“England - Royal Mail Workers. You still have our package it’s been since the beginning of December. We paid extra in customs and taxes and shipping fees. Why are you holding on to the package? Why haven’t you delivered it? Why did my receiver have to pay money to pick up thier package up last year? What is going on? Is their no accountability? They don’t live on the top of Everest, nor do they live in the remote parts of the rainforest, but they live in Belfast. Is that a difficult place to deliver to? I mean wtf is going on there?
I know Royal Mail has educated individuals so what’s the problem with delivering packages, why are you holding on to the package in England when it shoulda gone to Northern Ireland?”
“Why cannot Royal Mail update its tracking system & accountability mechanism so that I can get contact with the deliveryman who actually screwed it up and figure out what was going on?”
“Royal Mail is a joke, you have no way to contact them other then send a complaint which gets binned, the phone service is useless, 60mins on hold.
Still waiting on my Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed 1pm > it's now Day 4.”
“Horrible mail service!! I never received my item from the U.K. Thanks to Royal Mail it screwed up my Christmas because I needed the item for Christmas. Never again!”
“So I ordered an item from overseas and had to pay a customs fee which I did and arranged for the parcel to be delivered on January 10th but the parcel failed to arrive on that day.”
“I also would give no stars if this was possible. This is the second I have with Royal Mail. My first issue was an item showed on tracking as being delivered when it was not and there was no calling card through the door. I spent an hour on hold before getting through to Royal Mail to resolve the issue, the next issue however is that I have not revceived my item. I ordered for next day delivery on Monday and was told by the seller the item would be guaranteed delivery on Tuesday however no parcel received yesterday, it showed on tracking an apology that it had been delivered to the wrong depo, it showed my parcel should arrive by 1pm today but it did not. I telephoned Royal Mail and I was put on hold for 45mins with no resolution they told me my parcel might come today or it might not and I could put in complaint but they are unable to say when my parcel will arrive but advised I wait in another 4hours as it should arrive before 6pm it’s now 6pm and no parcel and I’ve been trying to call them since 5pm...and still no answer for Royal Mail. I was told earlier they made a mistake and it should come before 6pm.. I have waited in now for 48hours and now my call has been disconnected as Royal Mail are convientently shut after having me on hold for nearly an hour!!”
“Don’t bother paying the extra for signatures as they just don’t bother getting them!
I am sick of Royal Mail costing me money due to their lack of effort and total disregard of their customers!!”
“Over the Christmas period no less than four deliveries of mine have gone missing thanks to Royal mail. What angers me even more is the fact they take no responsibility for any of it... yet when I contacted Amazon they not only reimbursed me, they even gave me an extension on my Prime account for FREE... if they can do this when it's NOT even their fault, why does the Royal Mail get off scot free with not so much as an apology? Bunch of thieving, conning liars! I'll never order anything again if the sender relies on these tossers.”
“For about 2 months now, most of our mail has arrived late. 1st class in 1-3 days? Try 7-8. And no accountability either. You try and complain and they'll simply tell you there's nothing to complain about unless deliveries are more than 10 days late. They might as well state their 1st class delivery time as 10 days and be done with it.”
“Vary poor Comms. Txt saying delivery due that day. Online tracking saying pending. Held at the request of recipient - not so. Another day wasted to Royal mail. Everyone else seems to be upping their game. Not RM”
“When I order something online and see that 1st class shipping is provided (this is domestic btw), I do have a glimmer of hope when they say it can arrive the next working day. Oh how wrong i am... five days in no sign of one f%$#^&^% letter is it so hard?????”
“Had a very important envelope which had to get to the recipient on the 2nd January. Paid for "guaranteed next working day before 1pm" service at 11.30am 31st December.
Didn't arrive 2nd January. Eventually turned up 3rd January by which time alternative arrangements had to be made which cost over £100 plus a 250 mile journey taking up another valuable day and fuel/ car costs.
All we get in compensation is cost of postage £6.50! Just shocking! What is the guarantee worth?”
“IT should be renamed Junk Mail Inc. as the vast majority of stuff that is posted through my box is unsolicited bulk, junk mail. POsty says they are all told by their manangers to deliver and ignore "addressed mail only " signs.
And yet, paradoxically, the onus is on "moi" to opt out...I never opted in. So RM automatically have a right to profit from my address and I get no say on what comes through my mail box.
Iver since taken to sticking all their junk mail back in their red boxes. See how they like it when they can't find anything themselves due to the abundance of junk mail.
So RM are making money from our addresses and giving us nothing except unwanted mail.
Finally I used them before Christmas to send a few things...posted on the 15th Dec. No one got them. Will they ever turn up? Who knows? Didn't wait that long for their agent to answer (about 10 mins) on the dog and bone. Will I receieve compenstaion? Hardly. Have they been nicked? More than likely.
It's a third world, third rate service. I going to use other carriers from here on out. The phone staff are often rude.”
“It's unacceptable to fail getting a singniture or deliver in bulk when a "sign for" delivery is expected.
More than that is unacceptable for Royal Mail to lose the correspondence after it was successfully collected from the Post Office.
It's a good thing you only handle correspondence and not more important things or well all be in big trouble.
You're betraying customer trust when you're not providing the service that he paid for.
Only 1 star this year for lacking professionalism.”
“If you intend to send anything more valuable or important than say, a square of used toiled roll, i would implore you to find an alternative carrier.
For the last two months i have been attempting to re-mortgage my house and the Royal Mail have lost 75% of all the correspondence between me and the building society, as a result of such I'm going to end up losing hundreds, if not thousands of pounds.
I am truly gobsmacked at their incompetence, if it was any other business that didn't have such a captive market they would not exist. There is absolutely no repercussion for there extreme, excessive...immeasurable incompetence they just keep on chugging away. I can only assume that they have introduced a cost saving measure where 3 out of 4 letters get sent straight to landfill.
In summation, thanks Royal Mail, you are truly the worst service i have attempted to use in my life and i hope someday it all catches up with you and you go under like you so massively deserve to you absolute shower of cowboys.”
“Can't remember the last time you delivered on the estimated delivery day you must think we have all day after day to sit in waiting for our parcels WHY do people use this atrocious service”
“The 739 system belongs in the last century ! ...If i stick to companies using Hermes and i miss a delivery ,then i ring the girl on her mobile and it is delivered the next time she is in the area ...with Royal Mail ,you have to go down the sorting office or arrange a different delivery day ....and it is unpredictable when they will arrive ...so a lost day ,sitting at home waiting .
The world had changed since the 739 system was introduced , we are increasing pollution ,wasting time and telephone calls ...sticking with this antiquated system.
I prefer to order from a company a company that ...doesnt...use Royal Mail !”
