They damaged an item that I had sold on ebay. The item was very well wrapped and fragile was written on each side of the box. However, the item arrived damaged, I have refunded the buyer in full. Royal mail feel it is acceptable to just refund my postage cost of £8.99 but no compensation for the item even though it was insured!! I have appealed this decision and I am waiting for a reply. I am absolutely appalled by Royal Mail. I will try my best to use a different courier from now on!

I was a regular user of eBay but over the past twelve months Royal Mail has become increasingly unreliable with really shocking delivery times, it was recently taking anything between 5-10 for its class post to arrive, much worse during and since the covid crisis. Signed for and recorded mail isn’t what it says as they are quite happy yo deliver both without a signature, and this was pre covid. On a brighter note, people are now beginning to wake up to the poor level of service offered by Royal Mail and their pathetic customer service and it’s my belief that the more of us who stop using them will eventually Reward us by mass redundancies and hopefully the demise of the Royal Mail itself. It truly doesn’t deserve the privileges bestowed upon it by the crown. Perhaps removing the royal warrant may help?????

So If I purchase something from China RoyalMail charge the customs duty and VAT. That is absolutly fine and I am happy to pay that. However When the item is £16 so RoyalMail charge £3.34 VAT and duties but also add £8 admin fee for an automated service, then I am sure that constitues Punitive charging. However we in the UK have no option to opt out of the charges or to use an alternative provider. It is about time we had an authorative control group (whom we can compain to) not associated with RoyalMail and not funded or pursuaded by them in any way.

Disgraceful company. I paid for first class signed for delivery back in June 2020. The items were irreplaceable family photos some over 90 years old. these items were lost, and even though I complained it took them weeks to get back to me with a pathetic £50 'goodwill' gesture, and a so called apology written by a robot. Disgusting company, pathetic customer service, no remorse for losing irreplaceable items, will never use them again.

I paid the post office £6.70 for the "guaranteed" delivery of a letter by 1pm the next day. Two days later it had still not arrived. I went to the post office to get a refund - the very least they could do considering that it was really important for the letter to arrive on time. I was told that they are not actually the post office - even though it says "Post Office" right above the door - and that I could not get a refund from them. An astonishing level of dishonesty.

parcel I sent arrived with a hole in the box and the item damaged. The online 'make a claim' form is designed to make you give up out of frustration. My item was insured for £50, they had the nerve to try and decline my claim and sent a book of first class stamps as compensation. Luckily, I know someone in management who sorted the whole mess out for me. They will never get another penny from me.

Parcel sent for 24 hour delivery, 3 days to deliver. What point in paying extra if cannot deliver on time. Hermes manage to deliver in these difficult times so there is no excuse.

Awaiting 4 different parcels from 4 different individuals. Each one of them at least 3 days overdue. I understand that Covid has an influence but all of these were sent via 1st class 9 days ago and still haven't arrived. Royal Mail says that I have to wait at least another 10 days before we can claim the parcel as lost. Something is seriously wrong with the delivery service in Farnborough.

Absurd, surreal website — I tried buying stamps online and my card was refused twice for no apparent reason, then when I tried again the site told me that all orders over £60 were delivered free...except for STAMPS! Beggars belief. No wonder Britain’s going down the pan.

Ordered on a Saturday, said it would arrive by Tuesday. Tracking number for given and I had a look and it turns out they had sent my package to the wrong post office. I've had the rerouting message on my tracker for a day now. Total joke and what's worse is they're sometimes the only delivery option.

Paid for next day delivery, get text message, Your parcel from EURO PARTS DEALER is due on Tuesday, 8 September 2020 between 06:37am and 10:37am. NOT RECIVE IT. IT WAS NOT FIRST TIME. DPD is better

We were told that our package had been delivered but it had not been. We were home all day so there was no chance of us missing it especially as another parcel from a different company had delivered a package at the same time our Royal Mail package was allegedly delivered. I am really disappointed because I have used Royal Mail so many times before and it has always been trustworthy but the package we ordered was expensive and we needed on a certain date so I can’t see myself using Royal Mail in the future.

I have noticed now during the pandemic period that Royal Mail have become even more erratic with a terribly poor standard of service. I've experienced both as sender and receiver massive delays. I have loads of eBay items that are due (simple small first class delivery items) that are days out of their estimated delivery time. I've sent something recently first class which took 10 days to get there. I find that deliveries to my home are now extremely erratic. Often without constant daily deliveries but with just one large, grouped delivery on one day of the the week! Like they couldn't be bothered and saved everything up for a single delivery (late items included)!! I'm sure this is causing frustration to many of us out there. Forget Covid-19 disruption warnings on the Royal Mail website. Why should I pay for a service that they cannot provide and fulfill efficiently? A classic example of over promising and underdelivering and let's not get me started on the claims process for late or lost items!?! They are a monopolised national postal service reeking of complacency because most of us don't have any choice but to use them. That's all it is. 'Royal' mail doesn't deserve to be associated with royalty at all. Of any kind. Oh and before anyone starts complaining and saying I'm being unfair, well yes, there have been some occasions when they have actually delivered something on time but who wants to pay for a service you really can't rely on?

I sent a parcel at the start of the pandemic it still hasn’t reached its international destination supposedly signed for doesn’t count for anything I’ve sent 2 recently by DHL Both arrived within 4 days all I’ve received is the postage as I hadn’t got receipts it cost me £165.00 for a replacement and got £18.50 back from RM take my advice use a more competent and honest service like DHL rather than the incompetent and thoroughly dishonest Parcelforce morning

Royal mail lost my parcel or stole it, it was signed for. we made a claim over 60 days ago, when according to our contractual arrangement they promise to resolve it within 30 days. So why the hell haven't they? Why are you trying to rip me off, and not fullfil our contractual agreement. Now I'm forced to take legal action, because criminal activity seems common place for royal mail, they don't fullfil there obligation. Sloppy unhelpful, no customer service worth talking about. Royal mail, you need to fulfill your commitments and take responsibility for your incompetence, or expect the consequence. it's shocking that you are allowed to trade in this country with all the rules you make a mockery of, and your total disregard for people. Shameful!!!!!
