Do not honour payment agreements - will leave you hanging on the phone for hours - will send you threatening bullying and intimidating letters - will not act on instructions. Do not pay by DD - you will regret it. They are without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with - so bad they make Vodafone look good - and that takes some doing. Avoid like the plague.

78 days since I was switched from YE and still unable to get my electricity readings sorted due to an alleged “technical issue “. Submitted them by phone, online help and customer non service rep. Useless and eternally frustrating. Can’t switch till I get a bill

You're absolute scum of the earth. I provided my meter readings to you and you now claim to never receive any of those readings 😤😤 I hope you end up out of business ripping customers off. You should be shut down! I'm glad I am switching too a better energy provider. I have been called today by Scottish power and the person showed no remorse to even try and understand the problem. Instead she kept telling me false information. I told her I have clearly been overcharged January and February and she blatantly ignored me. According to her I have used over £200 of gas and electricity from January to February. Absolutely stupid. I live in a 2 bed house, please tell me how that is physically possible. The amount of gas and electricity I would have to use is crazy. I will be celebrating the day you go into administration!

I decided to leave Scottish power because my bills were flying up each month. When I actually moved my final month bill went up by an extra £200. Never again!

Absolutely dreadful. Had to wait over an hour form them to answer the phone. So much for putting the customer first. They don't have a number on their web page for bereavements. You have to get through and then get transferred and wait again or get them to ring you back which they didn't do. Don't use them.

Very poor customer service i was put with scottish power as tonik went bust my direct debit has gone from £77 to over £1000 pound a month .been trying to sort but nobody listens i live in a three bed standard house .finally got through to a lad who said oh yes i see whats happened and put my dd to £120 .a month later got email my dd going to £512 a month. Cant stay with these half witts im in the prosses of moving to octopus .ive been in my house over 30years never experianced anything like it and never paid more than £110 a month . Cant wait to leave

I have received a bill from SP even though I am not a customer just rang them and been on 35 minutes then message came on saying they were now closed . Knowing they have had customer service I have steered clear if joining them. How do they have my address , not name if they do checks. How can anyone trust this company with their details is beyond me. These companies put you on bad debters list .

Shame I have to put one star to write a review about this disgusting company. They don't deserve one star .....terrible rude arrogant customer service ..bullies throughout the company ....all about getting money in any circumstance ...how they manage to get away with this is beyond me .I urge you not to go with Scottish power .avoid them like the plague

Most horrid energy company to deal with if you have any sort of queries: We closed our short lived dual energy account on 3rd Dec 2020 and our credit balance was due to be paid within 14 days as per their letter. It is Feb 2021 and have unsuccessfully spent hours on the phone trying to get through to request the refund. They also advertise you can request refund via website but that is not correct. There is no such link in my account and the balance is still awaited. I would give them minus stars rating if that was possible.

DO NOT EVER USE SCOTTISH POWER!!!! Charging daily standing charge - FOR NOT using your gas. Now we owe these thief £2,155. And holding us ransom on a (1 tarrif available) prepaided meter until 2028. Enjoy it Scottish Power YOU WILL NEVER be in this house the day after and that will be the last pound you get to steal from us.

The worst company to ever deal with! Waited 15 days to something I was advised I would receive in 24-48 hrs, contacted again and told sorry it wasn't processed, will process again and receive in 24 hrs. Asked to raise a complaint. Contacted again 6 days later as still not received to be told still not processed and would I like to raise a complaint? Told them I had already raised a complaint, but they hadn't processed that either. Would give 0 stars if possible!

I received a bill to pay an outstanding bill of £125.38 I don’t understand where is this outstanding coming from! I have a prepay meter it mean I pay in advance. I changed to a different supplier because Scottishpower are Thieves

Disgraceful. Had bailiffs break my door down while I was on bed last year over previous owner's debt. I had contacted them over 30 times by email and even more times by phone to try to sign on with them. Have just discovered now, 10 months after it was sorted out (I got a small goodwill payment as they admitted culpability) that they have again been charging me for a meter that they are aware has been defunct for years. I had to go to the EHU before. Dreading this nightmare happening again

Scottish Power are without doubt the most incompetent and useless company I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have had months of unproductive communications with them over numerous errors they have made. This includes account errors and sending me account information of other customers. I still have no resolution, customer service makes it impossible to either speak to anyone who knows what’s going on or can actually assist beyond saying “sorry”. Also, having sought to switch they have raised a totally incorrect objection with my chosen provider causing ongoing frustration. I’m not somebody who normally writes reviews but please heed the warning, I’m not making this up.... “ don’t touch them because they really are useless” R

Scottish Power are the worst company I have dealt with. I had to join them in October because my previous supplier Tonik went into Admin. It has taken them 3 months to acknowledge I has a £97 Credit balance with Tonik which Scottish Power promised to honour. When I was forced to join Scottish Power they instantly put me on a very expensive Tariff which I could not change. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I have lost count of the number of times I have contacted them trying to sort ouit my Final Bill. I decided to leave Scottish power after a month & gratefully now with a new Supplier who are so much better
