Terrible company and terrible customer service bought a laptop which said it had a dedicated 2gb graphics card! It came with 1gb and the completely different hard drive and because I didn't open it till xmas they would not replace it or do a refund or anything! Hope this will stop people from using this company cod if they make a mistake or there's a problem. They definitely won't help! Shocking service

Spent over £1200 on a laptop arrived a day late to find there was a problem with it, weeks later collected to go back, they have now had it 3 weeks for repair with NO contact from them & I paid for it 2 months ago. IN SHORT ITEM IS GOOD IF IT WORKS BUT IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR ORDER DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME YOUR SCREWED

Brought a cub laptop from save on laptops and wouldn't buy again. Battery has stopped charging after owning it for just 2 months. Also overheats quickly, also cube logo on front of laptop peeled off, I guess you pay for what you get. Would avoid buying this product again.

Laptop arrived on Monday, mousepad was dead. Called Asus who confirmed it was a hardware issue and to send it back. Laptop picked up on Friday and delivered back to Saveonlaptops the following Monday. It is now the Friday after and it still hasn't been booked into the workshop. I cannot have a refund / credit note until it is booked in and even then it can be upto 7 working days before a decision is made. Told them to leave a note on the system I do not want the laptop back as I now want a refund rather than waiting another week or more to get a replacement from them as that is an unacceptable length of time. Off to PC World to pick up a new one now.

Had to threaten to go to trading standards to get them to respond to my queries about my DOA laptop. Service was great until something went wrong, do business at your own risk I suppose.

When my laptop arrived it was broken and didn't even turn on!!! Took absolutely ages and so many procedures just to send it back... After about a month of going through so many steps I eventually got my money back. Such a waste of time.. Don't even bother buying anything from here!!!

This is one of the, if not the very worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a laptop for 5 day delivery, it came 10 days late and the laptop had the wrong hardware and was broken. It would also keep randomly turning itself off. After this, I had to arrange to return it to them myself, and had to spend about £25 on packaging supplies and boxes, which they told me they can't pay for even though they are the ones who sent me the faulty laptop in the first place. Overall it has taken me 4 weeks after receiving it to send it back to them and now I am in limbo waiting for what will happen next. Absolutely dreadful company. Will never work with them again.

I paid for the next day delivery, after much chasing and hours on the phone to both, the seller and their courier, I had to collect it up from a picking point myself after 4 days. For those 4 days nobody was able to tell me where the parcel was. The seller shifted the blame despite the wrong labels attached to the parcel by their own warehouse, later admitting that 'they forgot to despatch'. Asus laptop I got had specs stating 'Keyboard Type - Laptop Keyboard' which makes one assume it is a standard UK keyboard. Well, it is not - it is a US one. Also, it keeps turning itself off despite many settings changes/other simple solutions that would normally work. I had to have it serviced - I'd dread to contact this company again for return/repair/anything at all, since they were unable to process a simple order in the first place. It would've probably taken a month, if lucky. Utter nightmare, no compensation offered upon my first complaint, no further reply, atrocious customer service.

Delivery was the only good part of the service. My laptop came with the wrong hardware, it took 5 weeks overall just to get it back to me after spending so much money on a laptop, Without any form of compensation for wasting 5 weeks waiting on a laptop due to their own fault. Customer service was completely shocking, i will certainly will not be purchasing from you again and i wont be recommending to anyone

your ref: G9EMVZXM9 Thanks for the computer, I am sure that is will be great when I get into it!!! Thanks for the computer, I am sure that it will be great when I can get into it. The instructions said, follow the instruction on the screen to complete the set up. Unfortunately, the only screen to which I can gain access is the one that asks for the password. I have no indication in the package as to what the password is. I also ask, as the computer has a password, has it been used by someone else, the information on your web site does not indicate that the computer was pre-used. I should be grateful if you could let me know how to procede. I have set up my 4 previous computers without a problem, I am not a novice! Many thanks Miss Jennifer Dunford email: pjdwhitmans@aol.com

Bought laptop and had problems with curser freezing when using touchpad got in touch with customer service and told to return laptop. I was informed that no problem existed with laptop and would have to pay for return postage £20 , but they would not charge for technicians cost. Laptop returned ,what do you know same problem tried to contact customer service numerous times but ignored all my attempts beware , cheap but cheaper service.

I've ordered from Save On Laptops many times and the service and delivery times are normally excellent, but this order was not successful. It was my first time ordering a Cube laptop, and I don't think I'll get another. It refused to boot up on arrival until the technical support department talked me through BIOS changes. Even then, I discovered that unlike most new machines, this one had already been through the Windows set up process and a user account created - rather than giving me the chance to set things up the way I want and create the default account in my own name. And then, when it powered off, it refused to boot up again. So the machine had to be returned, leaving me without one for a big trip away, which just added an extra layer of frustration. I am now awaiting a refund before I can order a replacement - probably still from Save On Laptops, but from a better known manufacturer.

