I got insurance with you guys and then was canceled within 2 months I was dropped because the cost of replacing my house was to high

I'm buying out my lease car Been just about a month requesting Simply IOA to send my bank( I'm taking a loan out to buy the car) a binder I was promised 3 weeks ago that it was sent out and it wasn't I had spent countless of hours reaching out to these people just to get a simple binder to be sent to my bank so I can buy my lease car it happens that they put the wrong PO Box number or didn't finish adding the PO Box number as per my bank Which they even called on my behalf Don't know what the problem is with this company but didn't know that adding 1,2,or 3 numbers was so difficult My bank rep spoke to this guy Charles -he is rude and needs some people skills Kept on putting us on hold ,than says he is working on it Well it's now 4:45 pm,since this morning he has been working on the correct PO Box number "REALLY" I DOUBT THAT!! This is the 3rd time I have been LIED TOO! Not taking it anymore!!

When trying to call Simply IOA spoke with Jay and Rosaile which was very rude and sarcastic on the phone when I asked about updating Mortgagee loan number on the policy. The request has been made on 2/9/24 and still today this has not been updated. When transferred I was hung up on, I would call back and then someone would pick up the phone and hang up on me. Then I am told they have been having phone issues for a few weeks. I asked if I could give my number so that I am not continuing to have to call back and Rosaile continued to talk over me. I have not been successful with getting any response by email. Very poor communication.

Called to cancel homeowners policy due to sale of property. In addition to other hoops, Rosalie said that I would need to send them copy of settlement statement. I told her that wasn’t necessary as I could cancel the policy for any reason. She became very rude and told me I didn’t know what I was talking about and that she was the expert. I asked to speak with her boss. She was insolent. I said let me complete my business so I could get off the phone with her. If I ever need insurance in Florida again, it will not be with this company.

This company was recommended by a friend, I did get a great quote but the person handling the quote process was awful. He called and left me 1 message and his call was returned the same day but I had to leave a message (at this point the closing was about 10-12 days out.) I called again about 4 days later, I had to leave a message. A few days later my mortgage broker contacted me and said that the rep emailed her and said I wouldn't respond to any of his efforts of communication. Long story, but I was very disappointed that he 'threw me under the bus' when it was he who had let the paperwork lag!

I got a scam e-mail stating I’d lost coverage with you, when I’ve never BEEN with you, and now will never consider. Tell your agent, Gail D., in Lake Mary, FL that sending e-mails like that is a very negative way to drum up business. In fact, it has the OPPOSITE effect, and reflects on your entire company and agent business practices. It probably violates a Florida insurance law as well.

To become a customer is very very difficult - and process, and communication is slow - then once I became a customer, customer service was even worse. Regret I became a customer, but simply to time absorbing to shift away..

I failed to understand why a Chapter 13 from 4 or 5 years ago would affect my homeowners insurance policy. The gentleman I spoke with was professional, but I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with a $300 up charge because I had some Financial issues a few years ago.

I contacted simplyioa in the middle of june. I told mike I needed my insurance by 6/28/23. we started working on the policy. When it became time to wait if we were approved or not. I e-mailed mike several times with no response. After several days I received mail mike stating he would be out of the office until 6/28/23. I contacted your office by phone three times only to end up on hold. In july my allstate agent told me they could write citizens policies. i started a back-up plan. then mike's mail said he would be out until 7/28/23. my insurance is $$$ cheaper than the final quote from your office. If I could give this guy a zero, I would. Dealing with them has been a total niteman. Cut it short I was told my home would be covered because it was my primary residence even though I had renter. If I had sent in my money I'm sure I would have kissed it goodbye. When I got my binder it said "no rentals". I called MIKE STANTON and he assured me he wrote the policy correctly that was on 6/5/23 after going back with forth with many sales reps cause Mike took time off and said he would be back on 6/28 but he did not get back til 7/6 according to him that's why I had to deal with plenty others. I was out of time on my HO I needed coverage. He guaranteed. Well on 7/7/23 after many emails he finally stated he called the Southern Oak and in fact I would not be covered. Great. I got money orders, a four point inspection, a new hot water heater, jumped thru all their hoops only to not be covered. I would not recommend this company at all. I am furious

Multiple delays and cancelled policies due to clerical errors in the paperwork. Lender institution and address were incorrect, resulting in a delay in closing and an increase in closing costs of $855. I effectively paid 50% more for the policy due to these extra costs. I was also overcharged by $100. The first policy that was later cancelled was paid in full up front. After it was cancelled, the new policy was $100 less expensive and I was promised a refund of the difference but have not received it.

Last January 2023, i was contacted by Simply IOA agent Travis Beekman when I was looking for car insurance for 2 cars. He gave me progressive at first, quoted for about $197+ but when the underwriting reviewed the application, it went up to $600 premium. I told him every detail that he need to know about us driving. So i cancelled progressive and asked for refund. Nevertheless, i was still charged for the 2 days coverage and fees, refunded only $140. He gave me another quote for $210 premium, auto owners insurance. I asked him if this is not going to change again, affirmed to me that it will not. Days later, auto owners are asking for proof of insurance for last 5 years. Or the premium goes up to $420+. He knows we dont have that 5 years history. I told him to cancel that since i dont agree to the premium. 01/20/2023, we started the conversation for cancellation, filled up and sigmed cancellation forms, submitted to him. I followed up 02/3/2023 as the bill is still in my account and i did not receive any notice for cancellation. Following up week by week, he responded on the 12th of february. Still not cancelled. The account was past its due on february 10. I am not paying that. I keep calling, all goes to voicemail. I sent emails, no response. This is disappointing, disrespectful and frustrating.

A simple request to move my 4 policies under a new LLC is still not complete. I even agreed to completely rewrite them all at the same time (original expiration dates are all different). The only means of getting a response was to visit the local office in person and discuss the delay with Jolene and Cindy. It has been more than 4 weeks and I am still waiting for these policies to be completed. What should have been a simple request has been extremely frustrating due to lack of response or care. Without a local representative here in the middle Keys to service my policies, doing business with IOA has become very unpleasant and difficult.

Stay away from this company! I was sold a policy with misleading information from the agent. I immediately called back an hour later to cancel. The next day I was told by the agent that I could not cancel the policy. I called back and asked for a supervisor. I was given the run around to 7 different people. They transferred me to another agent instead of a supervisor. He said he would take care of the cancellation but would need proof of insurance which I sent him. Then he said he would need last years proof of insurance which I sent him. I contacted Progressive today, 2 weeks later, and they said they have no communication from the agent about cancelling my policy. I had to cancel it myself and was told I would receive a refund within 3 days. Not 10 days as I was told by the Simlyioa agent.

Agent hung up on me when I would agree to a blanket "1'll sign today before hearing or comparing against my current policy. Sorry to say it sounded like a boiler operation with pressure to get a deal done today.
