Worst company I ever had to deal with. I listed my house with them because the agent seemed very active and witty. The second I listed the house, the agent disappeared. Despite multiple messages and calls, he never replied. We had no viewings or messages about the house for over a month. We then listed it someone else and sold straight away. Seriously, avoid!

We’re with this agency from october 2021 and honestly it was huge mistake…. We should first check reviews before we moved to one of houses which they “manage”….. We offered £150 a month more then they was asking bcoz we have dogs and was hard to find house who accept dogs. From first day everything was bad from one guy who was late 2 hours with the keys, he was extremely sick and his tears was full of tears bcoz of it (it was still covid everywhere). He was without mask and he didn’t keep a space from us and our small kids. We was extremely sick for one week after that day…. Later our every raport about faulty electricity (we found out in first days), broken fence and everything else was ignored…. It’s already July and we’re asking for all repairs from october but nothing is done. They just take rent and ignore us… We don’t have a chance even inform a real owner of this house how purple bricks is making our life hard here and probably he will never know the truth why we will finish contract soon and run away from this agency. We informed council about everything but as we know…. Council is also ignored by them…. Now we’re going with them to court bcoz we have enough…. From around 2 weeks we have serious problems with ants coming from the floor and walls. The only what purple bricks said is that we should buy some poison for £3 to kill it… we said we have kids and dogs here but they said that professional help will cost them £200 and…. Now they just ignore us…. The problem with ants is that much serious that they’re everywhere, they walk on my 2 years old daughter stuff, they walk on us, on our food etc etc. Everyday is more and more of them… Here you can see what we have when purple bricks want’s to save money….. This is only only one of few big problems with this house and…. They just don’t care. Just pay rent and enjoy whatever is going on with this house 🙄 I never didn’t seen agency that much don’t caring about their houses….

AVOID!!! At all costs. They were awful throughout my purchase. They didn’t show up for viewings arranged, then when they did brought their child! Didn’t answer calls. Pressured me within 30 minutes of having an offer accepted for my statements etc at 8.30pm at night. Then shared my PERSONAL BANK DETAILS with the seller who nearly pulled out of the sale after learning my deposit amount and saying my funds were short. Logged complaint and despite chasing heard nothing back about the breach! Promised a £25 cheque which never arrived either. A joke from start to finish!!

Only put 1 as I can't put zero. What an absolute joke of a company!! We are currently 5 months into buying a house and they are only just asking us for compliance that should have been done before the house was taken off the market 5 months ago. Will not discuss the sale of the house with us, even though we are the ones buying the house!! Ring them and they just pass you from one place to another saying they aren't the right department. Absolutely unacceptable service for something this important. DO NOT USE. CANT EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! We are the buyer's not the seller but I'd strongly advise not to use these for selling your house and do not buy from them. Never known anything like it!!

Poor experience using PurpleBricks to sell 2 properties. For one they assigned a solicitors to the buyers who were totally incompetent. Initial work is fine with setup of adverts, but their local agents are not interested in any customer service after clinching the sale. Would not recommend them. They are cheaper than high street agents but you get what you pay for.

Absolutely appalling company set up, my son has been a model tenant for nearly 3 years, house being sold so he has had to move out, all done in a proper fashion, they are holding on to his deposit return, he has made numerous phone calls, been passed from person to person, excuse after excuse, they have put the phone down on him, the staff are extremely rude, unprofessional and totally dishonest. can honestly say I would never use purple bricks again, yes there cheaper but you definitely get what you pay for. I sold my house with purple bricks (David beagley) he came to the house, valued my property and I instructed him to put it on the market, that was the last I ever heard from purple bricks, not one single phone call, message, nothing, I completed my house move on Wednesday without any contact from purple bricks at all. David never got back to any of the other estate agents that tried to call him about offers on my home, which ment I lost out on a house I loved. I would not recommend anyone to use purple bricks, they take ur money and run, I've still not heard a thing from anyone, I'd never use them again.

