Customer Service is disgraceful, even after complaint escalation ! I have never had the misfortune to deal with such an inadequate customer service department. In this current climate this company are sending me demands for electricity useage in a property I do not live in. I have send proof of tenancy agreements and they still persist in chasing me for various amounts. I have referered this matter to their own complaints department, who could not sort the problem out and kept on losing ALL the information I sent. I have now referred this matter to the Ombudsman who can hopefully resolve a very simple matter. It must be costing Scottish Power a fortune to reclaim such a nominal amount which I don't even owe. Please try to use a reputable energy provider. Steer clear of this company if you want a good credit rating, as Scottish power and its inadequacies will put you in a dangerous position !!!

DO NOT go with Scottish power they are massively incompetent at their job!. They don’t listen to anything you say and they are just money making fraudulents! I have had to go through the ombudsman with them! Awful Awful!! ZERO STARS!

Forget it please! Customer service is rubbish, they do not care at all. We are dealing through ombudsman already and they still waiting for the last day to sort things out, definetely don't deserve client's trust. Avoid.

If I could leave 0 stars i would. Shockingly bad company. For 6 years I have been constantly advising them that my bill is extortionate. I live in a 1 bed apartment, work full time and was being charged £96 per month on Economy 7 tariff. No help was EVER offered to look into the issue. I'm no electrician and I don't have access to my meter, readings are provided by the management company. On requesting to leave, I was SHOCKED to be advised that the best tariff they could offer me was £150 per month! I advised the agent it's impossible that 1 bed apartment could use that much. She wasn't interested. So, i managed to obtain access to the meter for 3 days and found the issue. Scottish Power have the day rate and night rate the wrong way round! Their own engineer missed this. This is in addition to when they sent someone to read my meter not noticing that the time on it was out by 5 hours! They have had it wrong for 6 years and not once offered to look into why a 1 bed apartments bills were more than a small business! I was advised they would recalculate my bill 10 months ago and am still waiting - and that was just for the error with the time on the meter, the issue of the day rate and night rate being the wrong way round hasn't even been acknowledged yet! Appalling company.

I am absolutely disgusted and appalled at the amount of lies I have revieved from several Scottish Power agents, all with conflicting information. I have email proof that 3 different people have told me 3 complete separate lies regarding my account. I have been with Scottish Power for years but they are just getting worse and worse every year. I am changing supplier to Bulb as we speak.

They lure new customers in with low prices, then keep putting the prices up for no reason. They wouldn't accept my honest meter readings. Terrible customer service, staff very unhelpful and sarcastic. Then when you decide to switch to another provider, they keep pestering you with hard-sell phone calls, trying to persuade you to come back. Definitely would not recommend!

Really bad energy company do NOT go near them sky high prices ,gave my readings several times told me they don't believe my reading awful company to deal with.

Have been with this company for around 5 years now, suddenly my monthly bill went from £75 per month to £145! I have tried to switch to another supplier and paid the outstanding of balance of £150 as that is what Scottish Power requested to proceed with the switch then all of a sudden I get another objection from the new utilities company saying Scottish Power objected again only to have Scottish Power email me to say I have to pay another £500!!! I have not changed anything over the years and cannot sort the matter with Scottish Power as cannon get I contact with them, have emailed them several times about it over the last week with no reply, at this current time and with COVID-19 and no income they seem like they are talking advantage of people not being able to contact them.

OMBUDSMAN IS NEXT STEP FOR ME!!! I switched suppliers at the end of January 2020 (after being with Scottish Power for 42 years) and I have been trying to get the refund I am due ever since. Despite sending endless emails, calls, etc, they have still not paid up. After switching suppliers I left my direct debit active as requested, so that they could pay a refund straight into my account, and instead of refunding me they took out a whole month's direct debit payment! I have written countless times direct to Keith Anderson (CEO) and Customer Services and still no satisfaction. I am banging my head against a brick wall here so I will set up a case with the Ombudsman Service to see if they can 'shake up' this dreadful company to pay up. My advice would be to avoid Scottish Power at all costs - they don't deserve your business!!!!

By far the worst company on the planet.. 1* is way too generous, you have been arrassing me for over 1 year for bills that don't belong to me, you are bombarding my address with other people's bills even after telling you i am the only owner, you are a disgusting company run by incompetent, i will never use you again and will tell the entire world of your incompetence

Absolute tossers the lot of them. Can't even begin to write the litany of broken promises lies and deadlines that have passed. Months and months of constant phone calls and emails and meter readings to try to sort out a simple billing error. Total and utter waste of time, like talking to a brick wall. Enough is enough, have reported them to the Energy Ombudsman (waste of time) and have now switched my supplier today. VOTE WITH YOUR FEET PEOPLE!!!!

Scottish power are an incompetent organisation who can’t simply cancel my account when a tenant moves into the property Nearly 3 months later despite full prompt and repeated information from me that are still sending me letters Even though the tenant has opened an account with them I have been dealing with utility companies for 41 years and have 7 btl properties Scottish Power are the most incompetent bunch I have ever dealt with

Absolute scammers. My mom uses this company and they Accumulated bills over a period of time and didn’t think to tell her until the bill comes up to a fortune. They are the worst company I have ever come across and the customer service is disgusting with bad attitudes. And uneducated. Terrible terrible terrible company. Would rate a -5 star if I could

Scottish power. Absolute shambles I have just read the reviews and to be honest I can honestly say I have Experienced nearly everyone of the reviews, from been lied to the minute I signed up to the present day. This supplier seriously needs looking into, there is something seriously dodgy. I personally am in the process of changing suppliers. Word of advice to anyone thinking of changing Give them a very wide Birth.

Absolutely disappointed! Our smart meter stopped to work in the middle of January. Today is 2nd of April and nobody from that company even trying to solve this problem even when we called and asked for so many times. They gave as a huge bill last month and tell as the provided information from last year, but our house is absolutely new and there is no history! Already two months when they were told as to wait to the end of the month, but no professional reaction of them.

Whatever you do DO NOT go with Scottish Power! Worst company I've EVER dealt with. Even when you leave them you can't get away. I left Scottish Power 6 years ago (as a result of poor service and following a lengthy complaint) and they started billing me again for the amount of the energy I used for the full 18 months that they were my provider 5 years later, even though I fully settled the account when I left. Nobody did anything to help me, even when I raised a complaint and escalated it through to all the levels their complaints procedure states. Not once did anyone give me an update, looked into my complaint or called me back after the numerous calls I made to get an update. After 3 months of waiting for someone to deal with my complaint I raised it to the energy ombudsman who, after investigating, confirmed there was nothing to pay as I paid for all my energy usage. Although Scottish Power agreed to their decision they have now started billing me again asking me to pay instead of putting my account right! So the stress of dealing with this company continues! They should be shut down, their service is the worst I've ever experienced and all they do is con and try to steal from their customers. Disgusting! 1 star rating is way too good for them!

I received excellent customer service from a customer service advisor called Sheldon a good few weeks ago. He listened to my complaint he remained so polite and with a good speaking tone he went out of his way to help me as much as he could. I really appreciated his customer service skills as I would like to say thank you so very much.
