Very poor on getting the basics correct. First car purchase from Darlington had another customers service pack put in the glovebox, no attempt was made to rectify this I had to return to the dealership and wait for them to sort the correct service package out after I’d been told it was ready for collection. Second car purchase from the Durham branch, after 2 weeks they still have not notified the DVLA about change of ownership. Contacted dealership, no apologies or call back to say they have rectified the situation. Very slap dash dealership.

I have a Kia Sportage will be 2yr old in June. Display unit went off in March, no sat nav,reverse camera, radio,phone etc. unit has been on order since March not expected until June. If parts are that hard to get very disappointed

After reading reviews I had decided on a Mazda3 so it should have been an easy sale. I stood at the reception desk being ignored. Another customer told me to wallk over to a desk at the back of the showroom. Also the sales rep was totally disinterested in telling me anything about the car. I actually changed my mind and left. AS i wanted the car i went back and asked for a test drive. I bought the car despite your salesmen. When I collected the car and handed over my keys to my trade-in, he was too busy on his phone to even look up, he just held out his hand for my keys.

We were really disappointed with the poor customer care we received when purchasing a Used Vehicle from SG Petch Nissan Durham. We wouldn’t recommend this particular branch and we won’t be a returning customer. Shame as it seems others have had an excellent experience at other SG Petch branches!

No pre sale contact at all i know we are in strange times but the sale was completed with video etc. Since the sale there has been no courtesy call or pre sale check on satisfaction . Very disappointing and not what i expected.

The whole process of buying a car can be stressful, but this experience was way beyond normal. I ordered a car with some factory fitted options and I was given a strong impression that this would include a drivers electric seat as part of the electrically heated leather upgrade, which are absolutely essential for me. This turned out to be incorrect and the drivers seat was manual. Whilst this was not a deal breaker, it left me feeling anxious and stressed, over the 5 month period, as I felt I could not entirely trust that the car would be delivered to the specification I need and had ordered. At no point was there any communication during the whole process unless I initiated it. The only call from SG Petch was to tell me the car had arrived at the dealership. With both my previous two cars, a Mercedes and a Volvo, communication was regular and informative, without me having to chase it. Having said that the handover process was smooth and the car itself is exceeded expectations.

What started out as a positive process and purchase turned into a negative one. When we viewed the car it only had one key but we were assured by the salesman at the time that he'd provide a second key. We naively thought that would be the same as the existing one i.e. a remote control key. AFTER we'd made the purchase of the car, the key we actually received was a manual one (presumably costing less). When we queried this we were told that they'd never said it would be the same - only a replacement one. When I escalated this with the Sales Manager AND SG Petch's General Manager I was given the predictable answer that they satisfied what they'd said they would. How stupid of us not to be mind readers and predict this when we signed on the dotted line.......

My car came in for second service told there was sludge in washer bottle quoted £280 plus vat as it would take 3 hrs to do got car back home it took me 15 min to sort it out complained told someone would get back to me. 24 hours later nothing just shows they don’t care once you drive the car away. Sales were excellent service customer service leaves a lot to be desired

i bought this car and paid top dollar on condition the wheels were conditioned from being scratched etc. These were repaired through you in the most poor and cheap finish possible. Who sprays wheels over outer wheel weights which shouldnt be fitted on OUTER alloy wheel rims anyway.Who sprays wheels without smoothing and preparing and removing rust. All 4 wheels need doing again properly at my own cost DISSAPOINTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

Sales Manager very helpful. No pressure to buy. Deal done with the exception of some cosmetic repairs, a deep clean and service history update. Three weeks later on collection. The car not valeted to a good standard and service history was updated incorrectly. Manager agree to pay for another valet and get history corrected. After numerous e mails without any reply. I contacted customer services to lodge a complaint. Four weeks later I finally got my payment for the valet. Week five on still no sign of the corrected service history. I appreciate at the present time things are not normal but If SG Petch are willing to sell cars then their after sales and customer service needs to improve dramatically

Sale went through great with Gary at Middlesbrough but after care is very poor. Lock nut key was missing and was sent to Darlington for nothing. Never received a call back and after ringing to speak to Gary I was told he is with a customer and would call me back. No call back and it has cost me £63 to buy a replacement lock nut key which is disgraceful after spending almost £11,000. Don’t think I’ll use S G Petch in future.

