I ordered two bedside tables via their website and they were both delivered damaged. I provided Roseland with photos of the damaged items and they offered a replacement. They were very quick to pick up the damaged items but only delivered one of the replacement items the following week. And for a period of one week, they kept saying the second item would be delivered 'tomorrow' but it never happened. They kept blaming DPD but DPD assured me that Roseland had only requested one replacement. I raised a complaint and they agreed to issue a refund but no consideration was given to the distress and inconvenience caused to me such as having to re-pack the damaged items, stay home waiting for them to pick them up, make myself available again on a different day only for them to deliver one replacement item and then stay at home again for them to pick up the single item they delivered. Despite spending time detailing my complaint and the unnecessary stress and inconvenience they caused me, Lesley refused to consider any compensation for that. Her responses to my complaint showed a complete lack of care and understanding. Items shouldn’t be delivered damaged, so the mere fact that they were causes unnecessary distress and inconvenience because the consumer has to go through efforts which are above and beyond what’s expected from a typical purchase in order to put things right but they didn’t seem to be able to grasp this concept. Worryingly, Lesley also confirmed that Roseland aren’t part of the Furniture Ombudsman so there’s no dispute resolution scheme consumers can go to have recourse to justice. I won’t be purchasing from Roseland ever again and instead I’ll use a furniture shop that is part of a dispute resolution scheme so that in case something goes wrong I can be treated fairly and compensated appropriately.

My furniture never arrived. I have contacted customer services over ten times by phone and email and I have been told it has been lost and reordered, three times. This is a disgrace. Theft, in fact. Will be contacting a selection of consumer whatchdog programmes to explore whether this issue is endemic with this company and if you are taking money from other people without delivering. It will soon be the end of the summer with no sign of the summer furniture. What a shame.

Ordered furniture set 19/07. Site says delivery 3 to 5 days … received 27/07. It was delivered by guys who didn’t seem to care that one of the boxes was falling apart and continued to squeeze through garden gate. All 6 chairs were damaged and the table. 3 of the chairs looked like they had literally been thrown around! Roseland a response was very matter of fact. 10% discount was offered if wanted to keep and that’s it … a total insult. Then we had to arrange collection and I had to pack up and label all furniture in good order. Collected and refund finally landed 09/08. Service overall awful.

Our initial response is to offer a partial refund o keep items. However, we do have several options if you are not happy with the initial offer. Easy to order on line but I've had to call 6 times to chase my order up. Each call was a different csa who were all very nice , but no one emailed me or called me bk to update me as promised . I've had to chase my own order from the delivery company myself . I actually believe if I hadn't I still would be waiting on my order !! .... As it turns out my order will be arriving tomorrow , too late now so I will be cancelling it... Wish I'd stuck to Amazon Prime .at least I'd know it would be on time . Definitely won't be buying from this company again . Hopefully as all calls are recorded they can improve on thier service

You need to use a different delivery company- they arrived in a battered white dirty van, very unprofessional- screeched to a halt, didn’t speak more or less chucked furniture in the hall and sped away. Also quality of furniture very poor- arrived with scratches, dents and uneven bumpy wood used

Was really disappointed with the quality. Anything you cannot see is worst quality we have ever bought. Thought we were buying oak.

Very poor. I ordered two six drawer oak chests of drawers. They are very cheaply put together. The drawers don't fit properly, there are big gaps round the sides and the drawers don't push back in fully so they are not flush with the front of the chests. The stain on one of the drawers is patchy, and on the other chest different colours of wood have been used. I have been in touch with the company who say these can be returned for a refund, but I have to send them photographic proof of the problems before they can arrange this and the service seemed deliberately unhelpful. Delivery wasn't good, so I can't imagine returning is going to be easy. The delivery van couldn't come down our drive, and the driver said he wasn't allowed to trolley the furniture to the front door. We had to do it ourselves - good job we own a porters trolley. We took photos of the badly damaged packaging, but fortunately the furniture underneath had not been damaged. Communication with Roseland has been difficult, as quite often the given phone number either rings out or cuts off. It doesn't fill me with confidence and I won't be using this company again.

Don't buy from them! All furniture is shipped in from Vietnam with sub standard packaging. I bought white painted bedroom furniture, many yellow marks due to not sealing wood knots. Wooden feet with splits in the wood, dents and chips in the wood with warped wood. Told customer services and I was offered £100 back or I was to repackage and send back which wasn't an option. I asked them to cover the cost of the Farrow and Ball small Paint pot at £29 for the touch ups to the furniture. I was told the £100 offered was for me to use to get the furniture repairs, take it or leave it and send back. Appalling customer service and poorly made furniture, don't buy from them.

I tried to buy some furniture from you. On the day of my order you emailed that it had been dispatched and you took my payment. After 6 days waiting I messaged you to ask when it would be delivered. You failed to give me a delivery date. I tried again the next day and you again failed to give me a delivery date. I phoned you and the person on the phone was unable to give me a delivery date. She offered to cancel the order. I explained that as I was about to go on holiday, I would reluctantly have to request the cancellation. She agreed to cancel it. Since then I have heard nothing from your company. No apology and more importantly, no refund of my payment. I am not impressed by your non existent Customer Service. In fact I have been incredibly saddened by the whole experience. Please sort yourselves out. David Parson

I received my second delivery of the Cheltenham blue sideboard. The first was returned for damage. The second is also damaged. Customer service was very good however and quickly sorted for me. I’m left with a problem though as don’t want to return again. Its such a shame as it’s a beautiful piece.

Ordered bed 13/06, stated 3-5 days delivery. Contacted Roseland 22/06 as still no delivery date. Customer service investigated, item lost in delivery depot. Agreed to order another and to use different carrier. Was promised item to be delivered by 30/06. No further communication, via email/phone confirming this. Contacted Roseland 28/06 as heard nothing. Customer service very poor. Basically said they had done what they said they would do and could do no more. Not even an apology and very much ‘I dont care’ attitude. Very disappointed as wanted to buy local and initial contact in store had been good Unable to review actual item as we have never received it.

Really poor so far. Delivery stated 3-5 working days and I have still not received my item over 2 weeks later despite it saying it was despatched nearly 2 weeks ago.
