“Royal Mail tracking is useless.
Why send someone a text saying that a parcel will be delivered before 7:30 pm when tracking says it’s 200 miles away. Needless to say it didn’t arrive. PATHETIC”
“Didn't deliver the item and it's not the first time. I would say 1 out of 4 products I've ordered online have not been delivered by Royal Mail. Are they trying to run a business? Perhaps they send every 4th item to the Queen?”
“Royal Mail you are terrible. a) You don't leave the package with a neighbour like every other company I know or hide it under a box in the front garden - why not? b) they then leave a card that doesn't have a reference on it c) if you call to redeliver the phone-line says it is too busy to answer calls and then disconnects you. It directs you to the website d) At the website you can't just order a redelivery it says you have to download the app e) Assuming you've a smart phone (not very inclusive Royal Mail) you download the app f) In my case it told me I need to reset my password but this takes a while to arrive g)you then can book a redelivery but have to reenter your information for every delivery you've missed - OMG how much time so slow h) You can't click the box to specify for it to be left in a safe space or with a neighbour - oh no that would be too efficient and cost effective for everyone i) then you can't book a slot of your choice so it could arrive anytime and the cycle continues.... Really, who is responsible for this terrible terrible service. If you have mobility problems on a low income you'd be totally scuppered. My delivery place is not on a bus route. This is shockingly bad service. I wonder if you could make it any worse. I'd like a response please Royal Mail - who is responsible? My postman is super lovely, the only saving grace.
I'm going to stop buying anything online delivered by Royal Mail as they are so rubbish. This was part of a gift for someone's birthday. Long gone now...”
“Paid for track and trace on my parcel to Dubai. Information not been updated for past 10 days. Last entry says parcel due to leave UK for destination. Tried to contact Royal Mail by phone and email without success, states email address currently not in use due to amount of emails being received!! Am trying to determine if this lack of updated info on the parcel's journey is normal practice, due to possible backlog as a result of Covid restrictions or if the parcel as been lost in transit! I send a number of parcels over to Dubai via track and trace never had this problem previously. The last one I sent about 3 weeks ago arrived within days and tracking was constantly updated for each part of the journey!!!!”
“Dire, up early, waited in, no parcel. Tracking option hopeless. Why specify a date and time, which is not met. Why give an expected time and day and then say it might not be either.”
“I did not hear any indication that the postman was waiting outside, then they banged on the door ferousicaly, scaring my children. I quickly went to the door having no idea whether it was someone trying to break in or not?! I saw no one through the peep hole. I look back a few minutes later and I see a postman crouching down writing a note (presumably to say that he had tried to deliver my marcel but i wasnt in) so i opened the door, and he dramatically ripped up the note, huffing and puffing, and slammed the door on his way out to the staircase. Appalling service.”
“Was saddened today to discover my postwoman had delivered my mail for the last time. She always had time for a quick word and big smile as she hurried quickly through my garden....I will miss her! WF12 7BG”
“Parcel gone missing, no one to contact, email address "undeliverable" website keeps locking my account, "click & drop" accepted my £10 but never sent card and I cannot use the service and lost my money TERRIBLE COMPANY”
“Truly awful service at the moment. They're blaming the "Covid 19" yet every other business, including the one where I work, seems to be operating normally. This is just an excuse for terrible service and mismanagement.
Get a grip!”
“Should charge less for 2nd class signed due to parcels taking way longer then 3 working days, also unable to sign due to covid...pointless and not the service you pay for.”
“I am a online seller and have been using Royal for 7 months straight 6 days a week and in the last month I have lost around £400 because the parcels are not delivered to customers and for some of them it’s been nearly 14 days. What the hell am I doing with these guys and I’ve spent nearly £27,000 in the last 7 months. They have left me no
Choice but to change my courier.”
“Still waiting on the phone to customer services after 35 minutes trying to trace a lost parcel.
Royal Mail is the worst excuse of a delivery company. Tracking that doesn't work. Time slots and live updates not available.
Blaming Covid and now Christmas....whatever next. Funny though all my other deliveries seem to get hear ok and on time.”
“The tracking system has no iso standard, it meets no system criteria items are lost with no one take responsibility. With all the composition these days they will not last long, this time with corona virus would be a good time to shine but all other delivery companies are meeting the delivery slot but RM never met them and so many item never delivered go missing, and cost so high. Soon to be no more service is discussing”
“I hate Royal Mail with an absolute passion. Everytime I know I am going to get a delivery by them I know it will be hassle.
I am in yet they happen to miss me everytime. Every other company leaves my parcel in a safe place but they take it away again. If I wanted to go to the DO I would just go to a shop!!!”
“Let me start by saying majority of the time royal mail are fantastic, great guy's friendly chatty, but..... when you get a newbie things go wrong 🙃, unfortunately I've had post today that wasn't for me it was for TWO separate addresses alongside my own post so how did the postman get it wrong, that's 3 different names 3 different numbers 3 different addresses all to 1 House, I delivered the letter and parcel to the right addresses but obviously I'm concerned my own mail maybe in the hands of someone else, and this time of year I'm waiting for parcels and letter's, the new guy really needs to check the adress out.”
