Scottish Power a company to avoid at all cost. No heart, no care or compassion. Brief details… I own a lot of rental properties, for 3 weeks (March 2020) during the transition between tenants, I was responsible for the energy use, even though none was used as the property was empty. New tenant should of past on any correspondence (they have been warned because they didn’t), difficult time due to national lockdown. Scottish Power made no attempt to tell me there was a small amount outstanding, apart from apparently sending letter to the property address. Once Scottish Power obtained my home address, no correspondence was sent to me, they immediately put an unsettled debt on my credit history meaning I have now been turned down for a mortgage. This shows Scottish Power has no concern in what their actions cause. If they had sent a letter, they would have been paid immediately, I would not have the serious downgrade on my credit history, first ever. I might not have posted this, but when I found out a similar thing happened to a family member, who then received a £50.00 cheque in way of saying sorry from Scottish Power. So, my review of Scottish Power, is to avoid just in case there’s an issue, they will just take the most damaging action against you. I have just seen the 96% of very bad reviews on Trustpilot, not surprised.

Scottish power is the worst company ever! I gave the one star only because zero star is not an option. They are incompetent and not efficient. Three times they were supposed to come and sort my meter within almost a year that I had been complaining about my meter and engineer didn’t show up. I have to keep calling to report the issue of my meter deducting money from my top ups. I was told the credit and debit team will have a look at it and call me back on a day, nobody called. I called back and was told by the customer service representative I spoke to that the other person had given me incorrect information and this new person guaranteed that I will receive a call in a couple of days still nobody called and the meter keeps deducting money from my top ups. When I called back I was told by this new person I spoke to that I have to wait another 5 working days for the call as her previous colleagues had not completed the investigation properly. This is the worst energy company ever. Nobody should ever have to be pushed about so much the way they have been pushing me around for almost a year!

Moved from Yorks energy by ofgem Completed their forms 8th Dec... Still don't know our tariff..called to day to be told our tariff is ENERGY EXCLUSIVE.......BUT GET THIS they can't tell me the unit or daily charge or how long it lasts !!!!!!!!!! However did manage to get an account number from them Guess we'll exscape ASAP as this is "LESS THAN GOOD"

Thanks Scottish power for roning my Christmas no power since 9:30am can't get in touch with them there on holiday looks like we will be without power till the 29th left with no heating and a storm blowing outside worst company I have ever been with if you're not with them stay clear

Unfair company. I was on fixed rate, but they increase the price after few months. Not recommended, very unprofessional.

In credit but will not give me my money back and are refusing to let me leave. Bullying and intimidating. Dreadful company and am only with them because my original supplier went bust and was automatically transferred. Being going on for over ten weeks.

I would like to give no stars as the company known as Scottish Power is absolutely appalling, PLEASE PLEASE do not have anything to do with this company and their so called customer service. They are the worst company I have ever had anything to do with. I have received a bill for electricity from meters that do not exist at my property, apparently from readings I had given when I had not because the meters do not exist, for economy 7 heating when I have oil fired central heating. Its actually a FRAUDULENT bill based on lies or incompetence but I dont know which is worse. I have contacted them more times than I wish to recall but they just ask for the same thing over and over, photographs of my meter and meter serial number(which I have already sent twice) both readings readings from my fictitious 2 meters, I have explained I have 1 meter and oil heating till I am blue in the face but their incompetence has no limits and so someone else sends out the same generic email asking for the same information over and over again, and I like a fool keep sending it. AGAIN, HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE WORST.

I can’t take it anymore, if you email, half the time you get an auto response saying they will respond in 48 hours and then nothing. They constantly reply saying use the chat, I tried that twice and it was a disaster. Spent 1 hour to try and get someone to look at a faulty gas meter that won’t light up. After 1 hour they finally gave me a date and time for someone to visit. No visit. Tried again, new date, no visit. Called the 0800 number, told nobody can visit, it’s a meter outside with free access, so anyone visiting would not have any contact with anyone else. Other issues, 4 gas meters fitted but incorrectly assigned to the flats. All the accounts are wrong, told to do a burn test to verify which meter serves which flat. Did that, emailed the information, no response. If I had trustpilot reviews like this I would be ashamed to tell anyone I worked for Scottish Power, thankfully I don’t. Be warned, don’t give your business to Scottish Power.

Been with them for two days and they are the useless.Wish I had not changed supplier.I have got a major issue with them but they will do nothing about it.Avoid this company!

only because zero wasn’t an option!! avoid at all costs. funny how i got an email and final bill saying i was in credit of over £250 but mysteriously i owed them money! don’t think so and i’ll take it further!

I was then threatened with a default/legal action for a bill that wasn't mine. I paid the bill even though it wasn't mine to try and appease Scottish power until the issue could be resolved and they applied a default to my credit rating anyway for a bill that I didn't owe. This has had serious repercussions on my personal financial situation. SCOTTISH POWER EXTORDED MONEY FROM ME AND HAVE FAILED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

Complaint 2 months ago following faulty meter .Many e mails/phone calls and live chats made to Scottish Power and where they have made many promises to rectify which may well include a refund Promises of a letter in transit early in November but so far this has failed to arrive Will certainly leave when my contract up for review in the summer of 2021 .Absolute shambles of a business

Left in August this year and I'm still being charged. I'm currently trying to get a refund but getting nowhere as I keep being fobbed off. I strongly urge people NOT to go with Scottish Power if they want a stress free life. I contacted them a month ago and it's still not sorted. I've had enough. I'm just glad I'm with someone else but I need my money refunded otherwise I'd have left it

Like the other 95% of 1 star reviews on this site, I have had a similar dismal experience with Scottish Power. This company needs to be Ashamed, thoroughly ashamed of their Pathetic level of customer service. If I could take them to a court to sue i would, but these big companies with their crooked lawyers would prevent me. I have spent over 106 hours without central heating or hot water. Under a Boiler care plan SP have sent out the wrong engineer (came to fix a radiator !) causing more delay another 24 hours later, a gas engineer who could not fix the boiler. A report then went to SPower claims department, who after repeated calls to them, did not reply, communicate with me in any way for the whole weekend 48 hours ! no matter how many times I called same shitty excuse after shitty excuse, no one calls back to update or move the claim forward. Meanwhile, no heating ,no boiler, my mother who is disabled, over 70, a vulnerable person has had to survive all this, SP you are a bunch of heartless idiots leaving a household with an ill person with no heating for 72 hours, 3 days ! Only on Monday morning, after contacting resolutions, did I finally receive a call back from claims who explained to me that our Bosch boilers are not covered by SP and cover has been cancelled, this has caused me and my family stress and discomfort. I have complained in writing and still received no apology or reply. Such a moronic, incompetent level of service is inexcusable, I want my premium refunded and will appoint a new insurer. Scottish Power is utter rubbish !

no gas for 3 days had new meter fitted 2 weeks ago gas was running low. called these cowboys and was told u have to be with out gas then we can send you new card , in contact with my local mp and putting sse in local papers for no care to us