Review No 5 Company still in breach of consumer law, my bank has now refunded purchase price. argument now between company and Visa, have a nice day. i do believe Trading Standards has also advised company of its illegal stance. Review No 4 still no further forward, trading standards wants copy of returns policy save on laptops won't send a copy, happy to keep on making these reviews as evidence! REview NO 3 Have requested help from VISA and Trading Standards, still no return of non-functional Lenovo/IBM Laptop. Review No2:- Company continues to be unreasonable, it's returns policy requires you to relinquish legal rights, uses "Unfair Contract TERMS- BOILER PLATE CLAUSES", has stated it will accept return, but on their T&C's. Have advised as they will have both the machine and my money what's their problem? Note the returns web site telephone number for Lenovo IBM is wrong, the process requires you to get an RMA reference from the manufacturer before any retun can be processed, mine is 303565R, but inneffective! why? Please note that copies of all e-mails etc are also being sent to Lenovo-IBM to no effect!!!!! My advice to anone reading this is to stay clear! Computer not functioning, rejected goods, still awaiting some form of return as Lenovo/IBM cannot track the unit without a re-seller invoice which I don't have. we then have the farce of the serial number for the computer not on it but on the box it was delivered in. My opinion of "Save on Lap tops/Box Ltd is rubbish!!!!!!! We have a situation where th seller will not accept a return unless approved by the manufacturer, and subject to additional charges legally incompetent please check!!!!!!

I should have been put off from the beginning by the fact I was asked to pay a surcharge when placing an order as I was using a credit card, but given the fact this was made VERY clear, and I had multiple options (Paypal, also surcharged, and debit card), I decided to go with the CC anyway as it'd give me more protection. The order eventually arrived after a short delay whilst the laptop was built (I did chase, and it somewhat rendered the small extra I paid for a faster delivery pointless), but I quickly found an issue with the delivered item, so I raised an RMA. No big deal, as laptops are very high-tech items, and they can be faulty on arrival. It was duly collected from my workplace, and that was all quite straight forward. However, the RMA department seem completely incapable of organising themselves. The RMA process stipulates it will take 7 working days. I waited 7 working days and heard nothing, so I called to chase. I was assured the engineers would look at it, and that they were very busy (not made clear at any point prior). I insisted I had waited the required amount of time, so I wanted a resolution, especially given how obvious the fault was. I was called back the very same day to be told that yes, there was a fault, and a replacement would be shipped out ASAP. This was a Friday, so the replacement arrived on the Monday following. However, it had not been assembled, and I received a laptop plus random parts. This didn't wholly concern me as I knew I could build it myself (and indeed, it is sold as such often). However, I received a phone call the very same day to be told I had not returned all the items with the laptop. I insisted I had, but was tacitly accused of not having done so. I knew full well I had, and insisted somebody check the workshop immediately and get back to me, but was then told this would take a few days! Quite how it takes so long to go look for some removed RAM and an SSD, I'm not sure. I was quite angry at this point. I received a call all of 30 minutes later to tell me the missing parts had been found. However, by this point I decided I didn't want to continue doing business with this company as I didn't feel I could trust them, so I requested a refund, which was speedily arranged without any issue. I personally would suggest not purchasing from this company, nor it's parent (Box.co.uk) as they don't seem quite capable of providing any sort of decent service in aftersales, as like all too many online retailers they are nothing more than box-shifters, and anything outside of that one-way transaction just causes issue.

the laptop arrived in a black polythene bag which had ripped open at both ends - not what I would expect a laptop to be shipped in!

Hi, I apologise that you are not happy with the way you have received your item and I am sorry to hear that the polythene bag split during transit. A laptop comes packaged in a box ready for transport, it is industry standard that they are shipped in their retail packaging. We only add a polythene bag for security measures to disguise what is actually being sent out for delivery to you. Again I am sorry you are not happy with the way you have received your laptop, however the manufacturers packaging is more than sufficient for onwards delivery.

Having recently been sold a Toshiba laptop with a CHROME O/S (order no. S6J-B42-8T7-966) I was subsequently assured by your team that the Norton Internet Security which they recommended was compatible even although I had found it impossible to download it. Despite subsequent telephone contact with Save On Laptops to point out that that the products were not compatible, a fact confirmed directly to me by on line Semantic support (see also the various on line discussion threads confirming this + Norton's own Product Compatibility advice), your team have refused to refund the cost of the Norton Internet Security. As this is a clear breach of my Consumer Protection rights in the sense that what I have been sold is not compatible and thus NOT FIT for the purpose for which it was purchased I find your refusal to refund me totally unacceptable. Clearly your Sales Team is not au fait with the compatibilities of the goods they are offering as a package. Reference to Semantic will confirm that this is a known problem and that whilst they say that they are working to make Norton compatible with Chrome O/S THIS IS NOT CURRENTLY THE CASE. Notwithstanding the above I have to say that although the 'Returns' side of the company were polite (despite being improperly advised by your in house technocrat) the 'Sales' were off hand to the point of disinterest ! All in all I have no hesitation in giving a "VERY POOR" rating for my experience with Save On Laptops.

Paid extra for two day delivery, product came 10 days later. When talking to customer service they were rude and unhelpful, I was told I hadn't paid for my product and then after checking my account Statement to be sure I had, customer service said they were looking at the wrong account. No apologies, no cohesion with the delivery company whatsoever so unable to arrange alternate drop off arrangements if I was not home, after a failed delivery 9 days after purchase. I took the afternoon off work to recieve the delivery. Joke of a service. Was starting to worry this site was some sort of fraud money scamming site. Was not re imbursed the money for speedy delivery and when asking about it was told there was nothing that could be done. Unsure why there is a customer service line at all.
