I was expecting my parcel today between 9:12am and 1:12pm from the text message received and its now 4:24pm and still no parcel when I tried to call to find out what was going on there is no contact number and the online messaging service is no good what so ever this has put me off using the Royal mail or any company who use them for deliveries no customer service what so ever they only care about getting paid.

I paid for 24h delivery and local drop point refuse it , finally my parcel returned to the sender . Then they wrote mail to my : "I would like to respectfully advise you that I’m unable to help you as Post Office Ltd® enquiries are handled by their own customer service team" UNBELIEVABLE IGNORANCE Everyone should avoid Post Office as a plague!!

I was just making a simple polite enquiry and was spoken to like I was 5 years old and very rude kept interrupting me not giving me a chance to explain the problem.

A 3 month fissco, American friend ex-US Fighter Pilot seved here in WW2 visiting UK on short nostalgia trip with fellow comrades purchases a gift fot me in Oxford before moving on to Bury St Edmonds. We couldn't meet up as we were 8hrs round trip away and he had to leave mid-day to get flight back to USA. Didn’t have time to find PO so took it home and posted it to me from California in plenty of time for it to arrive before Christmas. Royal got it couldn’t distinguish the address As it got damaged on area where it was written and in their infinite wisdome sent it on to Canada. After a couple of months thinking it was lost, it turned up back in the USA and he said that he’d post it again. Great stuff I thought until I get a ticket fron RM saying that they have it but I need to psy them £15.91 to get it from them. Customs want £7.91 import tax and ss a result RM add anothe £8 handling charge! What!! Are they sll having a laugh? The package was pisted paid for to be delivered to my house so why add insult to injury. As for important tax/duty on original UK purchase is a joke! Now try getting in touch with RM. no one answers the phone not even out of peak hours, so forced down the email route which they claim to reply within in 3 working days still isn’t replied to 8 days later! I wouldn’t give them one star for their total disregard to their customers. When you need to speak with someone to explain complicated issues like this you shouldn’t be so badly ignored RM staff (Guy on the desk), at the Sorting office says there is a sticker stuck over the customs declaration and so therefore cannot tell me what contents are stated to be inside it. Wouldn’t even show me the package! I dont know whats been sent as its a surprise- Lucky dip or what!!

Absolutely disgraceful customer services!! Cant get through by phone, hanging on the line for 45mins even outside of peak time, I might add! Costing min 5p per min + calles several times hung up in frustration of not being answered by a human being. Just Constant referral to their website. So I contacted by email, which they say they’ll reply in 3 working days! What a joke, as I write this review its been 8 days and still no reply. At the dorting office I adked the operative if there was anyone in authority I couls speak with. He said thats me! He couldn’t answer any of my questions, literally just shredded his shoulders at my questions and referred me to the customer services department with the same number I repeatedly call that no one is picking up. What’s happening in our society where anyone in business literally doesn't want to speak with their customers. There should be some form of legislation against these big organisations that make it difficult or damn near impossible to speak to a member of staff. After all not every issue is covered by Q&A on a website. Some things require a person to sort things out! Customer Service isn’t a term RM should be titled because basically there isn’t any!! Angry & frustrated, Coventry.

Lets start with your machinery... its fantatic…..it can open a parcel take contents out reseal it and post it on its way to be delivered a month after it was stamped at a post office.....and I have it in writing(email)that it was the machine than done this....Not the fact that Item enclosed was STOLEN by one of your employee's.I am the person who received this package and I am disgusted with your poor lame excuse. You have tried to palm my Daughter in law of with this but we do not except it.I still have packaging in my home and believe we will be taking this further.I understand parcels and letters get lost in post but for it to be delivered and contents removed by your employee (s) amd your reason for it is not acceptable. If I could of rated 0 stars I would of.

It becomes very unpleasant experience when you try to talk with their Administration (Customer Service, Business dept, etc. departments). We haven't seen such unprofessional attitude in nearly any other company. Delivery and pricing are otherwise an overall great service.

I live in a third floor flat with a lift. I am in a wheelchair and use of one arm only. Since I moved here the postman. Has always brought packages that don’t fit in communial letter boxes in to the eight individual flats. Last week he rang my bell and asked me to go down the three floors to sign for and pick up three packages. I explained it was difficult and would he bring it up. He was showing a new postlady the round and they used the stairs. I was waiting with my door open and heard them discussing the situation. The postman told the lady although it was not normally done it was a difficult situation and they had to be a little bit understanding. When they reached my door I then told him it was difficult for me to go down to him. In fact he would have had to wait at least three minutes before I could get myself down. He told me he was no insured to come in the building and the letter box wad his point of delivery but if my letter box was in my front door he would bring it up! His training paid off as this last week the new post lady bent a large thick envelope in half and pushed it in the letter box, ripping the envelope and spoiling the contents in the process. On another day she gained access and left a box on the floor in the commial hall where anyone could have taken it. The other postman have always brought things like that to my door and all the other flats. Guess Royal Mail not disability friendly!

If I could give them no stars I would. My father ordered an item online, it was an expensive item and the Royal Mail postman delivered a note a few days ago stating that the item needs to be collected and it’s at the local Royal Mail depot. My father went to collect it today and the manager there said they don’t have it and they can’t find it (despite the postman stating it’s at the depot). It is possible someone just stole the item which is a shame. And nobody will do anything about it and nobody will be held respsonsible. Unhelpful staff, terrible service, there are no regulations on how to deal with such problems. I’d avoid Royal Mail at all costs if I could. If something serious like this were to happen in a more rigorously controlled government service like the NHS, there would be lawsuits and those responsible would be prosecuted. Stealing is not acceptable at any cost. The Royal Mail needs fixing ASAP

This is by far one of the most carriers for International shipping, I lost a lot of money and time because of their terrible service. You pay extra cash with the hopes that they will take extra care but that does not happen. As soon as your parcel leaves the UK is based on luck if it ia going to be delivered or not...honestly.

First class signed for parcel not delivered after 7 days, Non existent customer service, waiting on phone for 30 minutes, frustrating and anxious experience. Sent a special delivery item also earlier this month, arrived 1 day late, royal mails services these days is very poor, use them if you want a massive amount of stress and anxiety, otherwise use a fully tracked courier service like dpd or hermes.

I tracked my parcel online showed delivered but I didn’t get it and no card was left. They send letter to apologise can’t do anything as the system shows delivered and person who delivered didn’t recall. I appreciate that but still I didn’t get it

Hardly any of my deliveries to the US turned up in October, which led to me having to make loads of refunds, and then to top it all this led to bad reviews and therefore badly affected my sales. I wrote to the Royal Mail in December and they didn’t even reply, how rude. The other day I started the claim process, but I only managed one, as it took 1/2 hour, just not worth it, and that’s where it’s all wrong. I want an explanation, an apology and compensation - not to be ignored

Is this the procedure for 1st class correspondence? One 1st class letter ended up on the ground amongst leaves and puddles... I can't help but wonder if this was the same for ALL my documents sent to the Home Office through "first class-signed for"?! ... by the way, I've received their official answer to the letter I've sent them, and they didn't received any correspondence from me.... therefore my letter was "delivered in a professional way". I've hoped all this time that if it wasn't delivered to the Home Office it will be sent back to me(RTS), but it was in vain. 1 star is already too much.
