DO NOT SELL THROUGH REVERB!!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR MONEY. I gave them a star because Negative stars aren't an option. I wondered why a lot of the gear seemed overpriced but after selling a horn I now know that it's because reverb holds your money for a very long time. When I contacted them the guy I spoke with was not friendly and told me that I might get my money in another 48 hours. They have had the payment over a week and the buyer has had the instrument for 5 days. They just figured out how to get the selling fees and what would be the PayPal fees and then hold onto the money for a while. Go back to ebay where you get your money before some guy across the country has an opportunity to sell your merchandise before you even get your payment.

Been a member for eight years and I actually never had a bad experience with either a seller or a buyer. My gripe is with the company Reverb (ETSY) itself and the changes to how sellers are paid. I find it unprofessional and ridiculous that a buyer pays immediately and it takes almost a week for a seller to receive their funds. Please bring back PayPal! Plus the sellers fees have almost doubled since new ownership took over. The (new) Reverb is a totally different company, very unprofessional, absolutely useless customer service, and very slow to pay you your money. It’s too bad the new owners didn’t take advantage of improving the platform. Instead they ruined something that was already good enough.

Live on Long Island- Bought cymbals beginning of July 2021 - tried them out - wanted to return them. First Seller states, I might not be the Seller (yet I have the Receipt, in the box, with name & receipt. 1st customer svce rep (rating 1) offered Me $25 fir inconvenience. 2d Rep smarter Re helping me (but offered inly $50); Called My credit card company, put it in dispute - July 20, Reverb, all of a Sudden, refunded Me. Next - returned cymbals via priority; got a message from reverb - saying - Seller said to keep cymbals (these were about $600)- I responded to rep - I keep My word & just jarmically - glad they were out of My house - also- if this was Ebay or Amazon, this Seller would be removed & be banned from Selling forca ling time. My prediction, was if I hadn’t returned them, Seller would then wNt them back: Best comment from Seller, ‘I’m not a store & cannot afford to take them back’; Reverb stated, We are allowing Seller, to stay on Reverb. This is business- musicians want to try out & return. What is this dysfunction??! BBB has about 150 complaints about Reverb & Seller Ratings also & a few others - poor poor customer service. Whoever is in charge, if this was elementary school & I was the teacher/principal (like they’re 19-15yrsvv CB old- I want to call their parents - sad but true. Bottom line: it’s a dysfunctional Sellers World there!! 3athings I came away with are: be careful when buying; contact Your credit card company-Re refunds & for those in NY - there’s a law that states- Yiu can return anything - YES anythw/in 30 DAYS- again - Your credit card company will definitely be Your best friend, in a ‘Reverb’ return situation

If you want to sell something on the reverb website and you make an honest mistake on your listing, it gets suspended. The website has no mechanism for removing it, so you are stuck until someone at the company decides to help you. The process isn't complicated, you simply make the correction on the offending listing, notify them, then wait, wait, wait........silence......... In the mean time, your listings with the mistakes remain in your account with no way to get rid of them and potential buyers look elsewhere. The site is great otherwise.

Reverb are a devious and unscrupulous company. They try every way to avoid paying the money they owe you. Customer service is awful - they wouldn't know how to navigate themselves out of a cul-de-sac. Absolutely terrible business practice.

The people who sell on Reverb don't even stock what they sell, you see a AD for something you want and then AD says oh we have 8 or 10 item's in stock in reality they don't have anything in stock. The sellers just want you to put your order in so they can get your money. And put your on a waiting list till they get the item in stock. I waited 10 weeks to get a guitar cab when i was told they had 3 in stock.

Absolute trash. Seller didn't send item. Reverb spent over a week stalling and promising they would sort out a refund. Of course, they had no intention of doing any such thing. Crooks, avoid at all costs

Reverb used to be well operated. The founder sold it. Since then, it’s gone down hill dramatically. i’ve been a customer since the very beginning and they no longer value customers. They completely disabled telephone and after hours support and it’s nearly impossible to get anything more than a return email or a char session. The chat sessions are condescending and patronizing and they do not resolve issues very well. Their billing is screwed up and they do not send invoices. Rather, they just suspend accounts. It keeps getting worse all the time.

I HATE ETSY No customer service. They ended dozens of my listing. Reverb customer service locks out account for review for no reason. Stay away from REVERB.

