Item arrived damaged, obviously not been properly checked before despatch,it didn't happen in transit as the part was protected by the top and sides of table. No excuse for this,and contacting Customer Service is a joke. Will not use again Carriers you use are also rubbish,you book a time and date for return and they don't turn up,and this is nothing to do with the current situation,by reviews on Trust Pilot this has been going on a long time.

I have been trying to return a damaged item for nearly 3 weeks now....... I am still waiting for the couriers to contact me and cannot get a refund until they collect it. I have chased this request many times and getting no where.....

I ordered 3 items. First two items arrived, a week apart, then problems with their courier meant the largest item never arrived. I’m local to the company and yet the items were delivered separately, which is hardly efficient at a time when there’s a shortage of delivery drivers. It was sometime before Roseland would acknowledge that the 3rd item was lost, by which time it was out of stock. I waited and waited, heard nothing so chased it again, to be told that yes, it was back in stock, they just hadn’t got round to sending it to me, even though they were paid in full when the order was placed. Charming words in emails do not make up for lack of action and inefficiency. The furniture is ok-ish. The drawers in the bedside cabinets are very loosely fitted, as a result there are very noticeable gaps.

Waited a long time as item was out of stock. Got sent to courier who can not confirm receipt from Roseland. She asked me to contact Roseland. Roseland promised to investigate. Next thing I know Tufnell arrived with goods two minutes after I got home without prior notification. That is terrible.

Hello Ime Ifon, We apologise for the confusion on the delivery, Tuffnells were the carrier on this , unfortunately the contact you made at MXL would not have had the information you required as they were not due to deliver to you. Mxl are the warehouse that Tuffnells collect from in this case. This would be why you would have been referred back to us here at Roseland, we are sorry if this did not meet expectations this time. I haven’t received my chest of drawers yet - Roseland furniture said it had been dispatched but the delivery company said they hadn’t received it. Presumably one wasn’t telling the truth. The delivery now fortunately has been arranged for next week but either way it wasn’t within the promised time frame, and I had planned for my brother-in-law to be here for the delivery to help move it and now he won’t be. I don’t really want to be shifting the drawers at 4 months pregnant but I guess that’s what I’ll be doing. Hopefully the furniture itself is actually worth it.

The product is good. If you order a bed and mattress, they come separately (two deliveries) which is painful. You have to arrange to be in twice, for one order. The mattress was damaged and various people in customer service gave conflicting information. I wanted a mattress exchange, with delivery and collection at the same time. This couldn’t be done. So I had the damaged mattress in my hallway for two weeks. They collected the damaged mattress when the bed frame was delivered. Upon unpacking the frame, it was damaged at one end. However, as this had gone on and on, I fixed it myself as it was a bracket on the underside of the bed. In summary, good product for the price, easy to use website. Below average deliveries. Poorly trained and co-ordinated CS.

Hello Stephen Law, We are happy you like the items, we are sorry about the confusion on deliveries, bed frames do come from our warehouse whereas the mattresses are sent direct from our supplier hence 2 different deliveries. The items are good but they sent two lots in error (there’s not mine). I’m now having to store the other items that are large and waiting to know when they will collect. It’s been over a week!! Might start charging storage. Customer services was good initially but have not heard anything for a week. This not very good.

Thank you for your review. I can see that you placed two orders through our website, order numbers ROSELAND201198 and ROSELAND200725. One order was placed on 7.8.21 and the other on 10.8.21. Therefore we dispatched two orders. If you could update the review to reflect that, this was not our error then it would be very much appreciated. I can see that we have booked a collection with the couriers for a refund of the additional order that was placed in error. Cannot say wether the furniture was any good as we never got it. Roseland may well be a good company, but they have chosen to align themselves with a terribly inept delivery company. Don't hold your breath if you're waiting for them to deliver.

After sales , delivery and packing very good, product poorly finished didn’t appear to be adequately quality control checked ,2 sideboards ( second a replacement) both had same issues of cracked paint on drawers and a general poor finish

The bookcase was fine but the delivery company was terrible the told me on 2 occasions that they would arrive so I wasted 2 days waiting for them they then turned up on a day I was not prepared for them

They sent me two pieces that were incompatible with each other, and then sent me a replacement that was in several pieces and broken. The third set they sent is fine

I have previously purchased furniture from Roseland, which was of high quality. I order a set of drawers and when unpacked noticed that the wood on the top was not of the same quality as the drawers previously ordered. As you will see from photographs the wood on top has not been assembled correctly. At the front it should be flush but two pieces of wood have been placed at either end so their rough ends are at front. I spoke with one of your colleagues who advised the following: Medullary Rays are sheets or ribbons extending vertically through the tree perpendicular to the growth rings. Most hardwoods (but not softwoods) have ribbons of 'parenchyma' cells that carry nutrients laterally through the bole. Technically, to be entirely correct, Medullary rays are those rays that start at the pith of a tree and go outwards, but in normal use the term refers to all rays whether or not they start at the pith. In some woods such as oak and lace wood the rays are very pronounced and in other woods they are barely discernible. They are what cause the "ray flake" figure in quarter-sawn planks. Medullary rays often produce the beautiful "figure" such as silver grain, Medullary spots, pith flecks, etc. This is not medullary rays it is about poor craftsmanship. You can actually feel roughness of the wood end. Other pieces of Roseland furniture I have do not have this issue. The delivery and arrangements for collection have not been an issue. It is being collected on 9th August.

Dear Colin Stebbing. I am sorry you were not satisfied with your item this time. I can see that my colleague has arranged for a collection on this item for you scheduled for today. Looking at the photo's you have sent us there is very heavy graining on one side and the "yellow ribbons" on the other side are indeed medullary rays, unfortunately they are not always "pretty" or enhancing. There is some excellent information on the webpages on these. I will say that the ones on the item you received were more splodges than ribbons, we understand that some customers do not like these. It is a natural phenomena that occurs in hardwoods like Oak. kind regards Roseland

I was very disappointed with the delivery. The bookcase was left on the drive in it’s packaging. Once unpacked it took two people to carry it indoors and position it. I wonder what I’d have done if I hadn’t had a friend visiting to help me. It should be made clear that delivery is to the doorstep with no unpacking carried out. I guess I’m used to John Lewis service! Elements of the construction of the bookcase are quite basis, I would have expected a little more refinement considering the cost. The shelves are screwed in place, I assume for transport. They were difficult to remove. Also the predrilled holes to reposition the shelf supports were too small and had to be carefully enlarged with a drill.

Extremely disappointed in the service received from this company. I ordered a side table and small sideboard at the same time. The side table came first which was OK but a little small and arranged an exchange which went through OK, however when I received the exchange item (this came before the sideboard) it was damaged. We were offered £50 or an exchange but the delivery service we received was so shocking we decided to take the money. They said they would be in contact for collection of the side table and that did not happen for 2 weeks. Our sideboard was due to be delivered 5 days before it came with tracking not working and the only response I got was "let me know if it comes today" not acceptable. I would strongly suggest looking somewhere else for your furniture.

We can also see that my colleague asked for confirmation and we have not had this from you just yet. Unfortunately we cannot always see the tracking if the carrier systems are not working.