Left sitting around on our own for long period of time when we went to buy and collect the car without even an offer of a drink or any other hospitality. We felt that the salesman did not know enough information concerning the car and seemed disinterested in us. We only bought the car as we thought it was a bargain or we would have left without a purchase.

I bought a Hyundai 1.4 on the 11/02/2020, on that day I was promised that I would be sent some black paint to cover a small scratch.The paint didn’t arrive so I phoned S G Petch and I was told that the matter would be searched up.It is now 3/03/2020 and I have still not received the paint and not even a phone call with an apology or a explanation .I am not pleased !

Purchased a Hyundai Kona Iron Man limited edition just over two weeks ago. After taking the car home we found two blatant faults with the paint work. Can’t believe this was not picked up prior to leaving the factory or showroom. Totally disgusted. Just back from 2 week holiday therefore fault not rectified yet.

I am happy with the car I bought from SG Petch, but the customer service I received was non-existent. The dealer was reluctant to show me the cars I wanted to view initially, and then did not come with me for the test drive. The dealer was also not interested in selling me the car, and had I not absolutely loved the value of the car, I would not have purchased it. Upon paying my deposit, the paperwork was not explained to me at all. I was asked to sign a fair few documents without the dealer explaining to me what they were. I picked up my car two weeks later, where the dealer was slightly happier. Nevertheless, I was still asked to sign paperwork without having it explained to me on the day. I expected to be shown how the car functions when picking it up, but was only shown this when I asked the dealer to. The dealer also forgot to take the full payment for the car on the day (I paid asking price), and had I not reminded him, I would have been able to walk away with the car for the price of the deposit. The car came in great condition hence the 2-star review, but lack of customer service has let SG petch down.

Had my car for 6 weeks and have had to go back to Petch’s 3 times, including to have parts replaced. Have had my car back for 4 days and had to call out RAC. So glad I didn’t take out the service plan as I hope never to go back again. No trust in the car and even less in the dealership.

My 2 year old Hyundai Tucson has just been serviced, the garage informed me it needed 2 new front tyres, the car has only done 15000 miles, when I questioned this and said, you should get at least 20000 miles from a set of front tyres , they replied well you need one new tyre?? at a cost of £154.. this is my 3rd car with Hyundai each time I have change the car before the 3year lease was complete and with an average of 25000 miles on the clock and no tyre replacements, All I got from Hyundai Middlesbrough was you cannot have the car back unless I paid for a new tyre. well I say to Hyundai , you have just lost a valuable customer as I now intend to go to one of your competitors and change this car ...

During the procedure of buying my car from SG Petch, I feel that information was mis-communicated between departments. I was told I had an appointment at a certain time and when I went for that appointment it was the wrong time then I found out it wasn't even me that had the appointment. I was also told that the cheque used to buy the car had cleared and I could arrange to pick it up. After I'd organised a day and time to pick it up and rang my insurance company to change the insurance I had a phone call to say I couldn't have the car as the cheque had not cleared. Also I was also told when I picked the car up, a follow up telephone call would be made to check everything was ok. I am still waiting for that phone call 5 weeks later. I actually love the car but would say that this should have been an exciting and enjoyable experience but I found it very stressful and a let down.

I have had my cars serviced over 12 times at the garage. I can’t really complain about the quality of the work but the booking system for pick up or lifts rarely goes smoothly. I have had problems with the pick up and delivery over 50 percent of times. Enough is enough. Today I waited in all morning for car to be picked up. Oh sorry the booking system does not have down for collection. I need to go elsewhere
