Says they will send you paperwork in two business days. You won’t get it for almost a week and a half with like 2 days to fill it out before it’s due back. When you call you are on a long wait list and I have waited up to 3 hours to talk to anyone who basically gave me a five minute run around about how it should have been emailed while staring at my inbox and checking my spam folder with nothing. Then they basically shrug it off. People are literally losing their jobs trying to use this 3rd party claims company.

Absence One is a part of Sedgwick. Nicole B. was great today, she helped fix my claim after Absence One screwed it up. She is definitely not the problem. Absence One however, is horrible. They are constantly not applying received paperwork to claims, close them as quickly as possible and will straight up lie to you and tell you it is your fault! Then it's backtracking- oh, well we did receive that. Oh, well it was supposed to be opened. We'll do it now. Get your sh*t together. Terrible service and stressing out people/parents of special needs children. Shame on you!

These so called case managers do not return calls in a timely manner.. I'm sitting in pain trying to reach my case worker to reach out to Peachtree Ortho, so they can start back treating me, an I can't seem to get a call from my case worker

Claim examiner, Teresa Clay is an absolute waste of space doesn’t do Her job doesn’t return messages upon request. What I can tell you is the best course of action is when you get the answering department ask for upper management I spoke to the VP of Sedgwick and trust me things started to get done. Also try Melissa Nelson claims Director at 906-869-9468. Good luck with

Sedgwick (formerly Sedgwick CMS) is not an actual insurer company. Rather, Sedgwick is a “third party administrator” (TPA) that gets hired to act as an outside insurance claims adjuster for companies that don't have their own in-house claims personnel.

They are handling my trade center. Case as a go-between the world trade Center health program and documentation they are the middle man so to speak. I have never in my life and I’ve been in business for quite some time I’ve dealt with the incompetence. That I’m dealing with now. every time they need a piece of information after I faxed it January 18 I get a letter saying that they need more information. They don’t tell you what you need it’s just a general BS letter. You call you get double talk try to speak to a supervisor that was not happening. So it took them two months by snail mail to tell me they need more documentation but didn’t tell me what it was. If I can give them a zero I would

The absolute worst to deal with. My car was totaled by a hit and run driver of a rental car. Six months later, I'm still trying to get paid for the value of my vehicle! Good luck if you need to work with them!!

I was hit by a truck in early January, covered by Sedgewick, Sedgewick made a claims statement that I accepted. I never recieved a check for the auto damage. I've called, emailed and faxed and no one has ever responded. No one seems to even be there.

The fact that everyone gave them 1 star should speak volumes for how they treat real workers.

I went to a wedding from Ohio to North Carolina last July. I went into a Sephora store in the mall. My knee bumped a display or something. I thought nothing of it and proceeded in line to pay for my item. I felt something wet and looked down and saw that I was bleeding. I'm not a dramatic person so I took out a band aid from my purse and put it on. I didn't say anything but it was all captured on their store cameras. I know this because once back to the hotel I called the store and spoke to manager and she says "I see a man come stand next to you at the register." I say yes my husband entered the store to find me and came to the register to ask if the store offered military discounts as he asks in most stores. So I know I was on camera. Long story short, once back to hotel the band aid was completely saturated and there was a gash in my leg. My husband told me it had to be something sharp which is why I didn't know I was injured. He said something dull would have hurt. We were in North Carolina for his sisters wedding who is a nurse. I sent her and my son who is in PA school pics and they both said they thought I needed sutures. My husband was in the wedding and was due to be at wedding rehearsals, I don't drive in places I'm not familiar with so he had to take me. It was just a big inconvenience more than anything. It took forever in urgent care. I received 5 stitches, but I now have a keloid and it itches constantly. It was my first time in urgent care, my first time getting stitches, my first time with a keloid. I am permanently scarred. I'm black so it's a really dark scar on my leg and it's a keloid so it's raised and itches when I stand for prolonged periods. I can rub the area and feel it thru the fabric of my leggings. I admit, I did feel some kind of way...like wow, all I did was just walk into a store, out of state no less. Lived in Ohio my whole life and have never needed stitches. Ever! Sedgwick handles claims for Sephora. No one ever got back with me from Sephora, when I spoke to the manager she took my name and address so I assumed I would be receiving paperwork to file a claim. Nothing ever came in the mail. I've never had so much as a mva insurance claim let alone a personal injury claim so I did t know what to expect. My pov has been that people sue for everything but dealing with Sedgwick I can see why people obtain lawyers. After sending a dossier to Sephora with cell phone records, pictures of my injury, medical records from urgent care and my pcp when back in my home state to get stitches removed, Sephora sent my claim to Sedgwick. I received a nice letter saying to contact them to discuss my claim. I'm naive I thought I would contact them and say hey you have all the proof, I'm not a shady person, I would like to settle my claim for this dollar amount. The letter sent to me is dated 11-21-23. It is now 3-12-24. I have called the adjuster twice and emailed and I have not heard from Sedgwick since the letter was sent to me. Like I said, I've never had a personal injury claim, but just from a business pov I find it rude and disingenuous and I guess I now see why people get attorneys.

