“This company is representing a trucking company that hit me in an accident an over month ago. It’s been horrible experience. Accuse after accuse from the adjuster. We are still investigating . They have failed to take care of my car and my personal injuries. My back is messed up due to this accident and it was their drivers fault. When you called them you can’t get no one. You have to communicate through email. Their customer service and response to the customer is awful. They website say they care, but they do not care about customers. It’s horrible. “My girlfriend had major surgery. They approved her for time off, then kept harassing us for paperwork from the surgeon's office that we paid them to send off 3 times. Then after approving time off, they switched it to not approved and caused her to get fired.”
“I was rear-ended by a Sedgwick customer- Carvana- in December and it is now the end of May and they have not responded to any of my phone calls or emails to try and figure out what the next steps are to getting my vehicle repaired. They admitted fault in a letter in received from them, and then ghosted me. I am now having to hire a lawyer to get any response for vehicle damages less than $5,000. It's ridiculous and they are absolutely TERRIBLE at customer service.”
“Scam company. Filed a fraudulent claim, never provided any proof. Luckily I took photos of the rental car before driving off. As soon as I sent those to the rental company, Sedgwick sent a letter saying they decided to close the case.”
“I am an LNI interpreter and worked a lot for patients whose company use Sedgwich for their industrial insurance. I have jobs for mire than one year that has not been paid. They just don‘t respond to inquiries and don‘t pay for jobs performed. Very bad company.”

Just be aware when you have to use this company.. you better know they will lie about paperwork that you send them!!”
“They waffle in their decision making. As if they do not know State FMLA laws. I have seen a personal claim end date change multiple times. They constantly request your health provider to submit documentation and certification excessively. Even if approved they will look for ways to deny and ask for clarification, claiming they are simply following State FMLA requirements. Yet, they do not even come close. It's a vicious cycle of either enept examiners or they truly do their best at making thr process difficult and redundant. They have even falsified information, as what examiner is/was working your claim. And will document an issue was resolved verbally over a phone conversation which never took place. I'm not sure if they have an obligation or a set standard in which they are legally bound to. They way they operate tells me, no. They could care less. Even more the the claimants disability. Examiners will say one thing and document something different. They will tell you what they need to see written on the providers statement I'm order to approve a claim. Then insist your provider clarify even further. I dread having any contact with them. I havr no experience with other companies to compare them too. Maybe they all work in this manner or Sedgwick really is ill equipped and ruthless. They literally make my CPD and depression worse. I believe they also, intentionally inundate the providers with unnecessary documentstion trying to get them to bail. I could recover sooner if I didn't have to subject myself to their havoc causing claims process.”
“Sedgwick is the worst! I have been on STD a few times for mental reasons and they caused my mental to be worse. I was approved previously for the same issues and problems but now they said my Doctor and Therapist are allowing me to self manifest my mental illness. Really? I guess my medications that are very high strength Im taking for fun too. I was never late on paperwork actually early but they took a month and questioned my doctor several times and therapist requiring additional notes. A total of 5 notes were sent to them. Its amazing that a nurse and not a doctor can override your pay but I was approved for ADA to keep my job. They think that to have mental issues that are debilitating you are faking it! They have way to much power and the companies they represent know that, yet they still offer a benefit you can never use because they have Sedgwick strong arming you and your doctors! They know it cost money for paperwork to be filled out and keep wanting more and more. Yet never offered to send me to their doctor for a second opinion. The company is trash and should be out of business. I once read a review that they were a death sentence and I 100% agree.”
“Having to deal with Sedgwick adds way more unnecessary stress on top of what I'm dealing from my recent stroke.
Their specialists don't have the proper training. From the start of my claim till now. I feel like if I have a medical appointment I need to leave an hour earlier just to deal with Sedgwick. I would give an example here but honestly I don't know which to pick. I wish Walgreens would find a different third-party claims management.”
“I am looking for your assistance with a claim that you denied,,,,,,but failed to let me know about the denial. I have called and left messages but apparantly you do not know how to retrieve them. Soon you will be answering to my attorney!

“For two+ years I have cared for my mother. So I would work 12 hours then go care for her another 6 to 8 hours and then return to work. She passed in the beginning of April. My physicians told Sedgwick I needed to be out on short term disability leave and they denied it, not once but twice. First off, the whole time no one contacted me to let me know any updates or anything about my claim. I had to call weekly if not two times a week. Secondly, no one explained that there wre two separate paper works for FMLA and STD. Thirdly, no one also explained that Sedgwick has the final say even after my physician stated I needed to be out. That's a high risk and a month is a long time to live without pay. So what Sedgwick is saying I would have been better off to come in and cry and be bitter and angry towards the patients?. That is what you are saying when you denied me my claim. This short term disability is a joke. And I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience. Ask yourself if you could make it a month without pay? That answer is no. It's okay because I promise to file complaints and many.”
“Good morning! I have been out of work due to a debilitating painfully disorder called Trigeminal neuralgia. I received my packet from Sedgwick on the 24th of April. I gave it to my health care provider. They faxed it. Sedgwick claimed they never received it. So my Human Resource manager had me to contact my health care provider to have them to fax it to her then she faxed it to Sedgwick. She sent it to Sedgwick and tagged me in the email. I have yet to hear if my claim was approved. It’s still in pending. I have checked the portal they give to check the status of my claims nothing has changed. My case manager will not answer her phone call. Leah. Also when she did call me back one time she was very rude. I am really in need of my short term disability. My claim may even go to long term based on my condition. I need to find a way to get answers”
“This company is awful to work with. My company uses them and they make it so difficult to get ahold of them. The number they give in their emails goes to some advertisement for life alert and when you finally get past that point of them trying to sell you life alert through a recording for 10 minutes, you don’t get any options to be directed to Sedgwick. I have called just about every number my company has on file for them and no one answers. I have tried every number they provide in their voicemails and the numbers either don’t work, or your routed and hung up on, or you are waiting and you don’t even know if it’s the right department your waiting for and it’s for an hour. I have tried to use the stupid chat and it’s just a robot who can’t help. I am locked out of my account with no way of getting a hold of anyone.”
