Had a couple of deliveries from this company, which were fine, so I decided to order some turf from them. Unfortunately some of the turf was not of an acceptable quality and I couldn't use it. When I complained about this, their response was "it's not our responsibility because it's a natural product", which is awful customer service. The second response I received said that they would "sort it". However, they now appear to be ignoring me. This company does not live up to its name - it does not offer quality products and it provides awful customer service. I would respectfully suggest that the customer advisers who deal with complaints are given at least some basic training in dealing with customers.

I had a very bad experience with this company and would advise everyone not to order from them. Their customer service is extremely bad and appalling too. I made an order for a bulk of soil. I have read the condition and the fact that they do not delivery into the difficult, not accessible places. As I have had never the problem in the past (living here 8 years) to delivery things in bulk I would not think the hill can be such an issue. I have been waiting for 4 days at home for delivery after receiving the email that it has been shipped. As it was already delayed I have to go back to a website and made an enquiry. I have received the phone from the company where the lady was repeating over and over that I am in not accessible property and they can not deliver. It was annoying as I was upset they have not informed of this but wanted to move on and discuss the solution for this as they have charged me already. I had to repeat many times that I understand about the place but disagree but want the solution. Then she said there will be charges of about £50 because it is in their policy. I have made the purchase for £69.60. I got upset that this is ridiculous and she started to repeat her policy again. I said I don't want to listen more of this 'bulshit' and asked her to give me her name and informed her that I will complain about this. She refused to give me her name and hang up on me as she does not need to be talk that way. I have received the email now with charges and her name Elysha. There has been clearly errors on company's side and this is not how you should handle your customers. Plus I feel like they have stolen money from me!! I run business and have delivered items every day, in bulk!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THIS IS VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL WAY TO CHARGE PEOPLE FOR NOT DELIVERING THEIR GOODS. We have builders on our street now with lifts delivering good with no problem. Shame on you Quality Garden Supplies [copied] Dear Lenka, As we have discussed on the phone earlier, to return the goods back to the depot would incur a charge of £34.20 inc VAT. Unfortunately with your property being on a very steep hill we were not able to deliver due to our tail lift offload having no breaks, (the tonne bag of topsoil would simply slip off the back off the lorry being a health and safety risk). Please see our delivery terms and conditions for more information. 3 out of 22 rolls were unusable had they had been cut too thin and had holes in and bits missing - this was obvious just looking the roll before unrolling it.Customer services are very hard to get hold off and many of my calls were cut off before being put through to someone. They were helpful when I got through, but I'm still waiting for my promised refund two weeks after being told it had been processed.

I purchased a one tonne bag of border blend topsoil. The description states the following: That it is "a dark rich blended topsoil... a fine friable organic rich loam" and that "this soil has been screened to 10mm to remove any lumps and stone." However, having examined it carefully i.e. sieved about half of it now, I can report the following: 1/ That twenty per cent plus consists of stones larger than 1cm. 2/ That the rest is comprised of at least 70% clay – I've had a geologist friend look at it and she estimated its clay content at 70-80 per cent. 3/ I have found various items that were not mentioned in the description: old nails; various bits of rusty iron; concrete; plastic (from bin liners and plastic bags); wire; bits of broken roof tiles; lumps of wood; aluminium foil; part of a mother board; a sim card for a phone; broken glass (quite a lot) ; a counter for a board game; a small piece of costume jewellery and – wait for it – a used condom. According to Quality Garden Supplies it is "perfect for flower beds and borders". My view is that it's perfect, ideal material for the local rubbish tip. This gives a new angle on fly-tipping. It's actually the reverse - fly-selling, i.e. selling what was probably originally fly-tipped material. 'Quality Garden Supplies' - close, but 'Quality Garden Crooks' would be more accurate. I intend to provide further updates on any other new contaminants/finds I may unearth.

I still have not received my delivery which has been promised and was due on Tuesday it's now Friday. Customer services have been appalling and even hung the phone up when I was trying to sort out their mistake. They had cancelled my order without authorisation or informing me so I waited at home for the order on Tuesday and Wednesday, it didn't arrive. They told me I had to pay £75 this mistake or get it delivered another day. I have chosen today (Friday) and surprise surprise it's still not here at 17.16! Communication is very intermittent they pick and chose what to reply to and it's never a quick response. Terrible company I would never recommend them to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

This company failed to deliver my tonne bag on the day they said. The following delivery was very late, again not when they said. Cost me 2 days labour and equipment hire. No call backs when they said, and calling their premium number cost me more! Steer clear.

