deposit. The rent has finished last September but still phone calls and emails do not give any result!

This review will no doubt be removed like all the other 1* reviews but I hope it saves someone the heartache of purple bricks! They suck you in with cheap fees and their "award winning" app and then leave you high and dry. As soon as my house went up for sale my agent stopped answering my calls, texts, emails. I had some amazing offers on the first day of viewings but didn't know what to do next, so with no experience, I started negotiating myself. I'm not really sure what I paid purple bricks to do tbh. After 3 days of viewings I had been dealing with all the buyers personally via phone rather than the app and it was a nightmare. I imagine I lost out on a good sale. Not only that, the solicitors that come with the purple bricks contract didn't respond for over a month after my sale and I nearly lost my buyer, I had called them every day and nobody answered until 6 weeks later when they told me I wasn't even on file, thankfully I got legal advice and was able to leave break contract and sort this privately. Never again. In addition, I had to retake the photos of the house myself for the ad as they were horrendous and not professionally taken at all! Agh, it has been a nightmare - I had to deal with the entire sale with the buyer myself which completely defeats the point in an estate agent.

Worst online estate agency! No communication unless they think you can be enticed to sell your property through them. Very unprofessional and there is no information even when you have placed an offer on a property. In the past used other online agencies like Tepilo who are far better and professional.

Useless. When go to book a viewing online it always gives a dates over 2 weeks after. When you call they cant book immediately. The given agents contact number no way to get through. Finally i learn they have already fixed viewing way earlier than the viewing date that is available on the web site. Not a good site at all.

Terrible. I am trying to view a property and I am having to deal with a pathetic website that is masquerading as some kind of estate agent. No human interaction at all. On the other hand, with Yopa I had a much better experience with constant contact with a human advisor through the whole viewing process. It feels like Purplebricks is just run out of someone's bedroom.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I'm really really kicking myself for not doing my research better, but I felt pressure to go with Purplebricks' recommended solicitors PPL. I trusted Purplebricks and felt that they knew more than me, so I went along with it. I also was worried about having to pay the opt-out fee. Now that I know what I know, I would definitely have paid the opt-out fee to go with solicitors that actually do their work and actually care about the client. Nine months later and my house still hasn't completed and I've done most of the enquiry chasing with management companies, land registry and the local authority. We need a deed of variation on our property and I've been doing almost all the work on that too. I started a formal complaint against PB, but was offered £50 for my troubles. What a joke. I'd rather get no money... I'd rather get justice for this awful way of trapping people into working with completely incompetent solicitors. I don't want this to happen to another family.
