I wish I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS.... I've had it with royal mail... they are THE WORST postal and delivery service in the UK... every other delivery service physically bring your items to the door and are courteous enough to see if you're home... most will send you an email or text before hand letting you know a decent approximation of the time you need to be home.... Royal mail take 4 times as long to deliver anything AND ALMOST ALL OF THE TIME THEY DONT DELIVER AT ALL...EXCEPT A PRE-PREPARED RED SLIP at the sorting office, making us, the customers, do TWO THIRDS OF THEIR JOBS FOR THEM!!! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKINGLY BAD SERVICE.... It's easy to blame covid...but every other delivery service have provided this year...and in most cases delivered items well in advance of any suggested delivery date or time. Royal Mail took 8 weeks to deliver something 62 miles aways and 7 weeks to deliver something only 36 miles away... if that's not shocking i don't know what is?

Royal mail 48hr, what a joke, track your item even worse. Item posted a week ago, no update in the system until 6 days later, then when updated still only a few miles from sender, when will I get it, haven't a clue, neither have they. Amazon usually within 24 hours or less. Hermes/Yodel/DPD tracking very good, Snail Mail is just a joke.

they give up tracking number that you cant use till after the item has been delivered pretty pointless why would any waste their time and money on them other delivery ( comps ) options seem easier and better to track

Royal Mail is a complete joke, For a company this old it’s pathetic ,what a complete embarrassment to the royal family . Track an item may as well not be there at all. They should focus on delivering more than trying to get to grips with technology ,after all the years that the Royal Mail have been around you would think by now they could deliver a parcel or letter on time .track an item is a complete joke with Royal Mail .the item is either stuck at we have your parcel or the parcel has been delivered and showing on Royal Mail track as being accepted at the post office .wow you just can’t stop thinking how pathetic they are .

First class signed for still not delivered one week on. Tracking shows it hasn’t moved from the PO I posted it at!?????

Packages dispatched on 1st and 3rd December still not delivered by 16th. Last week postman knocked and said 'sorry, no letters today as I could not manage any on top of the parcels, so they are still at sorting office'. When small businesses who depend on posting goods (especially time-sensitive ones such as personalised cake decorations) are struggling to survive, how dare Royal Mail expect people to pay for such an abysmal service?

Royal Mail are consistently the worst courier.. they are always late.. tracking is irrelevant as it tells you nothing until it’s delivered but by then you know you have received it!!! When you have a problem it seems to me to be a Royal Mail policy for staff to LIE to you as it can’t be a coincidence that every time I contact them it turns out what I’ve been told is untrue!.. if I could leave a zero rating I would!!!!

Delivery service by royal mail is abysmally slow with really poor tracking information. Time they shaped up or ship out and let a real courier company take their place

Awful. Can't get through to customer service don't answer emails. Say they've delivered and the time on tracking they didn't I was in . No proof they've delivered. Can't believe it is still called Royal Mail

Absolutely useless, sell a guarantee 9AM delivery but guarantee it for 11AM, its now 18:00. 7 hours late and still not out for delivery. I have no confidence these will even be delivered tomorrow. I will not use Royal Mail ever again and if your reading this suggest you dont either...... All other delivery companies operating as normal

Sent an item Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, two days later it is still in Chelmsford, 15 miles in 48 hours! It has to go to Birmingham so based on that it should arrive at the same time as Father Christmas. Still quite happy to charge £8.80 for a small parcel though. Goes from bad to worse.

Can you tell me, the reasoning in to why deliveries are so late. Are you saying it's Covid ? All other mainstream delivery companies are delivering on time and great service ! Covid has been with us, for the best part of the whole year, and you have had time, to draught up your battle plans for Christmas. An important time for people to be cheered up, with getting card's and parcels, in which, all are being disappointed, well most off ! Try planning better, as everyone and anyone just tell consumer's, " sorry due to Covid ", bla bla !!

Appalling service! Supplier passed my goods to Royal Mail on 24 November with expected delivery 26 November (48 hour service). Goods have finally arrived today, 15 December, that's 19 days late. My item only became visible on track and trace on 11 December when it was scanned for the first time. I will never again order from a company that uses Royal Mail to deliver parcels.

Paid for 48 hour delivery, was due for delivery on Friday at 9:30 and it’s now Tuesday and still nothing, the interactive website tells me nothing except to wait for 10 days after the expected delivery day before putting in for a claim haha, but they’re still offering 48 hour delivery as a service, hopefully the future has someone better in mind that can put a parcel through a door letter box

If I could no stars i would. They lost my recently bereaved brothers Xmas present last year and auctioned it off I didnt even get my postage costs and this year they've lost my sons Xmas present that never arrived this is on top on mail that is constantly late. How hard can it be?!

the worst delivery company. ordered something and was told it will be delivered on the 8th of December and its now the 14th of December. meanwhile the order I made before hand that was due to come on the 7th of December did not come until the 11th of December. I am so annoyed as the item is a gift and now it very very late. Hermes and amazon are relatively new in this and they are doing very well compared to you guys. AND YOU GUYS ARE MORE THAN 500 YEARS OLD!!! im so annoyed.
