“I found ordering online the most frustrating experience I've had for many a long time I ended up phoning your office and the lady I spoke to was most helpful talking me through what had to be done and directing me through your very bad illogical and most complicated website The time it took was far longer than the former facility of making a phone call and ordering items by word of mouth. All l I required was information documents as Local Training Manager to give to my new leaders. The Scout Association is making life very difficult for volunteer leaders by putting in place difficult systems to navigate ones way through Please can you restore the system of being able to make a phone call and order the papers that I require i.e. yellow cards and other supporting papers for new leaders Thank you Paul Ketteridge Local Training Manager Buckinghamshire”

Hi Paul, Thank you for leaving feedback, our new website should make it easier to find what you need and generally our customers are very pleased to save time and hassle by ordering on the web directly. We ship over 1 million free documents every year and if we took these orders over the phone we would never be able to serve the amount of customers that we do. That being said you can phone in and speak to customer services however we no longer take payments over the phone to avoid the risk of your details being shared in an environment where cant guarantee your security. We feel we are making life as easy as we can for volunteers by allowing them to order online 24 hours a day and delivering these publications free of charge (for the free resources). “I bought 2 pride badges for my Twins, I ordered them on a Sunday as they were parading the following Saturday in a gay pride representing the Lancashire scouts I paid nearly £4 for postage they only just arrived in time on the Friday, I think the postage is expensive But then to find they are not allowed on the uniform only the scout blanket, what good is that, is a great way of keeping the badges safe but no one gets to see the ones I bought, they are good quality such a shame in this day and age”

Hi, Our delivery terms are 3-5 working days for standard delivery and Friday would have been the last day they could be delivered as per our T&C's (we do however always try our best to get them out sooner!). Our badge postage is currently under review and we are hoping to introduce badge only reduced price soon! For the badge placement I am afraid we can only advise that a blanket badge goes on a blanket. You can ask your local leadership to propose the badge may become a uniform badge maybe to be worn on the month Pride takes place. Thanks Scout Store

“We always buy our Group scarves (neckers) from Scout Stores. The website is easy t use to get the correct design. Scarves have always been consistent in terms of quality and colours. Delivery time is variable, so it's necessary to plan ahead in case the colour combination is not in stock.”

“It was impossible to judge what size top I was getting as women's clothes are not measured by width when laid flat. Considering I have to have uniform and the price of it I wouldn't have thought actual sizes and even a women's version rather than unisex was too much to ask for. So yes I got what I ordered and I got it quickly but I paid the earth and as I couldn't risk too small it is of course too big, but hey room to breath.”

Hi, The adult uniform does come in female sizing for both the shirt and the trousers https://shop.scouts.org.uk/uniforms/adult. Is that the ones you had difficulty with? Thanks Scout Store