My experience with Sedgwick yielded subpar results, as I found their expertise lacking and encountered a notable reluctance to listen. Consequently, I opted to involve the insurance company, and surprisingly, I received a resolution within a remarkably swift timeframe of less than two weeks.

I was pretty sure this clownshow was staffed by incompetents the first time we tangled with them over short term disability last fall, but it's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt with round 2 this spring, as apparently nobody there can tell right from left or is aware that humans have 2 separate arms that may require the same surgery to repair if they both do the same work. Spoilers for any Sedgewick reps who might be reading this- although I think the odds are pretty low, as it would require someone there to have any measure of reading comprehension and thus far the evidence is against that eventuality- if somebody has to have surgery for RSI in one hand, they'll probably need it in both, and any surgeon worth their pay is going to do those separately. One at a time. Because having both hands immobilized at the same time is a Very Bad Idea if it can be avoided. THIS DOES NOT IN FACT MEAN IT'S THE SAME SURGERY TWO TIMES. One hand is on the RIGHT side.... and one hand is on the LEFT side.... and they are two different hands. Say it with me. Different... hands. That means that it is NOT in fact a relapse of the same condition. I know it's confusing and there are probably a lot of big words in there, but if you sound them out carefully and apply a little critical thinking you should be able to get there in the end. Don't hurt yourself. Take it slow. Let me know when you get to the end. I'll just be over here trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my rent since you clever little creatures decided that you aren't going to pay out on this pre-approved claim, actually, because right and left are Very Difficult Concepts.

The people that work here seem nice but to know you work for a company that does business in such a heartless way makes me wonder about the people who work here. Worst experience of my life so far and that's an actual statement. Had to quit my job because my wife's maternity leave was denied for 6 weeks unpaid leave. To make matters worse Sedgwick didn't tell her she had to find out when she nearly lost her job and had to use all her PTO to keep it. Would've been nice to have known this in advance so we could've planned properly.

If it were possible to give them a zero, I would certainly do that. Sedgwick has done nothing more than give me the runaround the entire time I’ve been trying to handle my claim they have asked me to send them paperwork. Once I send them to them they tell me it’s incorrect. I get the doctor to correct it they send it back and asked for the same thing to be changed back to what the doctor originally put. my paperwork too took two months for them to approve only to deny the claim three days later I am so confused. The employees are very nonchalant and uncaring. It’s very difficult to have someone call you back. It’s even more difficult to have them follow up with you regarding paperwork they received. It is certainly justified in their inability to communicate I really believe that this company should be out of business.

Better hope that went you're on workers comp nothing even remotely makes your Injury worse because they will stop paying you despite having your injury still. So you'll be stuck out of work because of the injury ANNND absolutely no money coming in because this place will use any excuse to NOT pay you and leave you high and dry trying to figure out how you're gonna pay your bills and rent. But what do they care!

Sedgwick absence one is what we use for FMLA. I have never seen a more disorganized company. Constantly sending me "we have not been able to get a hold of you and we will drop your coverage, " after I just talked to them. Making me fill out the same things over and over again, denying one and then accepting the same thing after I did it again. Its a sh*tshow company.

Hope that you never have to deal with David Lavergne. Most condescending adjuster and lack of empathy or the willingness to do the right thing.