Literally don’t bother. Unless you have great control over your blood pressure. We live in the east of England and were drawn in by the flashy advert, promise of a quick sale and low fees. The valuation was good, but after that, the service was SHOCKING. The agent assigned to us was in touch multiple times a day before our property went live, the second it went live, the agent vanished. Our house was on the market for a month and we heard NOTHING from them. I messaged through the portal, nothing. Asked for a call back via the online chat, nothing. Rang the agent, answer phone. We had two viewings in one month, and both of those came from us creating a listing on Facebook. If you are cool with taking an open ended amount of time to sell, getting utterly zero support, and getting no further when you complain, go with Purple Bricks. Oh also, if you choose to defer your agent fees to be paid at completion like any other normal estate agent, be aware Purple Bricks will force you to use their inflated priced conveyancers too. We took our house off the market with Purple Bricks and sold with a new agent two days later, only to now have to pay Purple bricks sales fees and our new agent. Oh how I wish we had never bothered in the first place.

Arranged a viewing traveled 20 miles, took time off work and no one turned up. Went on to chat on their Web site and they said it was the vendor that was supposed to show us around. Even though I had received a message from purple back saying Tracy our assistant will be showing you around.

STEER WELL CLEAR...PLEASE!! Hired them to sell my mum's house after she went into a care home. Richard Evans in Burton On Trent did the valuation and I decided to deffer the payment until sold. He told my wife and I, to our faces, that if the house didn't sell in 10 months it was 'no sale no fee'! A total lie.....YOU PAY THE FEE WHETHER IT SELLS OR NOT!! It seems it's the conveyancy fee you don't pay if it doesn't go through to completion, as I've had no invoice off them since it all went pear shaped for the second time over a 10 month period! If you defer the payment you have to use their preferred conveyancers and the conveyancy firm 'Premier Property Lawyers' are an absolute joke of a company. But that's for another review!! To have purple bricks do the viewings is another £500. I paid them £500 for them to arrange ONE block viewing!! First buyer was supposed to be a cash buyer, obviously not vetted properly by purple bricks because it turned out they wouldn't pay the price they offered. Second cash buyer strung the sale out that long I lost interest and sold through auction! The post sales team is someone who answers the phone occasionally and may make a phone call to another party if you insist, but that's about it I'm afraid. When I tried calling my property expert, Richard Evans for advice on re-marketing, my calls and answer phone messages I left were totally ignored! In hindsight I made a big and expensive mistake (in time and money) by appointing these jokers. PLEASE AVOID!

We booked a valuation today as there are two houses we are interested in putting an offer on and they didn't bother to show up for this. NEEDLESS TO SAY WILL NOT BE USING. Called the person several times and left voicemail and didn't even have the courtesy to call back. STAY CLEAR.

Terrible customer service and lack of communication. They can't deliver anything that was promised. If house is not in first couple weeks they stop responding to calls, emails and texts. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I am currently purchasing a property marketed through Purplebricks. The so called 'local expert' ignores my emails, every time I speak with someone on their 'help' line they tell me a different story, 6 weeks post offer and my conveyancer still hasn't received the memorandum of sale. This means my purchase is still at least 8-12 weeks away from completion, if it ever does. I really wouldn't ever want to deal with this agent again.

Don't use them as a letting agent I use them as a letting agent, in the process of leaving them, they are changing staff constantly, they are ignorant, unprofessional and totally useless. They ignore the tenant and the landlord, they ignore emails and phone messages. They send out contractors who overcharge, because they are dishonest or purplebricks gets huge kickbacks?? Both ways are very bad. If I wasn't vigilant I would have been overcharged £3,000 in one year, which is most of the yearly rental. I wouldn't recommend these cowboys. Perhaps it's:- you pay peanuts you get monkey's That's why the staff really don't care. DO NOT USE purplebricks AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I strongly recommend you do not use Purplebricks. I opted for a pay later plan as under their money back guarantee which clearly states if your property does not sell within 10 months you get your money back in full. A few weeks before the 10 month deadline I received an email saying funds will be taken from my account. I simply said that I will be terminating the contract under the money back guarantee so please do not take any funds. I received an email saying they would not do so. I thought that was the end but oh no today I received an email and it looks like they are going to take over £2000 from my account only to have to refund a few days later when the contract expires. This is the sort of trend I have experienced with them from day one. Very poor communication. Don't expect to get hold of your agent within 48 hours. Also making viewings and letting you know with less than a days notice. Go with your local estate agents as they know the area and market better than any mainly online only company. I had two viewings in 10 months although I dropped the asking price by 30%. My local estate agents have already had three viewings in four weeks. Something smells wrong here.