They sent the wrong type of sand for our sandpit which has ruined the children's clothes. No response to phone calls and emails to try and get it replaced with the sandpit sand that we paid for.

I ordered pebble stones that were supposed to be river bed stones. The order was poor quality and there were lots of broken stones. I contacted the company but they refused to do anything. The product purchased was inferior to other stones previously ordered from other companies. Not a quality product or service.

The product was as described and just the job. However, needed a specific day delivery so took advise from a representative and went for next day at additional £8, and specified delivery day, even though it was 4 days hence. However was delivered a day early and left at bottom of driveway restricting access to drive. When I contacted customer care team to understand why this had happened Michelle could not care less and was not interested in the inconvenience caused to me. As far as she was concerned it was delivered job done. It is a shame when people/companies do not take pride in customer care. I believe the sign of a good company is not being perfect, but taking an interest in put thing right when it goes wrong.

Shocking bad company, if you could give less stars I would, 5t of topsoil paid for and was due to be delivered on the 29th, paid the extra for Saturday AM delivery, truck arrived at 1;38pm and wouldn't even try go down the street in case he got trapped down it if a car came after he went down, Useless driver and just wanted to go home for the long weekend. I offered to help push the pallets down the street but he said we wasn't going to do that so he drove off with my topsoil again. Called the company on the Monday to complain, told me id have to pay £102 to redeliver or £180 to cancel the order, go figure how its that much. Argued my case and sent photos of the street the driver wouldn't drive down and they agreed he should have, so they would redeliver for free. Promised 3 bags on Thursday and 2 on Friday. No bags showed up on the Thursday so called again on Friday and was told they didn't deliver because I would have to be home, even though they said I didn't have to be the day before, reason that you have to be home they said was to assist the driver if needed, so now I have to help them unload when the first idiot wouldn't do that the first day. Phoned again later on the Friday for an update as they never call you back, was then told that they had delivered 3 on the Thursday, idiots!!!, had to phone again to see what the latest update was before I left work, was told they were on there way and the rest would be delivered Saturday. Nothing again on the Friday and now its 6:20pm on Saturday and still nothing. I am now out of pocket £429 for the soil and had to hire a garden roller for another 2 weeks, so that's another £60......... Have wasted 2 weekends waiting around and a week of dealing with them on the phone. Looking forward to calling them on Monday morning!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer Service is terrible. On the website, it reads: "We can deliver most of our garden and landscape supplies next day any where in the country!" Aye, right. Try 8 days. To the middle of a city. It was going to be 6 days, but they mislabelled the pallets. What happens when they fail to deliver? Nothing. No phone call, no email. They just wait until you chase them up. So the next day, they re-send the shipment overnight. That makes it 8 days since ordering some bags of dirt, which should be a dead simple delivery. When the shipment arrives, the delivery driver calls and tells me he needs my help to unload because he can't move the 1-tonne pallets on his own. You've GOTTA be joking me. I'm at work, not home, and I can't just leave. SO HE REFUSES TO DELIVER. And then the staff at QGS start arguing with me about whether the haulier is capable of delivering. They tell me, look, we do this 100 times a week. That's grand, luv, but I'm simply relaying the message from the haulier -- they loaded a truck with heavy pallets and didn't have any way of removing it at the other end! These people are utter hell to deal with. Avoid.

Absolutely dreadful service. I paid for next day delivery waited in all day rang call centre 3 times to find out what was happening. At 4pm was told it was not going to be delivered. I was told on each occasion I would be called back and was not. My compensation was that i was reimbursed the £25 next day delivery charge. This was not reimbursed and I had to chase and am still waiting to see what happens. When delivery turned up it was wrong i ordered 2 ton and only 1 ton arrived.Again i have had to ask to be reimbursed and amm waiting to see what happens. No hint of apology and the goodwill gesture was to reimburse £25 for next day delivery which i haven't had. Dreadful Dreadful service and complete waste of my time

My order was accepted and half the delivery was completed on the the agreed date. No effort was made to contact me that quality garden supplies had manually amended my order so the the other half would turn up the next day. The landscape team was on site but with no topsoil to prepare the ground for the turf that was sitting in the drive. Numerous communications followed while the landscape team waited, in the end they buggered off billing me for a half a day! The topsoil was eventually delivered at 1730hrs, a whole day late. I would not recommend these guys and I think I will take them to the small claims court to recoup my costs. Use with CARE. I am a seasoned online shopper and I am aware that sometimes things go wrong but Quality Garden Supplies have made no effort to amend the error of theirs. The turf was on sat , 5 days late and the condition of it was not very flash.
