“on the whole happy, the only thing that annoyed me was free delivery needs to be quantified earlier on in the buying process. The laptop i bought was labelled as free delivery. It was free if you can wait 7-10 days. I wanted mine sooner than that so it cost me £9.99”

“The service I received was excellent - fast and efficient. However, I am already having problems with the HP 250 which, or course, is no fault of Save on Laptops. I am in contact with Hewlett Packard who are doing their best to help me but with a Notebook that is only 6 months old I am, to say the least, disappointed. Hopefully the problems will be resolved in the near future. Despite this I would recommend Save on Laptops - a good online company with very competitive prices.”

“I bought an MSI CX61 through Save On Laptops. It was a good purchase. They were quick, had a competitive price and the purchase was easy. My only issue (like other things bought online) is that although the spec is there, the finish isnt as good as it might have looked. E.g. a HP, where you cant easily tell the difference through just online pictures. I.e. the keyboard and build feels and behaves much cheaper than it looks IMO. Also Ive since found that (although it should be) the BIOS isnt great for easy auto booting over USB etc. HDMI output however is good, and general processing appears to run well like it should. So its an ok laptop from a good seller, but after using it for a while I now wish I spent a bit more.”

“Toshiba Satellite Pro C870-1E2: Item arrived promptly and safely. It has a 17" screen which is difficult to find in High Street shops now, as the trend is to ever-smaller units. Plus it had the option of Windows 7 and/or Windows 8 - excellent as I did not want Windows 8, and virtually everything else was shipping with 8 pre-loaded. Dislike Toshiba keyboards, but you can't have everything. So far works well”

“Laptop arrived on time and as described so happy. However, less than three months later the laptop broke down and had to be returned for repair. Not only inconvenient but laptop returned with software and documents lost. Now very unhappy and will not be able to recommend or make further purchases.”

“We received the laptop very promptly but it had a fault where there sounded like a screw loose in it when you moved it. However, customer service was helpful and they were able to find a solution for us where by we were able to easily return the laptop for a replacement. The new laptop was received promptly and works well. It would be worth noting that I also sent a query about the extended warranty and received a prompt and helpful reply from customer service also.”

“Excellent, efficient service, had no problems at all. Only downside is the credit card charges and delivery charge on some laptops (although collect + is free). Seems a bit unnecessary in comparison to other retailers.”

“superb power and resolution for £700 (at time of purchase) i would still consider it to be the most power buy at £700 currently (April 2014) i bought it for playing game when i'm away from my desktop, as far as i can see it plays them fine. the 740M graphics chip it has is of the 64 bit variant rather than 128 bit ones that can be gotten but it is still very fast so don't be put off. the one miner gripe i had about it was the windows 8 that was installed, suffice to say that lasted about 3 mins before i said nope and then installed win 7. make sure you change the boot system to legacy from EUFI system that win 8 runs on in the BIOS, if you don't you won't be able to reinstall the OS. oh and 1 other thing, the 1TB HDD was partitioned weird for win 8, it had about 5 different partitions one of them the D drive was over 300 GB large. so be warned that you HDD space is still all there but in a few parts. but don't let these small issues put you off of a great machine”

“I considered purchasing the Sony 4g ready tablet before deciding on the Samsung ATIV Smart PC XE500T1C. I read reports on the product and it seemed to have all the necessary 'bells & whistles' I need. The Windows 8 Pro was a little cumbersome but the upgrade improved functionality. I'm no techy but I've quickly got to grips with the product. By comparison to my laptop it's a little lacking in processor speed, & mouse 'wobble' a little annoying but all in all I'm pleased with the purchase. The battery life and easy to use detachable keyboard are big +++'s. Nice product well priced!”

“Ive used "save on laptops" several times now, they are always around the price that appears to be inline with some competitors but i stick with them cos i know that my purchases will arrive when they say they will. The only slight negative i have is when trying to contact the right person in customer services.”

“It does what I need it to do, therefore it's value for money. If I had tried out various laptops first I might have opted for a different quality keyboard. I'm not keen on the shiny cover but that's largely irrelevant unless the design is important to you. It's just that it looks grubbyy all the time and needs endless wiping with every fingerprint showing. I would still recommend it if you're after a good, cheap all rounder.”