Bought a $3000 new model ESP guitar from this site as I had many other items. The item was listed as a pre-order and when I asked the seller when it’d be available he says April. I thought ok, I’m ok if it’s a week or two late in a worst case scenario. Fast forward.. one week into May I ask where’s my guitar? Took the seller a while to respond but says guitar is coming soon.. I kept asking and now it’s getting to July and no answer from the seller.. I ask the seller for a refund.. no response. I contact Reverb thinking this is pretty straight forward - buyer ghosted me, nothing received or shipped. But no - they tell me they’ll send an email to the buyer - and “you’ll get your refund .. soon”. What?! So I give it their 4 days or whatever BS is in their buyer protection policy and hear nothing.. contact a second person about the same issue.. he says “I’ll deal with this right now so sorry”. 2 days pass.. nothing! I send an additional email being very blatant about wanting my refund back. Still nothing back. Total trash bag customer service and if you can shop elsewhere for large orders like this, I highly recommend you do so! I don’t know if I’ll get my money back but when I do, it’ll be spent elsewhere. Terrible experience.

I purchased a guitar through Reverb but Reverb forced the seller to increase the price after I’d already paid through impost of mandatory shipping insurance (inflated the cost by an extra $300 according to the seller). I was unwilling to pay so the contract for sale was cancelled. Then, when Reverb refunded the money I paid to purchase the guitar I got back over $100 less than I paid. I have gone through their “misnamed” customer support process and the issue remains unresolved and I’m still out of pocket by over $100. If buying through Reverb, be prepared to be disappointed when Reverb causes your purchase to be cancelled then fail to return all the money you spent. You won’t get the guitar your bought nor will you get all the money back you paid. Very, very BAD business to deal with!

tried to buy guitar, made slight error in card details, payment failed to process, after contacting my card issuer corrected details as per reverb customer service advice, payment still did not process, someone else then bought the guitar. reverb's customer advice was useless. a lot of time and frustration spent between them and my bank for no reward. wouldn't deal with them again in a million years.

I ordered an instrument from Reverb billed as "mint condition" and hard shell case. It arrived with old rusty strings, the nut had came off and it was not in a hard shell case, rather a cloth wrapped cardboard box. I took it to a Luther to have it inspected and was told the neck was bowed $150 to repair, the top was warped and the sound hole had a large dent. The sales rep told me these things happen in shipping...m this was not a shipping issue, I can tell a horrible instrument when I see one. They refused to let me return it. I will NEVER deal with Reverb again, being this was my first purchase from them and a test to see what their service department was like. I lost $250 dollars to this poor excuse of a company, a small drop in the bucket as I purchase alot of equipment on a regular basis. Buyers beware...Reverb Sucks.

No customer service. If you need any assistance, first you waste like half an hour searching for any contact in vain. They recommend the chat dozens of times in their help pages, but obviously there is no chat, neither any clear explanation whether it's available only in office hours, or has been suspended. They just try every nasty trick to avoid giving support to customers. I guess it's a nice boost for their profit but a huge waste of time for customers.

Denied deal at promised price. Reverb seems to allow this. Beware I placed an order for a used guitar (mint condition) from Sam Ash listed on reverb minutes after chatting directly with Sam Ash. Note this was the only such used guitar from Sam Ash listed. Next day I see my payment was denied. They said someone already bought the guitar hours before I placed the order. But then I saw the listing was also removed. Couple of days later the same guitar was listed again on reverb at an increased price. Basically this is denying a deal for a promised price. Why should anyone trust the marketplace on reverb. Very unprofessional dealing

All those trusting musicians out there:  Stay away from Reverb.  Do not support them.  You will lose.  If you desire to feel helpless, furious, unfairly treated and the like, post an ad on Reverb and get ready to donate a lot of the cash you get from a Buyer to Reverb.  Absolutely the worst business I have dealt with in 30 years.   Ebay looks profoundly trustworthy, albeit thieves themselves.

I sold my guitar on reverb and after I paid for the box and packing at ups I was told by the post office that they tried to use a cheaper shipping label hoping that no one would notice. This is very shady practice on Reverb's behalf. It costed me over 100 dollars to bump my guitar and packing materials, now the consumer is out of their money until the refund shows up in their bank account.. creating a bad reputation for me when reverb was at fault. This is the worst business practice I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. And the part that really pisses me off the most is that you can’t even contact reverb whatsoever. They are ghosts. Wow.
